The Dark Side
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
It would seem that I have been stuck in Star Wars for so long and been focusing onto Nyrina - as well as Felldew and Norlinth being actual planets of the Star Wars universe - that I devised a reason/problem as to why her people would become involved with the Clone Wars to begin with.
Introducing Sin the Fennec, or Darth Sin if you will. Now, in the world of Felldew, there are many anthro/anima races who get along in life. Some are above others. Some are considered, well, nothing of importance. The foxes for example are considered sly and can't be trusted. Thus, they're cast out into the harsher parts of Felldew where they are forced to survive by most means necessary; some means being worse than actual death. When only a pup, Sin was born into a life of hardship if not cruelty for his mother was nothing more than a slave amongst slaves; abused by the wolf clans into working for them, bedding with them, giving her life to them.
All of his growing up, Sin was taught that nothing mattered in life but power. As a slave, being weakened by starvation, beaten by the whip or club, never helped by Felldewan or Norlinthian, he couldn't do anything against his captors apart for obey for so very long. A hatred for everything grew there in turn; a power that exploded within him when his mother was taken from him as well as never returned. He later came to find out that she'd been... destroyed by the savagery of the wolves. And that is when he learned he was special, when he could use his anger to hurt from afar and move objects without realizing it.
Sin was a force gifted individual. He was a force user. And it was because of his force powers that he left the wolf chieftain, his mother's murderer, Glent, with a torn ear after a night of scuffling. For several months, in secret, the fennec had been training his mind and strength to kill his mother's killer. When he failed, the fox lost all hope or purpose of satisfying his thirst for revenge.
That was until a strange happening occurred. He was approached by an outsider several years later; an older human man with a clean beard, a set face, a smirk on his expression, a knowing glint in his eyes. This man, this Count Dooku, claimed to know of the ways of how to use the force to the greatest effect. he could direct Sin on how to hone his anger, on how to exact his revenge and become too powerful to be stopped by anyone or anything.
Without a direction, haunted by nightmares of his mother's spirit never at peace, Sin quickly and thoughtlessly gave himself to this mysterious power of the force and became a servant of that which was the Dark Side. Many years passed where the fennec learned under the count what it meant to wield power, to give in to hatred, to know that only you yourself could alter your destiny and take what was rightfully yours. In time, the fox became strong enough to not be an apprentice but a warrior.
And when that time came, Sin returned to his birthplace; the slave camps held by the wolf clans. There, where he had never had help from anyone but himself, where his life had been neglected by everyone, the sith warrior single-handedly wiped out every wolf within the encampment. They say some escaped. But not within earshot of Sin. And as for the wolf chieftain, as for Glent, Sin killed him just as his mother had been killed; through crushing force. Sin knew his revenge was complete when he heard the wolf leader's neck snap due to his force grip on his throat.
With the dead body of his longest time nemesis at his feet, Sin realized he had nothing else to prove. His path had ended as a sith. Or had it? Count Dooku announced that Sin was ready for his next mission, his next impossible goal; Felldew itself. Indeed, rallying the foxes around him, aided by the Separatists, Sin - as the assassin he is - has struck many a foe dead from the shadows. He has become the threat that none thought he ever could be. He will see to it that those who did not listen to his pleas for help, those who never helped his people, will suffer for their arrogance.
They will join the Separatists or die. That is the code of Sin, his view on Felldew and Norlinth. And no one, not even that pretty otter who calls herself Nyrina, will stand in his way of accomplishing his goals; of seeing his people liberated from arrogant rulers. Evil souls are not born, mind you. They are made. And Sin is perhaps one the most evil in existence. May the force help him someday.

Awesome once again my dear friend!
Welcome to the dark side we have cookies!
I like to think that in his place I would have tried to lead my people by inspiring them with what I could do, give them a rally point and hope. However, since I have (naturally and thankfully) never been in his place I can't say for certain what I would do.
And why is it that us foxes are never trusted?
...oh yeah, cuz we really can't be :-P
Or is it because Felldew is very heavily influenced by Redwall and the foxes of that universe are bad guys and bad guys by definition can't be trusted?
Happy hunting,
Draro
P.S. Not all of us have damning levels of untrustworthiness. Myself for example, I can not be trusted with sweets. Unless you are trusting me to eat ALL the sweets, in which case yes I can be trusted. If you are there with me though, I will share. If you are in the other room or (heaven forbid) even further away? Unless you specified exactly what you wanted me to save for you, I will not share...I have been known to hide sweets as well.
