I agree. As a former member of the American Chinese Crested Club, and a supporter of 'Crest-Care' we've always supported rescue. Furthur, I've got a BIG issue with the AKC, who rails against 'puppy mills' but whose dog show empire is funded by issuing 'papers' with their seal to those same puppies.
Then there's the issue of that dog you're looking at. It's not their fault they were born to make money. They need homes, too, as much as one tends to get inferior dogs at inflated prices. Our healthiest, longest living Crested 'El Pelon's hint of hot Mr. Wu' was himself a pet store puppy. And if you had anything to say about it, he'd bite your ankle and shit in your shoe........
Finally, a tip of the hat to Reba, Diesel, Missy, Winston, Muffin, and Leo; it was a privilege to share your forever home.

That's why I always support adoption. Many of those dogs come from puppy mills and you can adopt them guilt-free, knowing you aren't supporting the mill and allowing them to continue their gross practices :3 There's definitely enough dogs to go around too considering horribly large amount of dogs put down every year :'(

This is true. That's why we adopted our Siamese littermates 'Brother' and Sister' from Hartford Siamese Rescue. They were 'Pet of the Week' on the Friday morning local news show. We were second in line, but since we had no other cats, and were prior Siamese people, we got the nod.

They're half relatives; like everything else, some are close, others, less so.
