With this, the uploading of our back catalog to SoFurry concludes (but we have a new song coming up very soon, so 'watch' us now!).

Our song for the 2012 FurFright Masquerade was a parody of "Somebody That I Used To Know", by Gotye featuring Kimbra. This made us, I believe, the 3 millionth people to cover, remix or parody this song. However, I haven't seen any other [i]furry[/i] parodies here (or on FA), so there you go. And I really like the idea of using a break-up song to tell the tale of someone who lost their fursuit to someone else. It struck me during the writing process that it must be a very unique sense of loss for a person to see someone else with something that was such a big part of them. I mean, we're playing it for comedy here, but for some people, it probably almost [i]is[/i] like a break-up, with the same feelings of bitterness and loss.

Recording the vocals was a lot of fun. AsiaNeko was our first choice to do the female part, and thankfully, since we live relatively close to each other, she was able to come and actually record with us in person! Even better, she and her bf came out to FurFright for a day, and Asia joined us onstage for the Masquerade. Also starring in our sketch was Raishi (aka 'Sarai' in fursuit), pictured in the submission thumbnail photo with , Asia and I. Sarai played the part of the titular fursuit's new owner, with Asia singing her part from the side of the stage while Sarai acted it out. The sketch seemed to go really well, which was a huge relief, and we ended up winning 2nd Prize (for the 3rd time). This was the first time that the success or failure of our sketch depended on other people, and we couldn't have asked for better partners than Asia and Raishi/Sarai. They showed up when we needed them, did what we needed them to do, and I'd say they exceeded our expectations. Asia and Raishi, thank you both so much. You guys were awesome, and really helped us bring this song to life. We couldn't have done it without you.
