When I was a strapping young laddie Wielder I thought something was calling me to this patch of woods down the road near the river. This was all in my head of course, but it creeped me out. I told me to go down into the woods there at midnight, and I almost went, but I chickened the fuck out.
As I said it was all in my head but the incident has served as a lot of inspiration over the years. What was it? What did it want with me?
The murry purry answer is of course a beefy sexy werewolf summoning a worthy companion to pass on his beefy werewolf-ey hotness. Were that the case the werewolf in question would have prooooobably found me less than worthy at the time.

It was a man. A wolf. And it was twice as tall as he.
The young man felt a rush in his being as he watched the werewolf lift its great, sinewy arms and fold them across its chest, brandishing claws of terrifying length. Yellow eyes bore down, surveying the human with a calculated discretion that penetrated him like hot knives. The creature was sizing him up, but not as prey or trespasser. This being seemed to work on a higher level, carrying about it a reservation and intellect more deserving of a brutish master than a hungry beast. By the way its eyes narrowed and its lips curled ever so slightly, the young man could tell what the werewolf saw before it was,
"Disappointing."
