Jennifer leaned into the sink basin, poured another round of dish soap on to her hands and scrubbed at the black smear on the green of her arm. “Damn grease…" She muttered. Being a mechanic, the alligator's thick scales came in handy, most of her body covered in natural armor plates, but it came at the cost of the nooks and ridges between them getting filled completely with annoying black gunk.
Another round of scrubbing and aside from a subtle stain on her palm there was little left of the fetid substance. Jennifer turned off the water and dried her hands. She glanced at the clock and frowned; it was 7:30 and John still wasn't home. Her tail tapped against the kitchen floor. Her boyfriend was usually home by six.
Click-click-click…. click-click-click
She drummed her fingers, claw tips clacking against the counter, eyeing the TV and the food she'd ordered in. Halfway sitting down on the sofa, Jennifer straightened up as the front door unlocked, swung open, and John's tired face greeted her. “Hey hun!" She beamed, rushing over to greet him, and drew him into a tight hug.
“Easy, girl," her boyfriend grunted, the impact partially winding him. His expression lightened seeing her smile, but only a little.
“Long day at the office?" She asked softly, curling her tail around his waist. Even in the well-heated apartment the rush of warmth from his body made her tingle, distracting her.
His arms looped around her sides and squeezed, a hand reaching over to brush along her long tail. “Yeah. Real hard day today. Got chewed out for something dumb. Sorry I'm so late, Jen."
She leaned down to touch his forehead with the edge of her snout while her fingers gently played with his hair. “No it's okay, I figured something was wrong. I'm sorry, monkey."
He sighed, and it hurt Jennifer to see John so downcast. In one swift motion she slipped a hand beneath his knees, the other cradling his neck, and lifted her dearest into a bridal carry. She was careful not to drop him as he squirmed in confusion.
“J-Jen," he gasped, collecting himself. “P-put me down," he pouted, “you know how I feel about being held like this."
“And you know how I feel seeing you sad. Sorry hun, not getting out of this~" She purred, pulling him tighter to her body, his cheek brushing against the underside of her bosom. His face flushed pink. The bashful, flustered expression was too sweet to her. She rumbled lowly, the force of it vibrating right through the dear and jostled him playfully.
John had such a visible reaction to her teasing. He couldn't rumble or bellow like she could, but she could feel him grow warmer or see the way his skin would change colours--though he denied humans could do that, Jennifer knew what she saw. It was the most delightful thing, and it simply made her want to do it more.
She knew him well, for all his pouting about her advances, deep down he enjoyed it. Her heart warmed seeing the edges of his lips curl into a soft smile.
“It's almost unreal how you can just do that." He whispered.
“Do what, dear~?" She cooed coyly, leaning down to prod his chest with her jaw , her tail giddily tapping against the floor as he hugged it, and kissed the edge of her snout. The brush of his lips like a brilliant burst of loving warmth as it radiated across her face--perhaps the closest she could get to a blush. She rather liked the sensation.
“Turn a shit day into a good one," explained John. “I feel spoiled."
Jennifer giggled, carrying him towards the sofa. “Well, good news. I bought your favourite for dinner too."
“Aww, you shouldn't have,"
“Too late~"
A quiet grunt slipped from her throat as they plopped down onto the couch; the day had been exhausting, and her weary muscles were happy for some downtime. Positioned carefully atop her lap, Jennifer slung an arm around her boyfriend's waist, reaching for their dinner with the other.
“I'm guessing I'm paying my half in cuddles, love?"
“Mmhmm…" She patted his side, offering a plate to him," but first, dinner."
“You're the best, Jen." He murmured.
“I know," she laughed. John hadn't realized it yet, but she had no intention of letting him go once they finished eating.
It was only fair then that John caught her by surprise the moment she put down her plate. He lavished her broad neck with the attention of his lips, each kiss making her shiver, her tail sweeping along the edge of the sofa. The slow trickle of his body heat from presence alone pooled pleasantly in the core of her being, but the barrage of smooches heightened that joyous comfort further until it threatened to melt her. It was blissful, like slowly drifting off into a comfortable blanket on a cold winter.
In a flurry she pulled her lover into a tight hold, wrapping her arms and legs around him, burying him between her bosom, and set him against the wall of her abs. Only his hair peaked out at the edges of the sofa, his subtle motions tickling something almost primal in Jennifer. “You breathing alright down there?" She hissed, giggling as a hand pat her along the hip once.
'Yes'.
“Good. Now get comfy....we're behind schedule for our cuddling." His voice tickled her stomach, and Jennifer raised herself just slightly, peering down from between her breasts. “What was that?"
“...Missed you too, love."
She chuckled, and with a soft pamf, she dropped herself back down onto John, wiggling her hips for good measure.
Such a lovely little piece though! So perfectly encapsulating that slice-of-life style that offers but a glimpse at these two's daily life. Just the right length to get a good understanding of the characters and the feelings they hold for one another. Really well done! <3
Hope you enjoyed my other stuff as much!
