The First Congregational Church of Christ of Berea was established in 1855 by seven staunch abolitionists. The current church was buikt in 1869. This light, with its CFL, is located above the main entrance.

Trust me, we have some pretty large temperature swings, even within a single day. It is one of the reasons I would never use a CFL outside, unless there is one designed for exterior use. I tend to use quartz halogen and derivatives thereof for exterior lighting.
Guess what company has gained tremendous loyalty up here? GREAT marketing :-D
There are special LED art bulbs just purpose made for this condition. Most pro camera stores and art shops carry them. But price? AAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! 0,o;
