I'd finished this whole picture up except for one part, and finally decided to get it done today. Not really satisfied, but ink is permanent, so.... Still have to plan out the design of her bodysuit, which is in two pieces. The first layer is quite lieterally as close as a second skin; overtop this, one would wear a normal tightsuit or leotard with the colors of their rank and order on it. And of course, for modesty purposes.
Kilazanu, as she is/would be in a scifi-type setting. I even have a whole different race and backstory for her as well. I still lean toward swords and fantasy rp though, so this Kila will rarely get the spotlight.
Her 'space race', as it were, are tacticians and technical geniuses. Much of their weapons and gear is derived from nature and animals native to their planet, but improved upon on the molecular level. For example, a popular material for armor is chitin-based plates, from a large, insectoid animal whose carapace completely absorbs the energy from plasma rounds. Thus, their projectile rounds are quite often a combination of traditional slugs and plasma energy.
Another common weapon of theirs is a whip that demonstrates this metal-and-plasma approach, used mainly to control these insectoid beasts.
