i must say, this is a masterpiece all in itself! very impressive and detailed! it's actually very close to the muscle system you'd find in a real body, with a few changes of course for mechanical parts. i can see that it's designed the way it is for a reason and i can only see one possible design flaw but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you did that for a reason too.
if you can't tell by now i study anatomy and i'm a nerd for it!
the synthetic deltoid would attach to the metal joint directly whereas the neck muscle would attached to the clavicle area thus bypassing extra layers of muscle and allowing a better degree of movement at a lower energy consumption rate....
haha! sorry, my techno babble is acting up again! point is, it's only a mistake if you view it as black and white, but i see it as an accidental stroke of genius. all in all i love the way you made this piece and it's definitely one i'll be revisiting! i've been staring at it for a while now actually....
I spend a fair amount of scribbling time to working on my android anatomy, it's mainly conceptual and me fartassing about with it, but sometimes (like this piece) I end up liking the image/design so much I'll post it. Thanks a heap for bringing your expertise in and giving me something to think about! :D
and so long as you like it and you're satisfied with it that's what matters! so long as you feel good about it then that's all you have to worry about! :)
