I did the same thing. Wrote a list of all the most important qualities I had for a partner. Few months later, I met him in a furry yiff chat room, moved in 6 months later, and 10 years and 2 kids later we are still madly in love. He ticked every single box, and he looks like no one I had envisioned, and now I can't envision my life without him and anyone who looks like him instantly makes me hot. Dunno if it works, there were other exercises I was working on following the law of attraction, but I like to think so. Keep your mind, and your heart, open.
