The Epic Scenery

Title can't be empty.

I felt like writing something to symbolize a sort of grandiose, wondrous landscape/scenery, such as what one would find in Alaskan fjords, for instance. I wanted something grand and sweeping, with an undertone of etherealism, and this is what I came up with. (I even used the beautifully breathy Shakuhachi!)

Written & recorded with Sibelius; mixed with Audacity.

It's good, but for some reason I feel like it's missing something. That last little thing to make it really have the grandeur feeling... I can't put my finger on it, but if I figure it out, I'll let you know.

What if you add a small high noted violin throughout the whole thing? I think that would make it sound a little more complete. But it's still very nice. Or maybe some percussion here and there. Not sure.

I don’t think I’ll be adding percussion; I want a really smooth, ambient sort of effect. But I get what you mean about the violin; maybe a high flute instead? I’ll try it out. =) … When I get the chance. x_x

Haha, yeah. Flute would be nice. Hope you get a chance soonish. ; )

Actually, this song sort of reminds me of the beginning song for the game Spyro: A New Beginning
