Chrysocyon Brachyurus
The Maned Wolf, Chrysocyon Brachyurus, my species of choice. Rare, unique, nocturnal, versatile, cautious, solitary, unusual, quiet, but with a loud bark, social with those of its uncommon kind, and easy to mistake for something it isn't. (It's not a fox, dammit!) This now hangs over my bed as a piece of personal symbolism, perhaps the closest thing I have to spirituality.
