Yeah I really don't know what's up. Maybe March is just a bad time for comments/feedback? Maybe FA kind of has an established hierarchy of popular artists and it can't be broken for reasons unknown to me? Furry scholars can only extrapolate.

But yes I have had an incredible welcome to SF, I am beyond surprised at the amount of feedback I've gotten so quickly. It's like a fresh start!

Hooray! Good to hear! One thing I like about SoFurry is that there are also tons of User-Created groups here. I realize FA has those too, but on SoFurry it's very easy to add your submissions into as many groups as you want, once you've joined them. Once you put that submission into a group, not only is it displayed on the front page and the browse art page till it's pushed off by new submissions, but it also shows up on the Group Page for every group you add it too. So anytime folks go check their favorite groups, there's your picture showing up in the group art section. Helps keep new submissions in front of viewers and readers for a lot longer, plus obviously you've added it to relevant groups so anyone who sees it will be interested.

FA just seems...harder to break into. I think because it's so massive, and stuff vanishes so quickly after being posted. And like you said there are SO many great and established artists there that lots of people probably don't pay attention to those they don't know as well.

Nope, groups is actually seperate from Tags. Tags help people search for something specific, groups are specific..well...groups that you can join or add submissions too. To start with, you have to join groups, though. If you go to the top left, where "Browse" is, you'll find Groups just to the right of "Market". Click it, search around, find some groups you like, and join them. Then return to your submissions, click "Groups", its in the same area as Fav/Watch etc. Then you can choose to add a submission to any of the group's you have joined.

Used to be, only the one who posted the submission could add it to groups, but I think anyone can now. If you'd like I can add this picture to a few groups as an example until you get the hang of doing so yourself.
