Very nice work, but I cannot help but look at the figure and think that the spine would have to be very convoluted or bent ninety degrees around the transition to the anthro portion of the figure. Perhaps you can move the anthro portion up and bend it forward some at the transition point? Expanding the lion figure's shoulders upwards some might also help.

I know how hard it is to put together these composite figures from firsthand experience, and I think you did a good job. I am just wondering if it can be improved further.

I tend to agree with you, but I'm not sure just how to correct it :( The main problem, as I see it, lies in our societies perception of a "classic" 'taur, equine or otherwise.. We've been conditioned to think a 'proper' 'taur is a human torso on a horse body..humans are vertical, equines tend to be mainly horizontal. I suppose one could make a 'taur with just a human chest and head on a horse body, maybe angled at about 45 degrees, but to me, that that wouldn't look "right", despite being more anotomically possible. I guess I'll just have to settle for being anotomically incorrect for art's sake :)
