Rehabilitation and Introspection
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Don Polaraski was a key figure in Dawn Bellwether's rehabilitation. If it wasn't for his efforts to protect her during her stay at Alpine Crag Correctional, she most likely wouldn't have survived. The ex-detective turned prison guard is a fearsome looking figure, with the scars of various scuffles tattoo'ed all over his body. But despite his looks he's a soft hearted mammal who tries to see the potential good in everyone. In retrospect I feel rather bad about how things played out in the story for him, but some times terrible things happen to good mammals.
Dr. Atticus Gnu was another key player in Dawn's recovery. The Water buffalo helped Dawn come to terms with what she had done, and to get passed it. The doctor has been a tireless supporter of prisoner rehabilitation, and offers one day a week for free consultation and evaluation for prisoner's working to better themselves. Of course that's not say he has standard patients, one of which turns out to be Vernon's brother Wade. The good doctor is a caring mammal, who enjoys witty banter with his patients, and has a genuine interest in hearing the stories that lead to a mammal becoming who they are.
This is the last character profile sheet I'm doing. Your probably wondering where Vernon's folks and brother is, well I'll do character profiles for them when I get to 'A Lamb Among Wolves', a semi sequel that takes place between the six month period between chapter 27 and 28 of 'The Rehabilitation of Dawn Bellwether.'. That's going to have pretty much all of Vernon's Family in it.
Read the story these characters come from here.
