“I’m surprised they’re allowed to sell beer,” the mink said.
Fred sighed. “Here we go . . . “
“What do you mean by that?” I asked.
“I’d heard they lost their opener,” Michael deadpanned.
The dog rolled his eyes. “Two hundred seventeen alternities we’ve gone to that have post-ball or similar, and he always makes that joke.”
“Two hundred nineteen,” Michael amended.
“Huh? Oh. Yeah, I always forget about those two.”
