This is his 'official ' desk where he meets people and eats lunch. Most of the time, he's down on the floor with his people. There's the private computer that is where all the unofficial activity takes place.
I'm an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau. I was in the office of my contact there- two big monitors. When I visit my IT guy, it looks like a network control room- ever flat surface or bit of wall has a monitor on it. That I find distracting.
