I asked if we could have folders like the IB one's, you know when the submission shows up in both the folder and the main gallery unlike on SF where you have to choose.
The two main advantages to that setup is you get to keep the submission in your main gallery after you've placed it in a folder therefor increasing the chance of someone seeing it, the other advantage is you can upload the same submission to multiple folders.
For example if you make a picture of two male dogs humping and have folder marked "Gay" and another marked "Canines" you would have to choose which folder to place it in and no matter what it would disappear from the main gallery and only show in the folder you picked.
On IB their folder system is so much more advance, the submission always shows up in the main gallery no matter how many folders you add it to and it also has the option to upload the submission to more then one folder.
That's the kind of system SF needs, because who bothers to look through folders? I don't.
So pretty much the same thing you suggested.
The only difference is I asked if the submission could remain in the gallery after it was added to a folder.
I know Toumal says half the people want this while the other half don't, I can't understand why people only want their submissions to show up in one folder.
If was made so it still showed up in the main gallery and had the multiple folders option it would mean their work is much more likely to be seen, faved and voted on.
I know for a fact a lot of people only look at the main galleries and don't normally bother with folders, I don't.
And lets face InkBunny with its better folders and better search is much more popular then Sofurry, or it could be down to the fact IB doesn't screw around with their site redesigning it every two years and upsetting the members?
