I nod and I say "Ebu0, kousx mo nxuk A doot ke bden." with a light smile.

MindWave grabs some flint and stone, he says "Ke mubo kxo rcuto, no vahjk doot ke jxulo u jkedo tend nakx kxo jxuhf otwo ev kxo vcadk r0 cawxkc0 sxaffadw ak unu0. Rik ro suhovic udt boof u jkout0 xudt eh kxo vcadk nacc jxukkoh.", he starts chipping at the stone and he says "Walo ak u kh0." as he shows his quick work to me.

I grab the materials that MindWave did, I align the sharp edge of the flint and start chipping at the edge.

MindWave says "Huajo kxo udwco u cakkco." as he resumes chipping his stone.

After spending about an hour slowly chipping the stone into a short double edged piece, MindWave shows me how to decide on the wood for the handle and the handle can also be bone if I wished it to and how to tell which bone was best used for it. He shows me how to make an epoxy out of resin from some burning branches, grounded up charcoal and some fluffed up fur like from a mammoth or some other mammal that lives here and we use that to seal the handle and stone blade together.

MindWave says "Loh0 weet, kxo ekxoh kne keecj no'ho weadw ke vesij ed aj u scir udt vaducc0 u ren nakx jemo uhhenj."

Making the club is a heck of a lot harder as we have to chisel with the flint and carefully burn into the wood and then we have to carefully smooth a stone before putting it in place and with a combination of epoxy and vine it secures the stone, we then give the stone an edge so that if need be it could also be used as an axe.

MindWave says "Opsoccodk, no'ho weadw ke kubo u rhoub udt kxod no'ho weadw ke mubo kxo ren dopk."

I go over to Silver and we start having some of the left over stew from last night, I look to the wolf, given that this world has mammoths I guess it has a wolf population too, but that doesn't make sense either because this wolf doesn't speak dino at all.

I lightly chuckle and I say "I don't know what to make of you Silver, if you could talk I could at least know what your thinking." with a smile.

Silver finishes his stew, he lays his head on my lap and takes a deep breath.

I start to pet him and I say "After this is over I'm bringing you back with me, I'm not sure how Fox'll feel about having you on board the ship and I may have to find a place for you to go. But I got nothing bad to say about you boy."

Silver sits up for a moment to lick the bottom of my chin and lays back down.

I think 'This wolf is way too docile... not that I'm complaining.' with a light smile.

MindWave tells me to come back over after about twenty minutes and we start to make a bow, based on his description we're making a recurve bow of some kind and according to him this could take a couple days depending on some drying techniques used to help to dry the wood a bit and make the bow itself more stiff. We start by carefully splitting the wood in half and using some charcoal to mark the design on the wood with WaveMind giving me a hand in understanding the bows dimensions. With the base of the bow effectively put in place, MindWave begins to teach me how to build arrows, of which he decides to teach me how to build one each. The standard arrow is basically just a sharpened stick, more meant for practice but could be used on small game or hitting vital spots, the second arrow has a flint arrowhead which helps in creating a decent wound and the last arrow was a one that had light brush at the end, this one is meant for indirect fire as it's used to start fires.

MindWave leads me to a range, he hands me a bow and a quiver full of practice arrows, up ahead are various targets, MinWave readies an arrow he places it on his bow and fires after aiming for a few seconds and hits a target near dead center. He motions me to try, I ready an arrow of my own, I aim and launch the arrow, it doesn't miss but it hits the outer circle.

MindWave says "Dek rut, rik ak dootj nehb."

In space, reinforcements from Corneria are arriving, carriers and cruisers taking up key positions as a towed station is put in place. In the void Fox is flying his arwing with Falco and Slippy flying in formation with him, with Krystal, Miyu, Katt and Fay running ground support operations on the worlds surface and Slippy and Rob are working the Great Fox.

Falco says "This is so boring! When are we going to see some action!"

Slippy says "I'm with Falco, we should be down their providing assistance too."

Fox says "The humans aren't that well adapted to space combat and their pilots have no experience, they need some aces in their midst."

Falco sees a flash from Sauria and he says "Incoming!"

A beam comes and barely misses their formation, striking one of the human carriers and blowing it in half.

Fox says "Rob! What was that!?"

Rob looks at the data and he says "A ground based orbital laser."

Another laser comes and strikes a cornerian cruiser, hitting it's power core and it explodes.

Fox opens a comm and he says "Krystal, the enemy is firing a laser from the ground and it's really tearing into the fleet."

Krystal and her squadron are racing to the front, the blue vixen replies "Affirmative Fox, we see the weapon up ahead."

In the mountains near the central defense line a massive laser turret is on top of one of the mountains as rubble still falls off of it, the turret swings around and fires.

Krystal thinks 'Where did they get something like that?', she arms her bomb launcher and she says "Ladies, we need to bring that laser down! We're going to throw a salvo at them with our launchers!"

The laser turret turns slightly, it's barrel moves and fires, Sharp Claw fighters and interceptors launch from their hangers as anti-air guns reveal themselves.

Miyu says "I thought those bombardments hit them hard enough to not effectively counter us?" stunned at the sight.

Krystal says "The humans weren't using guided munitions, their big cannons may be imposing to look at, but they are analog weapons with poor accuracy."

Katt says "Their designs are too inefficient!" as she shoots down an enemy fighter.

Fay says "But hey, more fun for us!" with a smile as she begins to chase after a few interceptors.

Krystal says "Fay and Katt keep those fighters off of us, Miyu you and I are going to strike that cannon!"

Fay and Katt completely split off as Krystal and Miyu lower their craft closer to the ground, the anti-air auto-cannons quickly try to aim their guns but they don't have a chance to shoot as the craft fly by at blinding speed, a rocket battery fires it's fifty rockets in rapid succession, the rockets screaming as they soar. The ladies break away from the sheer volume of fire as machine guns open up, Krystal's craft gets peppered from the bottom but the bullets are too weak to punch through the armor effectively. A squadron of fighters come from behind the massive laser cannon, primitive laser fire comes from their wings, Krystal and Katt evade the slow weapons fire while open up with return fire, striking two of the five ships and they crash into the hard rock as they fly by. The two ladies zoom above the mighty turret and fire their bomb launchers, one bomb hits the rear of the turret while the other destroys what looks like an exhaust port, the laser tilsts up and fires, causing the turret itself to explode but the laser still reaches it's target.

Krystal says "Fox, the laser has been taken out. How bad is it up there?"

The sight in front of Fox is horrific, the only cornerian lose was a cruiser, but the humans lost multiple ships, two carriers and their unnamed battleship, but what's worse is that debris and even munitions has struck multiple ships and damaging a great number of them with a few being evacuated.

Fox says "It's a nightmare up here, that laser has crippled the entire flotilla, not through direct fire but it's caused a large debris field, undetonated bombs, torpedoes and mines are all over the place, it's going to take time to clean up, so deployments are going to be hindered."

Krystal's voice comes through "Rob, what kind of laser was that? I've never seen anything like it."

Fox says "I agree, that laser negated the effects of polorised hull armor with ease and destroyed capital ships as if they were nothing."

Rob looks over the data in front of him and he says "The weapon doesn't match any known weaponry in the archives and after compiling reports of salvaged Sharp Claw materials, they are unable to produce such a weapon."

The news is heard by all the Star Fox members who can hear it, the sheer terror that something is supplying the Sharp Claw with such a weapon system is insane.

Fox says "Report this to Pepper and the U.C.R.'s high command, if the Sharp Claw are receiving ground-based anti-capital ship weaponry from an unknown source then everyone needs to keep an eye out."

Rob says "Affirmative."

Fox says "Ground-based laser cannons are nothing new, but they're used against in-atmosphere threats."

Peppy shakes his head and he says "Indeed, the laser would lose almost all of it's energy by the time it would break atmosphere and the void would finish it off. Granted ours are far smaller."

Slippy says "I can go down and check it out once we have the area is secure."

Fox says "Good idea, maybe that'll uncover what we're really dealing with."

The night has claimed the sky, MindWave is across from me as a fire burns between us, crystals and jewels are glowing from the light of the intense flame.

MindWave says "A kxadb ak'j rojk ke advehm 0ei den, xoho uk kxaj luh0 jfek aj nxoho A jun 0eih vuso, kxo jfahakj kxomjocloj jxenot mo kxuk 0ei noho ad kxo xoulodj udt kxuk 0ei dootot ke ro hout0."

I raise an eyebrow and I say "Hout0 veh nxuk?"

MindWave walks aroun the fire as he talks "Kxo jfahakiuc ojjodso kxuk 0eih badt ruho xuj nakxohot unu0, rik ak joomj veh 0ei kxoho uho shusbj kxuk seict rhadw 0eih ojjodso rusb adke fcuso. Roadw kxuk 0ei uho vhem Star Fox udt kxuk 0ei bden Fox McCloud, A khijk 0ei ucje bden kxo edo dumot Krystal?"

I say "Jxo'j m0 wahcvhaodt." blinking at him.

MindWave nods, he continues "0ei joo, Krystal adakaukot kxo jkuhk ev Sauria hokihdadw ke fouso, kxo fenohj kxuk xoh foefco ijot xocfot fik eih madtj uk oujo.", he points to where my necklace is and he says "Kxuk sxuhm, ak xuj jemo ev xoh fenoh nakxad ak. Sud 0ei fcoujo tojsharo ak?"

I say "Ak'j kxo Eye ev Horus, Krystal wulo ak ke mo. Ad m0kxecew0 ak'j u sxuhm veh fohjeduc fhekoskaed."

MindWave says "Rik kxoho aj meho ke ak, xulod'k 0ei dekasot ud0kxadw jkhudwo?" with an iquestive look.

I think 'Does he know?'

MindWave says "A vock ak, josedt jawxk sumo ke 0ei nxod 0ei dootot ak, kxo vohuc fhojjodso kxuk osxeot vhem 0ei ad 0ei muksx. Rik mejk ev ucc, kxo vusk 0ei uho jkacc ucalo."

I tense up, so he does know.

MindWave smiles and he says "You have a lot of potential."

I say "You can speak english?!" in shock, I say "If you could then why didn't you start when we first met?!"

MindWave says "Because, I was board and I wanted to have some fun." with a light chuckle.

I sigh and I say "But what do you mean I have a lot of potential?"

MindWave says "Your spirit is strong, your interactions with your charm and Krystal seems to have started a process, one that is linking you to the roots of your ancestors. You must unlock the power of this lineage."

I say "How... do I do that?"

MindWave walks to the other side of the fire, he brings over a bowl filled with some kind of fluid, it's a vibrant green and is being lit up by the light of the fire, he says "Drink this and walk the path." as he holds it out to me.

I glance to the bowl, I take it as I glance to MindWave and I say "What happens on the path?"

MindWave says "Whatever you take with you." with a stern gaze

I think 'You and Yoda would get along really well.', I take a breath and drink the bowl dry, it's kinda like a bitter berry taste and kind of thick like oatmeal, I put the bowl down and I say "Now what?"

MindWave raises his arms, the jewels suddenly ignite and he says "Now, you walk."

Bright light consumes my sight, the light fades and I'm in the middle of a forest, it looks nothing like Sauria, so I'm probably on Earth if I had to guess. I hear the howl of a wolf, a form moves from behind a tree, but it isn't a typical wolf, this one is glowing blue and it's form is made of water, it's eyes glow yellow for a moment and it begins to move away from me. I decide to follow the creature, I think that's what it wants me to do and so I do my best to catch up. I start to hear voices of people in conversation, but no one is around and I can't make out what they are saying, suddenly I hear the sounds of horse hooves thundering on the ground, galloping with the triumphant sound of yells and the clashing of weapons. From another direction I hear the rustling of drums and what sounds like musket and cannon fire and finally the sound of airplanes, machine gun fire and cries in german, english and japaness stain the air. I know some of my ancestry, but not all of it... I hear a yell right behind me. I turn to see what looks like a legionary from the Roman Empire, his armor is pristine and he has his shield at the ready, the sound of hooves comes back, I look to my right and a knight on horseback armed with a halberd, footsteps sound to my left and two soldiers in american WWII uniforms, one armed with a tommy gun and the other with a garand. I hear the wolf howl again, I turn back around to see it standing between some trees, in a flash the area changes to a beach with the wolf still standing across from me.

I say "What do you want? Where are we?"

The wolf looks towards the water, the water forms into a what looks like another forest, a wall of water quickly shoots up, a glowing dna helix appears on the wall before turning into a lite passage. The wolf runs into the passage, I follow it and I'm in another forest, something glows on my chest, it's a glowing Eye of Horus that's floating over my heart. The forest looks dense, the air is crisp and fresh, I start to advance, eager to see just where I am, the forest starts to lose it's density and I come to a clearing with quite a sight, a heard of mammoths are moving through a clearing, the water-made wolf appears in front of me and howls.

I say "Keep your voice down!"

I hear another howl but it doesn't sound like an actual canine, I glance to my left to see a primitive hunter, his form cloaked in a wolf pelt, his head adorned in a wolf skull, in his hand is a bow and a quiver is on his back, the Eye of Horus practically ignites as he steps towards me, his eyes glow a striking yellow.

I say "You must be one of my ancestors." with a light smile.

The man says "You are one of my descendants, I thought the paths between our plane and yours had been lost forever. Thank the spirits that the veil has faded."

I say "A lot has happened since your time and I have so many questions I'd like to ask."

The man says "Time is one thing we do not have, you'll wake soon and we must be quick."

I say "I thought spirit quests were to take time?"

The man says "Adam..." which catches me off guard, "Your inquisitiveness has always been your strength, but I feel it maybe best for you to learn over time in your dreams, now that your spirit has been unlocked it is possible. But I can at least grant you the gift that our tribe has and what we bring to bare to aid us in our hunts."

I say "Which is?"

The man says "Vision, but not as you understand it. Spirit vision is a technique we have learned, our totem blessed us with it."

I say "And our totem is the wolf?"

The man nods and he says "Yes, the wolf has been our companion and guide." as the water wolf gets between us, it changes into a mirror.

I look at my reflection, my eyes for a moment glow blue and dark blue fields emerge around my eyes, trail along the sides of head, then neck and finally go down my back, the mirror showing me the process.

The man says "I am Alcadeias and I shall watch from beyond."

I say "We have watched and we have waited. Now we act!"

Alcadeias says "Wise words, with Earth gone it is likely that you'll be the last our blood and the last to have our gift."

I think and I say "That may be the case, but I"ll show them my true strength."

Alcadeias says "Remember this fine detail, call upon us and we'll aid you. And you never know, something may just be a guise." with a chuckle and I can imagine the smile under that skull, he says "Farewell Adam, may the spirits guide you and who knows maybe you and the fox may have some kits."

I blush but before I can say anything everything goes to black, my eyes open once more and I'm back with MindWave.

MindWave says "Well?"

I say "I am not sure what happened."

The sound of what seems to be an alarm sounds, MindWave and I run to see the village and we see the Sharp Claw advancing.

I look to MindWave and I say "I need my sword!"

MindWave nods and we start to run, I grab my vibrosword and I start to run towards the front.

I charge as I yell "FOR THE FALLEN!"

The first Sharp Claw raises a shield but my sword cleaves through it with ease, I impale him and kick him away, a few Sharp Claw look my way, I close my eyes as I focus, I open them and the Sharp Claw are all highlighted, even their shields and other cover offer no protection from my sight. They all charge me at once, I leap to my left, the one closest to me swings his axe, I come underneath him and I deliver a quick swing, he goes limp but another one smashes him to the side with a two-handed hammer and the other swings what looks like just a cannonball at the end of a hefty chain.

I yell "JXEN MO 0EIH VIH0!" as I aim my sword at them.

The two dinos look surprised for a moment, I hear heavy foot steps behind them, I quickly turn around and dodge at the same time as a large armored dino with a halberd thrusts forwards, I swing my sword which goes through it's haft, he ditches the ruined weapon and pulls out a sword. I charge him, our blades swing and glance off each other, he roars and lunges, our swords meet once more, I put some force into my sword, my sword cuts into his which earns his attention and with a growl I force myself forwards, my blade cuts through his and cleaves through his flesh. He stares me down and looks like he's ready to pounce, suddenly something strikes him, it's that ball and chain, I look and I see the two dinos from before rush to my side, I smile and we charge into the enemy ranks. Thankfully the Sharp Claw don't have any firearms or vehicles and we soon have our victory, however small it may be, the LightFoot dinos and their use bows prove to be amazing.

In total 28 Sharp Claw joined in our defense, I guess my display spoke to them in a way... I think we can use that to our advantage and get even more under our banner. But something also catches my attention, their speaking in a mix of dino and english so I think communication isn't going to be a problem.

MindWave says "These Sharp Claw respect your strength, combine that with their eagerness to end the war..."

I say "Then we have our reinforcements." with a light smile.

Chief Lightfoot says "I see, you have a plan."

I say "More then that.", I stand on top of a platform, earning everyones attention with the Sharp Claw standing in front of me. I say "This war has already taken it's toll on all sides in such a short span of time, today marks the turning point and we shall launch our own counter operations against Scales.", I raise my sword and I say "Follow me and this war will end and the Sharp Claw can continue with some form of dignity, your tribe has shown me it's strength, let's apply it in ending this madness!"

The Sharp Claw raise their weapons and cheer, those of the LightFoot join in as well. My gaze go towards the mountains, if Scales is anywhere, he'll be there.

It's been a week since the invasion force made planetfall, both sides are in a deadlock with the mountains acting as inter-locking fortresses and despite the constant bombardments from the human forces, the Sharp Claw haven't surrendered, if anything their ferocity has become far more pronounced. Several attempts to try to contact Adam have failed due to the sheer anti-aircraft fire and patrols under the banner of the Sharp Claw, though Krystal can still feel his presence. The U.C.R. is finally ready to deploy it's newest model of tank that had actually been a work in progress for nearly eight months much to the surprise of everyone, the new operation designated Thundercracker will be the deciding factor if the humans can finally break the stalemate.

The members of Star Fox are on the bridge, more ships have arrived with fresh troops and material, in front of them is the super-heavy tank on the virtual display, the HSHT-1 Maus with it's mighty railgun a very distinctive feature.

Fox says "The humans are getting desperate I guess, but I'll give them credit, this thing looks like a real beast."

Rob says "It's full designation is the Human Super Heavy Tank-1 Maus and is designed for dealing heavy fortifications and heavy vehicles."

Peppy says "And all 20 of them are ready for action."

Miyu says "Why only twenty?" with a raised eyebrow.

Peppy says "That's how many railguns were available to be fielded."

Fox sighs and he says "Either way, this operation is going to be an en mass assault and we're going to be part of the opening wave and have to stick around for the whole operation for air support."

Krystal says "The Sharp Claw are going to throw everything at us, but it shouldn't be a problem."

Fay says "Don't jinx us." with a wink.

Fox says "We have two hours to prepare and the offensive will start at 06:00 hours. If this works then it's likely this war will be over before any more massive damage can be done to either side."

I'm in a hut with a mirror in front of me, my bow and arrows are finished and in front of me is some paint, I paint blue around my eyes and follow the same pattern as the markings did back when I was on my 'spirit quest', I look at my Eye of Horus and I decide to take it a step further. I takes some black paint and carefully paint the Eye of Horus using my left eye as a templet and I mirror it and do the same to my right eye which in turn is the Eye of Ra. I look at myself in the mirror as I put my gear on, leather armor adorns my torso with my necklace over it, I leave the hut and look at the forces under my command. The 28 Sharp Claw has swelled to around 91, thanks to the raids we've conducting over the past few days and the duels I've won.

I start to walk towards my small army and MindWave starts to walk beside me as he says "Our archers are ready to help."

I say "Good, this is going to require them."

MindWave says "So what's the full plan?"

I say "If we sneak around the mountains and start hitting the rear, it should faulter the enemy enough to where the U.C.R. can break through. Once that is accomplished we can take down Scales."

MindWave says "Our supplies are ready for such a task, but we can forage if need be."

I smile as I say "Then we head out in ten minutes."

MindWave looks to my eyes and he says "I am curious though, what do those eyes mean exactly?"

I say "The eye on the left is the Eye of Horus, the same symbol as my necklace. It represents well-being, healing and protection."

MindWave says "And the right?"

I say "It's the Eye of Ra, it represents power and vision."

MindWave smiles, he says "You humans are an interesting bunch."

I chuckle and I say "I can say the same about you."
