Storm Front

This is a shelf cloud! Usually has nasty winds with it, and this one was no exception. Actually had a few weak tornadoes spawn off the front of this baby. Took this about 6 years ago in Illinois. ^..^

Wow Stunning Shelf Cloud! Love this! Thats true, Shelf Clouds sometimes produce weak short lived Tornadoes! Also Wall Clouds can form, just behind under the Shelf Cloud, tornadoes from them can be longer lived and even reach Strong to Violent F Scale Category, as was the Case of Our Storms, on 10.September.2019, we had hit Sioux Falls, South Dakota Three Strong F2 borderline F3 Tornadoes in a single night, extensive Damage. I was in my Garage as they hit my home and Garage, directly, but no damage to my home or Garage a real miracle, Inside my garage I rode them out, all three. It lasted over 10 mins of terror.
