Ya look like ya got a problem only a six-iron can solve...
In lieu of Red Dead Redemption 2's impending release in a couple months, I decided to make an anthro wild west bounty hunter/merc/vigilante character for the purposes of roleplay and thematic art. Yes, I intend to get [i]more[/i] art of him down the line, either when I can afford it or a friend can afford it.
Name: Virgil Wayne Cassidy
Date of Birth: April 6th, 1851
Age: 22
Species: Prongcat (Pronghorn + Bobcat Hybrid, also 1/16th whitetail deer on his father's side.)

[u][b]Biography[/b][/u]
Virgil was born to Elijah and Jane Cassidy in the spring of 1851, who at the time had just bought a choice piece of land in the untamed plains of Oklahoma to start up a cattle ranch. When he was young, Elijah taught Virgil everything he knew about foraging, hunting, breaking horses, farming and many other skills, while Jane taught him about using his agility and quiet weapons like the bow. When he was 16 Virgil was out running errands in the nearby town of Flatfield, returning to the rach with groceries only to discover it on fire, his father dead and his mother in the middle of a frenzied shootout with members of The Pack, a ruthless gang of outlaws lead by a direwolf known only ass The Alpha.
Despite trying to intervene, Jane was killed like her husband and Virgil took a whip to his left eye, which scarred him and made him blind in his left eye. When he came to he mourned amidst the smouldering ruins of the Cassidy Cattle Co. ranch, before burying his parents and riding back to flatfield with what little possesions he had left. From Flatfield he began working as a bounty hunter in the hopes of tracking down The Pack and avenging his home and parents.
[u][b]Appearance[/b][/u]
Virgil is a hybrid, Pronghorn on his father's side, bobcat on his mother's side. He's got a toned athletic build as a result of growing up on a ranch, with the fur pattern of a typical pronghorn plus the spots of a bobcat. His primary fur color is mauve, secondary fur color is blue jay and his tertiary fur color (spots) are eggplant or indigo. His face and snout favor his pronghorn father, though he did inherit his mother's whiskers. His teeth are that of an omnivore, some flat for grinding plant life and some sharp for shredding meat. His horns have been straighted and shortened to about six inches to allow him to wear his hat, his ears are the more triangular feline ears with the small tufts of fur at the tip. Adorning his head is long and messy hair, braided into a ponytail at the back. His eyes are gold and green. From his mother he interited feline slitted pupils for better vision both during the day and at night. He's blind in his left eye and has three claw marks over it beginning at his central brow and ending at his left cheek bone. Due to being 1/16th whitetail deer on his father's side he has the telltale tail of a whitetail deer instead of the practically nonexistent pronghorn tail or short rigid bobcat tail. For genitals he has plum-sized balls and a sheath with an 8x2 inch human-shaped penis with feline barbs. He has plantigrade padded feline feet.
His outfit consists of the following: A dark blue/black cowboy hat, a periwinkle button up dress shirt, a midnight blue button up cowboy vest with a matching duster coat, snug/tight-fitting navy denim jeans with a black leather belt supported by a gold-engraved belt buckle with a bark scorpion preserved in blue amber at the center. For footwear he'll wear matching leather cowboy boots. As far as underwear goes, I don't find any of the historically accurate old west underwear attractive at all, so for that I'm going anachronistic; simple men's trunks. Around his neck he'll wear a navy blue wild rag bandana. He will sometimes wear an eyepatch over his damaged eye.
His weapons and equipment include: a bowie boot knife, a Henry Repeater, dual St. Etienne Model 1873 Double-Action Service Revolvers, white gold plated with jacobean wood grips. His Henry Repeater will be made of the same materials as well. Ammo will be stored and easily accessible from his gun belt and a bandolier. He'll also carry a black leather satchel for essentials and provissions, a black leather wallet in his back pocket for cash and ID, and a lasso for capturing bounties alive.

The tragedy at his ranch left him somewhat bitter. Virgil's snarky, sarcastic and doesn't have much left to lose, so he's not afraid to get his hands dirty if he has to. He's also taken up smoking cigarettes and cigars, as well as drinking hard liquor such as whiskey and moonshine. At the end of the day his heart of gold shines through and he'll help honest folk who need it without asking for anything in return. He enjoys reading, gambling and card or board games in general, swimming, picnicing, napping in the shade, target practice and various other things.

Fantastic art drawn for basically peanuts by the talented, patient, friendly and gracious kenntalyshimaru! He's not a native english speaker so communication wasn't the easiest, and a few details were certainly lost in translation, but in fairness this character is extremely unique and my designs for him were extremely specific. Overall though, I'm still very pleased with how well this representation of Virgil has turned out, especially for the low price. Underwear and nude versions are on the way!
