The look on his face is pretty good! It's a mix between "being proud" or "annoyed" at the same time... I like it. It expresses strong character!
The position of his arms is also well done.

In this case, the black parts (felt pen?) are not very well drawn. I believe the pen was almost empty. Or did you try to mix gray and black pens?
Mixing colours is a cool idea but you need to use it more carefully... for example: Gray could be the light parts (highlights) and black the dark parts (shadow). Many pens and paper behave differently... it's not easy but with "try and error" you will find the perfect combination for your needs.

Again, try to get black felt pens which are permanent or "sun proof"... or it will turn purple in a couple of years!!
