Taylor Girl - By Veramundis
I came across VeraMundis a long time ago and I loved his realistic style of painting. I waited a good, long year and a half before I was finally able to snag a full body slot so I could envision Taylor in his fantastic style. Unfortunately, it was also around this same time that his life seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. He produced this singular 'sketch', as he called it,' of her, but then nothing else. He finished a few other full bodies for others, but couldn't seem to get mine right. Soon real life called him away and his style changed and he wanted to practice the new style and started working on portraits. After much prodding and six months later, he stated he would be unable to finish the commission and would refund the money when he could. So, given that, I offered to let him keep a portion of it, at least for the sketch and this was what I ultimately got after two years. Kind of a rocky road of a story, but sometimes thems the breaks when you commission artists and life doesn't pan out the way it should. Still, this is a good depiction of Taylor as a schoolgirl that looks strangely Japanese in nature.
