It's actually the court hat of an Onmyoji. It's not Korean, it's the stuff of Chinese immigrants to Japan, who practiced Taoist mysticism. Thus the 'Taomon' bit.

Fascinating. I’m aware of the points you made. But I kind of always thought China and Japan hated each other even before both World Wars.

Why do you think that is?
One common claim is that Japan borrowed everything that made it great, including the figures of its written language, from China. So Japan is apparently viewed as a thieving bastard child of sorts.

There is not a single nation in east asia that doesn’t hate japan. Not only for what occurred before or during the world wars, but because they refuse to apologize for any of it. They justify and honor the deeds of war criminals, and purposely exclude war crimes in their history books.
