Chapter 16 All Hallows' Eve

Another week passed, and it was already Halloween. Toby, Tommy, and Phoebe walked to Sasha house all were in their anthro forms dressed up as werewolves for Halloween. Toby's naturally looked the most impressive. Sasha greeted him wearing a slightly risqué red riding hood costume complete with red hooded cloak along with a wicker picnic basket.

Toby gave her a seductive growl while his siblings rolled their eyes. Her mother came over and laughed as she caught a glimpse of him.

“Oh, look at you! That's costume is so awesome!" she told him, and she nudged him playfully.

“Really? Little Red Riding hood?" Phoebe muttered.

“I'm actually Thicc Red Riding Hood" Sasha joked before she looked at them all. “What are you dress up as?"

“I'm Beast Belle from Beauty" Phoebe spoke proudly.

“I'm just a werewolf" Tommy slightly embarrassed.

“I was supposed to dress up?" Toby muttered.

Sasha's mother busted out laughing. “Todd come downstairs! I want to take a picture of you!" she shouted.

They made their way to the fireplace, and Todd came downstairs timidly. He looked over at them shocked. “M-m-mom!? Are you serious!? They are real werewolves!" He shouted as she took several pictures with her phone.

She looked back at him and frowned. “Where's your costume?"

“I'm not going!"

“But Todd! Free candy" Tommy added.

“It's okay, he's probably still afraid" Phoebe said.

“I'm not afraid!" Todd shouted.

“You sound afraid" Phoebe retorted.

“Todd…I think it would be a good idea if you hang around them. Afterall, Tommy and Nathan saved you…remember?" His mother said.

“Come on Todd…Wouldn't it be fun to join a rowdy rambunctious pack of werewolves for Halloween? No one is going to bully you. Just tell 'em your sister is dating Toby" Sasha said before she looked towards Toby adamantly.

“I'm putting these all on Facebook!" Sasha's mother said as she focused on her phone. “Oh, your Grandma and Grandpa are going over"

“Oh, they must really like Toby then"

“Oh yes honey, they want to go on that trip you've been planning on going"

“Uh, do they know?" Phoebe asked.

“Sasha has already told them" Toby explained.

Todd made his way back downstairs dressed as the Incredible Hulk. Zoe and Nathan came over dressed as werewolf Wonder Woman and Superman. Sasha's mother made them come inside and join the photo shoot. Afterwards, they all headed outside and walked through the neighborhood, trick-or-treaters and parents stared at him as they walked by.

Eventually they reached the street corner where Zoe, Sasha, and Toby would separate from Tommy and Phoebe's group.

“You got our numbers right?" Zoe asked.

“Yes" Nathan groaned.

“See ya!" Toby told them with his scary voice. Todd shuttered and gulped as Sasha walked off with them. Toby's werewolf paw was under Sasha's cloak obviously getting a feel of her rump. He growled to himself lowly irritated with his sister dating that brute.

Once they arrived at Clare's mansion, Clare answered the door dressed up as a succubus with a skimpy leather bikini sort of thing. Her wings and horns looked super realistic. She stared at Toby always in awe before she snickered to herself. “Whoa! You just keep getting bigger don't you! Just don't knock your head on the top of the door on your way in" she told him.

“Wow, your costume looks so…" Sasha said grabbing Clare's wing before she immediately released it. “Real!?"

“Are you surprised?" She asked before she turned around placing a hand on her hip and flicking her tail.

“Oh…well…It makes sense now" She said.

They came inside and the supernatural club stared at Toby and Zoe in disbelief. “Okay…where did you get your costumes? They look absolutely realistic" her friend said before she grabbed Toby's hand to examine his claws. She raised an eyebrow as her other friends stared on.

Clare laughed as she brushed by him. “Just don't scratch up the furniture" she said before she rushed into the kitchen. She stopped and looked back at him and Zoe amused. “You really don't lay off on the make-up effects, do you?" she said before she slinked back into the kitchen.

“I don't wear make up!" Toby protested.

“Okay, you all know that everything that happened at homecoming was real right?" Sasha stated.

Percy walked in from the dining room, and he was dressed up as Gabriel Van Helsing, which he stared at Toby intensely. “Stand back from her! Vile fiend!" he shouted before he shot a nerf dart at him from his crossbow.

To the crowd's amusement, Toby dodged it and ran through the living room up the stairs. Percy shot multiple rounds at Toby as he ran through the open walkway. Kari gracefully walked out of the bathroom bearing her fox ears and ornate kimono only to be popped square in the forehead with a dart. She shot Toby an angry leer as he leaped off the walkway onto Percy knocking him down onto a giant bean bag chair.

Clare barged out into the living room and glared at Toby and Percy. “Hey! No rough housing!" she shouted. Zoe snickered as most of their friends stared in astonishment, and Sasha pulled Toby off from Percy who was gasping for breath.

She pulled a rolled-up newspaper and smacked Toby upside the head. “Bad! Bad Wolf!" she shouted playfully.

Their friends laughed although some nervously. Kari walked down the stairs glaring at Percy and Toby. “Baka!" she shouted.

Sasha cocked her head cutely. “Who are you dressed as?" she asked Kari.

Kari smiled. “I'm Princess Kaguya" she said before she sat down on the couch.

“With Fox ears?" Zoe teased.

“So, are we going to play cards against humanity or what?" the boy wearing the Kaonashi costume asked.

As they had their rousing card game, Todd and his group were running around the neighborhood trying to gather as much candy as possible. Todd gorged on his candy, which Phoebe looked at him concerned as they stopped at the neighborhood park.

“Uh, how much candy have you eaten?" she asked.

Todd looked at him oddly. “I don't know, why?" he replied.

“Your heart is beating super-fast" She mentioned.

“Yea…um…my bag is already full, and you hardly have any in there" Nathan said shaking his bag.

Todd looked down at his bag full of empty wrappers, and he started to feel very nauseous. “I feel like I'm going to puke!" he said.

Nathan raised an eyebrow. “We'll you picked all the chocolate bars you could find, what else would you expect?" he remarked.

Todd glared at him. “What are you talkin'…" he muttered before he threw up onto the sidewalk.

“Dude, he doesn't know yet" Tommy whispered to him.

A group of teenagers who reeked of pumpkins were unfortunately in the path of the splatter, and they stopped looking at their costumes covered in a brown chunky mess. “The fuck!?" one of them shouted.

“You ruined my costume!" another shouted.

Todd threw up once more, and they jumped back. “Hey! Dumbass! That's not funny!" one of them shouted at Nathan and Tommy who could not stop laughing at the show.

“It is" Nathan said with a gleeful smile.

One of them stormed over and was about to grab onto Nathan's collar before Todd threw up once more. “God damn it!" he shouted before he pushed Todd down to the ground.

Nathan snickered. “You really look you're dressed up as Chicken curry!" he said before the teen threw a wild punch at him. He jumped back only for Todd to get hit instead, which he gasped. “Oh shit! Hey are you alright?" he asked.

Todd sat on the ground and started growling viciously. Phoebe crossed her arms over her chest glancing over at Todd bearing his fangs casually saying, “I would start running if I were you"

“Why should we? You should be the one running!" Another teen's retorted.

“Toby's my brother…and Zoe is his sister" Tommy warned them. Todd turned towards them and snarled exhibiting his lupine features.

The teens jumped back shouting. “Yo, it's like homecoming!"

“Hey get the fuck out!" Nathan shouted as he shoved the teen back with his immense strength.

One of teens rolled his ankle off the curb and fell into the road looking at Todd's contorted face. “Holy shit!" he shouted before he ran off followed by the other teens.

Nathan looked back at Todd as Phoebe and Tommy grabbed him dragging him into the park across the street. Nathan ran after him shouting, “Hey! Stop! Wait up!".

Once Todd was released, he collapsed to the ground wallowing in pain. “Hey, Todd! You alright?" He asked.

Todd clenched his teeth and grabbed his chest. “What's happening to me!?" he shouted out.

“What do you think is happening?" Phoebe asked with a lack of concern with his wellbeing still with her arms crossed over her chest.

He withdrew his hand, and he gasped at the sight of his claws. “I'm turning into a monster!" he shouted.

Tommy and Nathan were too busy on their phones paying no interest with Todd's body horror crisis. “Nate? Tommy!? I'm not joking!" he shouted for their attention.

Nathan looked back at him apathetically. “I know, I heard…" he said before he looked at his phone again hoping that someone would reply back to his text message.

“Just shut up! You're being a big baby" Phoebe remarked.

“Yea, you aren't even turning that much. Try growing a tail"

“Come on Tommy, you haven't even grown a tail yet!" Phoebe told him.

“He did that night" Nathan added.

“It hurts so bad!" Todd exclaimed.

Meanwhile at Clare's mansion, Clare looked up at Sasha amused. “So Little Red…have you been making tuna fish sandwiches with big bad?" she asked.

Some of her friends snickered, and Sasha stared at her confused. “What?" she asked.

Toby looked towards Sasha and blushed as Zoe leaned over. “You know what tuna means don't you?" she asked.

Sasha's face went red. “Um, I…I…" she said mortified.

Toby smirked before he pulled Sasha into his shoulder. “Hey, I prefer milkbones myself" he said before Zoe started snickering. Sasha looked towards them nervously as they stared at him confused, but she shivered and moaned to him nibbling into her neck.

Zoe pointed to her breasts. “Milk…" she explained before they all laughed at her explanation. “Anyway, I prefer eating a meatball footlong myself" she joked.

Percy watched nervously as Toby continued nibbling into Sasha's neck. “Hey, quit it! Your going to leave a mark!" she told him as she pushed against his chest while giggling to herself.

Zoe nudged Percy asking him, “Hey you alright?"

Percy continued to stare. “Yea…I'm just…not used to seeing someone enjoy getting their neck being gnawed on by a giant werewolf" he told her.

“Yea, well…that giant werewolf has a lot of experience with his fangs" She told him before her phone and Toby's began to vibrate. She jumped as she dug into her breast plate to see that her brother sent her a text message.

“I think Todd is wolfing out" —Tommy 21:25

Zoe and Toby immediately jumped out of their seat, and Toby leaned in behind Sasha showing her the text. Sasha sprang up shouting, “We'll be back!"

Sasha shouted as they rushed out of the mansion. Toby's phone vibrated as they headed down the trail. “We're at the park" —Tommy 21:26

“Great, their just at the end of the trail! I'll go ahead. You just keep Sasha safe!"

Something about this got Sasha really annoyed, but it was more to herself. She could not go as fast as they could, and she knew she would slow them down. “Just go on without me!"

“I'm not leaving you" Toby refused.

“I'll catch up with you"

“Why? So, Olivia can jump you?"

“See, this is why I want you to turn me"

“I know"

They later found Zoe under the sheltered picnic area where Todd hid under a table. Nathan and Tommy looked over at them and waved. Toby escorted Sasha over, which Todd stared at Sasha worried. “Sasha…I'm…I'm at" He said.

Toby rolled his eye. “Just relax…It's not the end of the world" He said.

Sasha kneeled down smiling at Todd before she looked towards Toby curiously. “He's kinda cute"

“I am not! I'm a monster!" Todd raised his voice.

Toby looked at him slightly annoyed. “Todd, I won't lie to you, but…you say that again to me, and I'm going to sla…" He said before Sasha covered his mouth.

“Todd…you look attractive…I mean there will be a lot of females that will be all over you" Sasha said.

Phoebe coughed. “Too whiny"

“I'm not whiny!"

Zoe got onto her knees, and she looked into Todd's eyes carefully. “You kind of are whiny. That's something only pups do. No shewolf wants to dating a pup…I don't think even any human would, nuff said" she said.

Todd gulped as he touched his arm before he jerked his hand back. “What am I going to do with this?" He shrieked.

“Todd just shut up…Look around you. We've all been able to live with being wolf with no problem. You should feel blessed to have these powers" Toby grumbled.

“Yea Todd, I think you are being a little dramatic here" Sasha said as she patted Toby's shoulder before she rubbed his chest vigorously. “These are good werewolves, Todd" she said calmly before she leaned into Toby. “I've knew Toby was one for as long as we've been together" she said.

Toby wrapped an arm around her staring him down. She rolled her eyes and nudged Toby trying to get him to knock off his assertion of dominance. Todd did not understand, and he whimpered in submission. The freezing wind blew across the field causing her to shiver and use Toby as a shield. She sighed happily putting her hands up under his shirt against him. “You're really really warm tonight" she said lowly as corrupt thoughts ran through her head.

He chuckled to himself. “Nah, you're just really really cold" he told her before his back arched away from her as her hands drifted farther up his back. “Stop! Your hands are so cold!".

She giggled. “I know…how about you warm me up, big bad" she said amorously, which he returned with a seductive growl.

Todd stared at them confused and whimpered. “I'm so scared…what happens during the full moons?" He asked.

“Hey! How about we have a full moon party! Ya…plenty of food and we'll have a place for you to crash" Nathan shouted.

“On a school night?" Tommy muttered.

Toby sighed. “We'll figure something out" he said before Sasha nodded before she looked up at him affectionately.

“You think he'll be alright then?" she asked.

Toby nodded. “Yea, he'll be fine…" he said before he cleared his throat. “And try to hold back on the chocolate, okay Todd?" he lectured him.

Nathan laughed. “He threw up on those pumpkin smashers!" he said.

They all laughed as Todd climbed out from under the picnic table. “Now just eat a couple of pieces of chocolate here and there, don't eat the whole bag" Sasha told him before she looked towards Toby. “Let's head back to the party" she said.

“But what about me? What if someone sees me?"

“Dude, It's Halloween, Nuff Said" Zoe said before she walked off.

Sasha ruffled Todd's head. “Have fun" she said cheerfully. She walked back up the trail, while happily huddled up underneath the wing of her large and very warm werewolf lover.

Todd watched on feeling an overwhelming good fortune to be a part of a very supportive werewolf community, and the monster he feared most of taking his sister way was going to help him be a proper monster. He was almost embarrassed to have reacted the way he did around them. He looked towards his new friends. “So what do we do now?" he asked.

Nathan snickered. “Time for a second candy run" he said as he walked off.

Todd frowned. “What do you mean?" he asked.

Tommy grinned back evilly. “You just got a new costume, don't you?" he replied.

Todd looked shocked before a devious smirk crept upon his wolfboy lips. “You're a genius!" he shouted as he picked up his bag of candy.

“Idiots!" Phoebe mumbled. “You know we need to swap bags and those clothes" she corrected them.

“Follow me!" Nathan shouted.

He ran off with Tommy and Phoebe. “Hey! Slow down!" Todd shouted as he took off after them.

“Why! Are you going to throw up on more people?" Nathan shouted back. Tommy teased him making an exaggerated sound of someone vomiting.

Todd snarled at him. “No! That was an accident!" he shouted.

They ran past dozens of children. “Hey watch it!" The parents shouted before their annoyed glares turned to bewildered stares. “What the heck?" they mumbled.

As Nathan got home, his father was dressed up as a wolfcop, and he stared at Todd before he held his hand up to plug his nose. “Oh man, did he eat too much chocolate or something? Go rinse your mouth out or something! You reek of vomit and tears" he shouted.

Yvonne popped out of the kitchen dressed as a werewolf waitress. She snickered at her husband's reaction before she beckoned Todd. “Come here" she said.

Todd shyly wondered into the kitchen as Yvonne handed him a juice pouch. Nathan wondered in with his friends, and she gave them one also. They both sat down at the table in the dining before Nathan smirked. “So, mom…since Todd threw up all his candy…can we change and go again?" he asked.

His mother scowled at him. “That didn't stop you before. Why do you ask me now?" she said as she placed a hand on her hip. She looked towards Todd worried. “Though, I think Nate's other costume will fit you…let me go look for it, for a second" she said before she wondered off.

Bernie came into the dining room to crack open the sliding glass door. “Jeez, you really know how to stink up the whole house!" he griped. He looked around for more candy as his youngest ran around the house with a fox costume.

“Yum! Yum!" he begged grabbing at his father's pant leg.

Bernie looked down at his pup before he ripped open a green laffy taffy packet and handed it off to him. The pup plopped it into his mouth ran off through the house holding up the candy wrapper triumphantly.

Yvonne came back downstairs with Ulf. “Ulf will go with you" she said as she handed Todd a Wolverine costume.

Nathan frowned. “Aw! But why!? He's not even dressed up!" he protested.

Ulf scowled at him. “Got a problem with it?" he spoke in a very intimidating tone.

Nathan shivered and shook his head quickly. “N-n-no!"

He glanced over at Todd and smirked. “Just as a bit of warning. I am one of the most elite Gammas. I enforce our customs and anyone who breaks them. I will get the pleasure in interrogating them" he said before he went back to the closet and pulled out a cloak and mask. “I play the part" he muttered before he transformed into his anthro form.

He put on his mask which looked much more unnerving than his natural werewolf features. The mask was black and had real fangs. His seemingly glowing yellow eyes stared at them through the eye holes. “Isn't that his torturer costume?" Tommy asked.

“It's my interrogation costume" Ulf corrected them.

“What's the difference?" Todd asked.

“There is no difference…" Bernie said before he glanced over at Ulf intensely. “Why are you wearing it when you're off duty?"

“Wasn't it you the Alpha that assigned me to escort them?" Ulf muttered.

“It was I your father who has asked you keep your brother and his friends out of trouble. Don't try to use my mind tricks against me pup!" Bernie snorted.

“It's Halloween, Bernie" Yvonne spoke up.

“Fine" Bernie grumped.

Yvonne ushered Todd into another room to get dressed in another costume. Bernie walked passed Ulf and rolled his eyes before he sat down on the couch to watch the news, which they were talking about the big rivalry game, and his daughter's school being ranked number one in the nation. He smirked triumphantly proud of his daughter being number one in recruiting. Toby was surprisingly not even second or third but fifteenth, which this made him raise an eyebrow.

“What the hell is this? He's fifteenth overall?"

Ulf entered the room with his arms crossed. “You do remember he's been out for three weeks. Zoe's been pretty much carrying the whole team"

“I thought Toby would have stand out more"

“Well, humans have bad memory or attention spans…you remember what happened after the Orange man, right?"

“I wish I could" Bernie remarked.

“So, let me get this straight…There are no werewolves on any teams that Zoe's played against?" he asked.

Bernie grinned. “Sure, there are…but she's in a whole different league…her and Toby are" he said.

Ulf scowled. “Because they aren't worried to make a spectacle out of themselves?" he asked.

Bernie tittered. “No…our bloodline is very similar to the Wolfgang bloodline" he said before he leaned back. “Those two work well together…all the quality wolves live over here anyway. Everywhere else just has thralls and omegas" he rambled.

“So is Tigard going to put up much of a fight?" Ulf asked.

Bernie grinned. “Not a chance" he said with great confidence.

Ulf thought about it for a moment. “You don't think that other student will seek out whomever has been turning the kids, do you? After what happened during homecoming?" he muttered.

Bernie grumbled. “That's why I want the wolves in the other school to tell us if they see something"

“I doubt that will work"

“That's how we busted Ian and Amarok last time"

“Wouldn't they be more cautious?"

“The tactic is the same, they just added extra layers so they aren't directly transforming them"

“Are you sure it's them?"

“Some of the tests came back. The strains that these teens have been infected with are derived from Amarok and Steele"

“Steele? But how? Did Toby?"

“We've already ruled out Toby…The strain is crossed with Amarok and Steele. I would reckon it were from one of their surviving offspring" Bernie explained.

“Dad…isn't Steele's strain more…unstable?"

“Shouldn't be…Lilian seems to be fine"

“Does Lilian know what's in Steele's blood?"

“I'm sure she does; moreover, Steele was not at all unstable. Sure, he has his quirks, but without proper training, none of these thralls will be able to unlock any of them"

“Will Toby be able to unlock them? Without Steele…there's no one with any knowledge anywhere close"

Bernie gave him an intense look before he sighed heavily knowing that Tommy and Phoebe were listening in on them. “I see you have no faith in Jean's ability to teach"

Tommy and Phoebe both came out timidly. “Um, what is in our father's blood?"

Bernie scratched the back of his head trying to recollect specifically what the former Alpha was. “Um, asides from being a werewolf. In your blood there are Ipotane, Minotaur, and a H…" he explained before he was cut off.

“The heck is an Ipotane?" Nathan interrupted.

“Like a Minotaur, but with a horse instead"

“Why aren't we turning into any of these things?" Phoebe asked.

“The wolf is just that strong" Bernie sighed reaching over for his half bottle of beer. “Why don't you go change costumes and clean up the houses of their candy" he said before he took a swig of his beer.

“Kay!" They all shouted with excitement before they rushed into Nathan's bedroom.

After Yvonne got Todd cleaned up and given an alternate costume, he came out into the living room. Ulf looked towards him as he walked past going over to knock on the door to his brother's room. “You guys about ready yet?" he asked.

“Just hold on!" Nathan shouted as he was putting on a werewolf street fighter costume.

Yvonne walked downstairs with Todd, which she smiled at them. “Why don't you guys get going before all the candy is gone" she told them before she sat down on the couch beside her husband. “Ulf?" she called. He looked up at her as she smiled gratefully. “Thank you for helping out" she said. Ulf smiled faintly, and he followed the group of wolf children Steele to bed" she said seductively as she ran her sharp claw up his throat.

Bernie smirked and jumped out switching off the lights as his wife pulled out can of whipped cream and cherries. “I hope you saved room for dessert" she said with an enthralling wink.

Bernie chuckled. “Mmmm…more than enough room" he said as he embraced her from behind and bit into her neck. She moaned heavily before she took his hand and dragged him off to their bedroom to mate.

It was nearly midnight once Toby and Sasha got back home. Her mother frowned not very enthusiastic about her daughter being home late, but she looked towards Toby grateful that he returned her daughter home safely. As Sasha went inside, her mother stayed outside, and she shut the door. Toby looked at her carefully as she examined him. “Just what are we going to do with my son, Mr. Wolf?" she asked.

Toby stared at her surprised. “I'm sorry?" he asked.

She crossed her arms over her chest. “I know that he transformed earlier…there's no use hiding it from me" she said. He backed up as he began to panic as she reached over to lightly pin her finger onto his chest. “No more secrets! I want to be able to trust you, Toby!" she said firmly.

She looked towards the window, which Sasha was looking out helplessly. Sasha quickly hid behind the curtain before her mother turn back to him. “I overheard your guys' skype conversation on more than one occasion…" she said lowly. She closed her eyes, and she rubbed her temple. “You have a plan, don't you?" she asked.

Toby nodded slowly before she looked towards the window seeing Sasha's eye peer out through the window. “Is Sasha one?" she asked.

He shook his head. “No, it wouldn't be the right time to do that" he said nervously.

She gritted her teeth as she looked to the ground and rubbed the side of her head due to an onset of a migraine headache. “What the hell am I going to do?" she muttered.

He gulped. “He's still Todd" he mentioned before she looked up at him annoyed.

“I know that! It's my husband I'm worried about! He's catching on" She raised her voice slightly before they were interrupted by screaming from Todd's room.

He looked at her sternly. “I'm not going to allow your husband to hurt him. I know what it's like to be hated and feared by a member of my family" he said.

She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes before she brought her hand to rub the bridge of her nose. “Thank you for your honesty" she said. She looked back at Sasha as she opened the door, and she smiled. “I'll allow you to go with him on that trip, okay?" she said.

Sasha stood beside her boyfriend and held onto his hand smiling from ear to ear at her mother's acceptance to his identity. “Really? But what about what Eric said?" she asked.

Her mother nodded smiling at how happy her daughter was. “Yea, I think that it will do Todd some good to go with you" she said.

Sasha nodded as looked up at him with pride. “He's great with the werewolf pups" she said before they heard her father scream inside the house.

“What the hell is this!?"

Toby immediately barged into the house, and Sasha followed him upstairs to Todd's room, which Todd was breathing heavily sweating profusely. He grunted and wheezed. He rolled to his side and made strange canine-like moans. Toby looked at Sasha and her mother and pushed them back. “Give him some room" He said.

Todd was starting his shift from his human form as Toby approached slowly. Makita whimpered as she watched from a distance, while Todd rolled around grabbing his stomach in pain. His mouth foamed, and his body stiffened up.

“Relax, Todd! You're making it worse" Toby yelled before he frowned saddened. “Just stop resisting it" he said lowly. He looked towards Sasha's mother, and her horrified expression as her son gasped for breath as he turned into his anthro form.

Todd watched in horror as his body spouted even more fur than before and his fingers swell up forming calluses. “Please help me!..." Todd yelled.

“You'll be fine" Toby said caught off guard with the progression.

“What's going on in here!?" Eric yelled, which he looked at Todd's disfigured face, and he gasped.

Toby slammed the door in his face with a horse kick. “Talk later?" he shouted. He looked back and saw Todd already had lupine ears and a tail. He crossed his arms over his chest and sighed leaning back against the door preventing Eric from going inside farther.

“Is that…Therian form?" Sasha asked.

“Yeah"

Todd growled at Toby, which Toby stared him down dominantly and growled back instinctively; however, this time it was much more frightening than Todd's. He jumped through the screen of the opened window, and he ran off briskly.

“Shit!" Toby muttered as he ran towards the window. The bedroom door flew open, and he looked back at them next to the hole in the screen. “Uh, Sasha…your brother is loose" he said nervously.

“Holy smokes, well that's not good" She said as looked to see her father's jaw drop. She pulled out her phone and sent a text message. “I just told Zoe" she said.

Toby looked at Eric a moment and gulped. “Welp…looks like I should go fetch Todd before he hurt's himself…or someone…" He said climbing up and jumping out the window. Toby transformed as he landed from the second story window. He ran off to find Todd, and Eric's head popped out to see Toby jump the neighbor's fence and vanish into the night.

Toby ran down the railroad tracks at incredible speeds following Todd's scent. “Damn how far did he get, that pup must have really gotten spooked" He muttered. He frowned as he ran faster down the track. "Fuck, I hope he's alright" he muttered.

Fifteen minutes later as he was going through the abandoned substation, he pulled out his phone after it started vibrating. “Got his scent in Wilsonville" —Ulf 0:15

He darted off down the tracks and blew right through a railroad crossing causing the cars to slam on their breaks causing some to rear-end each other.

"Damn" Toby muttered as he stuffed his phone into his pocket. He stopped at a marshland and looked around taking in the scents.

His phone chimed, and he pulled it out to read, “I've got him cut off! Grahams Ferry going towards river" —Ulf 0:20.

He ran faster down the tracks, and he made it to a giant railroad truss that spanned the Willamette River and looked around. He slid down the embankment panting heavily out of habit before he leaned in and his tongue lapped at the water.

He whipped his chin, and he heard some steps approaching. “You seriously aren't drinking that water, are you?" Ulf asked.

Toby glared at him. “I was thirsty!" he shouted.

“Do you know how much fertilizer and pesticides are in that water?" Ulf lectured as Toby climbed up. “There's like a water fountain right over there!" he said pointing over to the park on the other side of the tracks.

Toby scowled at him as Ulf laughed. “This isn't the mountain boy"

“Where's Zoe?"

Ulf pointed across the river then walked farther into the park. “You certainly have a way with dealing with Thralls. All you have to do is stare at'em and they'll run with their tail between their legs…" He said.

Toby rolled his eyes. “Gee, thanks Ulf" Toby said sarcastically.

“Come on, it's hilarious to see a Therian run from a human" Ulf said transforming into his anthro form.

“Eric saw him…"

“He would have eventually"

“Yea? How in the hell did he turn therian? Don't thralls only go to anthro?"

“Usually…Goes to show how potent an Alpha's strain is"

“But at his age?"

“Didn't you just go Lycaon? Look, it happens. Flukes happen all the time"

“Still think what I did was a fluke?"

“No, but…" Ulf paused then looked back at him concerned. “I didn't think that you were in that dark a place"

Toby stared at him before they both picked up on the sounds of sobbing echoing through the trees. They both ran towards the sound; which Todd was on the playground equipment in human form crying in the fetal position. Toby and Ulf both reverted to their human forms, and Toby kneeled in front of Todd resting a firm hand onto the boy's shoulder. “Todd…" He said calmly. He frowned seeing how the dread and helplessness Todd was.

Todd looked at Toby sniffling and then back at the ground again. “Toby…I'm so scared" he said.

Ulf scanned the area then pulled out his phone and hit some buttons before he walked off. “We got him" he said softly before he looked back at them.

"Look, I know that everything seems like it's falling apart around you, but everything is going to be okay, don't think this is going to screw up your life at all" he said.

Todd whimpered. “Where am I, Toby?" He asked.

“Well, I guess somewhere in Wilsonville…You know you sure gave me some good exercise though" Toby said calmly.

Todd gasped. “What happened to Sasha? Is…she okay? Did I eat her?" He asked.

“Yea, she's fine" he said before he made a face. “Hey, since you are as so young there is a better chance to help you with your transition without the public being at risk. Hey, there's a bright side" he said.

Todd scowled. “What do you mean a better chance?" he asked.

Toby laughed. “I won't have to lock you up in a safe room for a month" he said.

Todd looked down at the ground understanding what he meant before he frowned looking towards Ulf. “I heard you calling me a thrall…what's a thrall?" He asked.

Toby looked away hearing something off in the distance, which Ulf explained to the boy, “A thrall is a human that was turned into a werewolf. Just so you know, it's a big no-no for us to force, deceive, or manipulate someone into becoming a werewolf. What happened to you was considered a crime. I believe a thrall was what did this to you, so the one who was the source is the one to blame. You're just a child after all"

Todd frowned. “Huh? Why is it bad for you to have more werewolves?" he asked.

“Cause it a liability…When natural born wolf bites a person, and they bite some people. That werewolf has no control over themselves or even get drunk off their power. They those people bite other people, and so on…like that. It's a way for that natural born to spawn an army in a small amount of time. So much to control…so much chaos" he said.

Todd whimpered. “What's going to happen to me now? Is mom going to mad? I heard her yelling at you" he asked.

Toby smirked. “No worries, it's all good… Your mom is just worried about you, that's all" he explained before he patted Todd's shoulder. “As for what's going to happen to you. Just stay cool…we don't want you wolfing out again. Just relax and take it easy. Stressing out is not a good thing for you one bit at this point. Well figure something out to rehabilitate you" He said firmly.

Todd reverted to his original form. “Rehabilitate? Like a drug addict?"

“Rehabilitate just means that you get help adjusting with living the werewolf life"

“So, who made that thing anyway?" Todd asked.

“I don't know. I think a guy named Ian sired that werewolf. He's what we would call a werewolf criminal, and he is planning on doing something horrible very soon. I'm pretty sure these thralls are a part of his master plan. I don't know why, but he's turning people into werewolves and playing on their fear. There is no real purpose to his actions he's just a big Douche" He said.

“It's not just Ian, Toby. We'd have to take a blood sample to be sure who turned him, but…don't assume that any of the sires actually are responsible. They could be unwilling donors" Ulf corrected him.

“Donors?" Toby muttered.

“I'll explain it to you later"

“Hey! Fuzz butt!" Zoe shouted.

She ran up to them in her anthro form startling Todd before he realized who it was. “Hey, took you long enough" Toby replied back.

“Yeah, well…I had to wait for the train to go by"

“What train?"

“Let's go home…" Ulf interrupted their bickering.

“Oh, Fine" Zoe went off in a huff.
