Captain Washer Of The SAVANNAH
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
I can't believe I'm just getting around to posting this after four years. Stand at attention for Captain Benjamin Washer of the U.S. Navy!
Benjamin Carl Washer was born in 1914 to a wealthy upper class family in Montana. His family held a long history of service in the U.S. Navy; his father made his name keeping American shipping and troops safe durring the Spanish-American War. For Benjamin, Joining the navy wasn't even a question; it was a duty.
Benjamin Washer joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 16, but with little room for sailors out at sea, he was selected to participate in the Navy's Airship program. Durring this time, he applied his knowledge of ships to serve onboard these airships, becoming an excellent first mate in the process. After two of the navy's three giant airships of the fleet were destroyed in rough weather, the final airship was confined to a hangar to await its fate. Out of a job, Benjamin headed back to Montana, where he fell in love with a beautiful doe named Emily.
Benjamin and Emily were married in 1936, after a long courtship. After living together for three years, they decided they were ready to start a family; but it was not to be. One night while driving home, Emily was broadsided by a drunk driver and sent into a ditch; the crash killed her and her unborn child. Devastated at his loss, Benjamin went into a deep depression, finding comfort at the bottom of a bottle. He seemed destined to die a lonely drunk, but in 1942, he was approached by the secretary of the U.S. Navy, who asked him to come back to service to complete a very special mission for the navy. With nothing left to lose, Benjamin accepted.
Upon his return to service, Benjamin was promoted to the rank of captain and put in command of the navy's only remaining airship, the U.S.S. Savannah. I'm afraid I cannot go into the details of his mission, but the fate of the free world lies in his hands, and Captain Benjamin Washer will do everything in his power to ensure that the Axis will not get the chance to use what everyone is looking for.
