Did you know that they make that laughing sound to establish territory and for breeding reasons.
The kookaburras I have met at zoos all seem to have quite a bit of personality. They also tend to be very inquisitive and like to interact with people who take the time to give them time to acclimate to you. I have been going long enough that some of them have passed on, and I actually mourn their leaving us.
