He's still primarilly a sword fighter and doesn't actually own a fire arm, but he's also highly trained and picks up and uses what he finds. If the need arises, he can pick up a fire arm I imagine. A true warrior is versatile. We've been taught that a character must be ultra specialized to be unique, but in real combat training, you are taught to be versatile and adaptive.

To address more dirrectly what you're saying though, that's good to hear because I actually have had a few thoughts about whether or not he should use guns. Someone once gave me a littany on the impracticallity of his combat choices in a high tech world and I suppose that's always biting at the back of my head. The idea of the sword was to make him stand out though and hearing that there are people that appreciate that make me happy. I think his gun use will be very rare if at all in that case. so thank you XD

I don't know that he does hate guns. He doesn't care for them as his first choice, but he was trained to utilize what was available to him. Also, where do you get the idea that he hates and there for can't use guns?

oh you mean war? the art of fighting? many a warrior feels weary after a life time of such things. Dusk doesn't want that life, but he is drawn back into it again and again it seems XD
