Red Envoy
Two versions of the same character. This is Red, Celestina's envoy. In an alternate timeline the shock of losing Jubei in the midst of a very emotional battle sent Celestina over the edge. Her husband's dying flicker of energy bounced through their mating link and sent Celestina over the edge of what was known to their people. She transcended into an almost god-like being.
She still doesn't fight, so Celestina created Red. She found the process of creating an envoy in the ancient tomes of her people, and thus Red was "born". The right hand version is his original self. He's mostly featureless and doesn't start to develop a face until he's been "alive" for quite some time. Red doesn't speak, and his emotions are a reflection of Celestina's.
Far later Red does develop somewhat of a personality, but it's mostly child-like curiosity. No one in her people's history has ever run an envoy as long as Celestina has with Red.
