Fanart: The Mountainsong
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
"The alpenglow on snowy peaks calls forth where I belong,
I lend an ear, the granite speaks! I hear the mountain song."
This is a little piece of fanart I did, illustrating my favorite scene from the book "Wolf of Withervale", written by Joaquin Baldwin. It released just today and you can check it out here on his website: joaquinbaldwin.com. It's a truly wonderful novel, that I really enjoyed reading. :3
I actually was lucky enough to get an early e-book copy and I quickly fell in love with the story and the characters. As the adventure unfolded and the first furry character reared his head, I contemplated what scene I would consider drawing fanart of...and then this particuly scene hit me and I immediately knew how to illustrate it. The book has more heartwarming moments like this, but also features adventure, hardship and a truly inspired world in which it all takes place. If you like fantasy novels and this sounds at all interesting to you, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. :3
Enjoy!
