\n Welcome all, to get the next part you need to discuss with your fellow commenters and decide the best course for this character.
\n\n The sound of the rooster crowing wakes you, and you stir from a deep slumber. As you open your eyes, you see the inn room you are staying in, a simple bedroom with a wardrobe in one corner, and a four poster bed.You pick up the sheets as you climb out of the bed, and use them as a makeshift cover as you look out the window. Below, the world revolves in it's usual manner, lots of elves going about their business.
\n\n
\n You turn back and survey yourself in the mirror, and you see a six foot tall lithe but strong elf looking back at you. Your long hair has not been disturbed by the sleep, the ponytail was kept in place. You rub your slightly pointed ears for just a second, waking up a bit more, and you remember why you came here. You smile, keen to enjoy the day and experience the adventure of what you have planned.
\n
\n A cave in the mountain just up from the city is rumoured to have a great treasure in it, and that sounds good enough for an elf who lives on the road and picks up treasures. It is supposedly guarded by a elf known as "The Master" and is reputedly quite powerful in both strength and magic. All needs to be said is that's what they said about everyone else before, and it hadn't deterred you.
\n As you survey yourself in the mirror, there is a knock at the door, and a slim elven maid comes in, smiling at you. You catch a few glances at your upper chest, the bit not covered by the sheets, but she goes over to bed, collects the warming pan and winks at you as she walks out. You smile politely in return and decide to get dressed and get prepared for the trip up the mountain.
\n\n Decision 1:
\n\n Weapon:
\n\n Axe, Sword or Spear
\n\n Equipment: (You can carry five, but torches are standard, so only four.)
\n\n Rope (Rope is always handy)
\n\n Light armour (If you intend to be fighting a lot, it might help)
\n\n Extra oil and matches (Sensible for a cave)
\n\n Food and water (If you intend to be down there for more than a day)
\n\n Ring of guidance (This is the only magical device you have, but here's what it does. You are allowed to call me to give you the answer or right choice ONCE per week, so just imagine it's a one shot for this adventure)
\n\n Shield (See armour excuse)
\n\n Torches (Automatically chosen)
\n\n First Aid (If you are fighting then a method of healing would be.. wise)
\n\n
Weapon:
-Sword
Equipment
-Torches (light source of course)
-Oil and Matches (fire + oil = burn!)
-Rope (in case there's need to descend into a lower area or tie someone)
-Shield (armor would not defend against magic, a shield MIGHT have a higher chance againts magic)
-First Aid Kit (for eounds that will surely happen)
Why not food? well, it's a cave and there must be animals, and animals can be eaten right? they may not be very tasty but... and water, well... imagine that by yourself. *winks*
extreme times call for extreme measures.
(For shame if you don't know who Bear Grylls is)

Torch; Light armor; First Aid (If the Elf is non magical); Rations (Food and Water); and Rope.
