The Gnoll Was Hung from the Chimney with Care

Furthermore, I know some celebratory holiday is approaching where he exists, so I decide to gift this gnoll to Indagare. I find some gift ribbon in a nearby storage closet and bind the gnoll. I tie a large bow around his head and hang him from the fireplace in the front parlor. I activate the portal, attuning it to Indagare's plane, just to see if Indagare were there. He wasn't. I then write a letter of invitation to my lair, along with a portal stone which will activate the portal on his side. I quietly step through, place the invitation and stone upon a nearby table in his study, and quickly depart.
