[QSDP] Crouching Kitty
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
[Copied and Pasted from my FA account. Sorry for laziness :P ]
"QSDP" means "Quick Sketch Dump Project. Lovely name, isn't it :P
What does this all mean?
Years ago, back at my first job; during my breaks I would make up random sketches while killing time before I had to go back on the clock. Of course; my sketches were mainly what you would expect from someone having recently discovered the Furry/Anthro/Were fandom and getting in-touch with his inner feline. So yeah; I sketched a lot of my fursona and other creatures and characters.
The original intention from all this was I would transfer my sketches to real paper later and try to improve upon the sketch for a better revamp version for posting. I...honestly forgot about my pile of tiny sketches as I only recently discovered them hiding in one of my old backpacks I was throwing out. And BOY; do I have a lot.
SO!!!...seeing how I've had a dry spell of creativity and what not as of late, I figured I would rekindle this age-old project and revitalize my motivation to draw again. For the next few new pics I'll be posting Compare/Contrast type pieces to show the differences between my old Quick sketch dump drawings and the newer revamp versions.
To start off the project; here we have me/Tabby/random young kitty guy in a crouching position. Why??? ....beats me. Guess I was trying to practice poses at the time.
My Personal Critic Moment: While I do believe I've made some decent improvements from the sketch, it burned me that I couldn't do a better job with the anatomy around the lower waist to legs. I just couldn't figure out how to make the legs look less funky kneeling like that. Crouching/kneeling poses will have to be something I'll have to work on in the future.
What do you think? Doth revamp image show improved quality over yonder green sheet of yore? *what the hell kind of speech I'm I doing LOL* Give me a comment below and let me know what you think. If you got any advice, or perhaps can link me any good images that would help me in certain anatomy/pose difficulties I have or you see please let me know.
Hope you all will like this series. I'll be trying to work on other things as well, of course; but this project will be my main focus right now until the drawing mojo kicks back into full swing.

Youdid it here too: different pencil hardness, andyoudidnot go over thewhole softer sketch.
As for the strokes; I didn't intend them to be too late. I'm only using one grade of pencil (H2) at the moment and I tend to sketch lightly first in case I have to make erase marks. However; I'm not fully done with these sketches. When I get around to it these will either be fully shaded or inked. But I could do a bit better on making the outlines more equal in tone.
Thanks again.
