It is the year 1012 ALB, war has been burning across Equestria and the continent of Equus, for four years Equestria has been gripped by war, both civil and foreign. The eastern part of Equestria having been turned into the Lunar Empire, lead by Nightmare Moon with Manehatten as it's capital, meanwhile to the west the Changeling Empire for two years has been been exchanging blows with Equestria, all while the frozen north has been in a chaotic state as communist regimes lead by Stalliongrad have been at play and merely watching the war Equestria is currently in.



Equus as it stands in unrecognizable, the once peaceful continent free of strife has become a powder keg... time will tell if a form of peace could be brought into place....

Stepping into the palace put in place in Manehatten, the command center of the Lunar Empire, Adam Eclipse, a human brought into Equestria and the adopted son of Nightmare Moon, the Prince of the Night and commander of the 13th Lunar Forces. Having just returned from a diplomatic mission to the Changeling's, he knows his mom will want to know how it panned out. Wearing a blue uniform as dark as his mothers coat, his skin is pale white with blue eyes, blonde hair and standing at 5'6" tall.



Nightmare Moon looks to him as he enters her throne room, her extremely dark blue coat and light blue armor combined with her cyan eyes being striking indeed, a smile form on her face instantly as she sees her son "It's good to see you my son, how did your mission go?" she regally trots Adam's way, her form towering over his.



A smile forms on Adam's face "It went well mom, as of now we are in a full alliance with Chrystalis and the Changeling Empire. We are currently phasing out the equipment we have been using to the panzers, weapons and everything else. The 13th is already fully equipped and factories are being converted to produce the new stock, plus we have been exchanging intel between both fronts Equestria is facing.", his grin becomes a little more pronounced "And my Panther Ausf G is a sight to behold indeed."



Moon gives proud nod "Excellent news Adam. With Chrysalis as an ally and your army equipped with her modern weaponry, we stand a much better chance against Celestia and Equestria." she gently moves around "I can hardly wait to see your new Panther tank." she rubs her chin with her hoof "And speaking of allies, how is our friendship with King Sombra going?" her cyan gaze going to his.



Her son sighs "Cadance and Shining Armor have reclaimed their throne with aid from Equestria." shaking his head a little.



Moon's eyes narrow a bit as she blinks, she shakes her head "I see." she looks to Adam as she continues "Well, then we shall have to make do without Sombra's support for now. But fear not, for soon all of Equestria will bow before the might of the Lunar Empire." she puts on a more confident smirk "With that said, let us prepare for our next move. What do you suggest Adam?"



I rub my chin "Before I say, we should head to the war room, that way I can make a more educated choice." he looks to her with a calculating grin "Information is key to victory."



The alicorn of the night nods "A wise decision Adam. Let us proceed to the war room immediately. We have much to discuss and plan. Follow me please." she motions to have her son follower her, with her son walking alongside her.



Adam decides to inform her of some information he has for her, he glances to her "Also, something is happening with the Equestrian forces, their uniforms have been slightly modified and their attacks have become more aggressive..." his gaze takes on a more serious tint ".... and I don't mean the desperate kind either."



Moon stops in her tracks with her son doing the same, she looks to him, her tone and expression showing a hint of concern "Modified uniforms you say? And more aggressive attacks?This is most peculiar. It sounds as though they may have been receiving outside assistance, perhaps from some unknown ally of Celestia's." trying to find an explanation.



Her son rubs his chin in thought "That's just it though, I checked with the spies and lookouts, no further support has come in for them and New Maretime on the Griffonian continent by the looks of it has cut ties with Equestria. They haven't given a statement or anything but they are focusing their forces for defense." he puts on a more alert expression "Whatever is happening in Equestria is sending shock waves."



Nightmare Moon becomes uneasy at hearing this as her expression darkens "If not from an external source, then perhaps they have discovered a new method of warfare or have unearthed ancient secrets long forgotten."



Adam looks to his alicorn mother "You know your sister better then anyone mom, does any of this sound normal?" his own sense of unease creeping in.



Moon heavily sighs as she shakes her head and narrows her eyes in thought "No Adam, this does not sound like Celestia at all. She is the ruler of peace and harmony, not war and aggression. Whatever is driving her to make these changes, it is clearly not her usual self."



"I agree, she normally focuses on defensive tactics and diplomacy. Aunt Celestia has never been known for such an offensive take." Adam just as confused and curious as his mother.



Nightmare Moon resumes taking the lead "Let's head to the war room. We must study the current state of the war and consider all possible options. If Celestia is changing her tactics so drastically, we must be prepared for whatever she may throw at us next." her expression serious as her son follows her closely.



Upon entering the war room, her horn glows and a large magical map is conjured, showing where the Equestrian war stands along with markers of Lunar, Equestrian and Changeling forces.



Adam scans the map "Hmm, the Changeling border with Equestria is in total chaos as both sides keep trying to gain an edge, on our front with Equestria it seems to have stablized." his blue eyes scanning with a calculating gaze.



Nightmare Moon respectfully nods as she studies the map as well "Indeed, the Changeling border remains a hotbed of constant conflict. As for the Equestria front, their newfound aggression has forced us to a stalemate for now." she then looks to her son with a look that carries grave.



The humans gaze looks up north and becomes wide with surprise "Mom, the Crystal Empire, it's been absorbed by Equestria." trying to find a power that no longer exists.



Her gaze goes to the northern regions as she waves a hoof for the map to zoom in, her eyes gaining angry tints and her voice becoming cold "What? How did this happen? When I last checked, they were still neutral."



Adam gives a few blinks as he tries to process this "I thought Cadance and Shining Armor were in good standing with Celestia."



A growl escapes Nightmare Moon as her anger shines through "They were! For Celestia to absorb the Crystal Empire without their consent... that's unheard of! Something is definitely amiss in Equestria." as she paces back and forth, her mind racing as she wonders what is going on.



The Prince scratches his head "None of this makes any sense...."



On that a batpony comes trotting in as he carries a parcel "Prince Adam!" his features in pure distress.



Adam looks to him as he hands me the package "What is this?" tilting his head to the side as he looks to the package and the batpony and earning his mothers attention.



"It was recovered from the front sir with the Equestrian line, you both need to see it." urgency consuming his eyes.



The Prince blinks at the batpony and to Moon before he starts to open it, everyone looking his way, his mother intently watching despite the intense atmosphere and her curiosity gained "Go on Adam, open it. if the front lines sent this to us with such urgency, it must contain critical information."



Adam freezes as he sees what it is, he pulls out and shows it's a flag depicting a blazing sun with reds, oranges and gold, as he looks it over he sounds "Mom, we have never seen this before." his blue eyes taking the flag in.



Nightmare Moon's eyes widen as she gently uses her magic to take the flag from him, her eyes examining it closely "No, we have not. This is not any of the banners of Equestria or it's allies that I am aware of." she looks to her son with a stunned expression "This is... new."



Adam looks and sees that a note had fallen out of the flag, he picks it up and reads to, he freezes in disbelief as he rereads it multiple times, he then slowly puts it down, his face becoming pale as he breaks into a cold sweat.



Seeing her sons expression, Nightmare moon's expression becomes more serious "Adam, what does the note say?" her voice cutting through the air.



His gaze goes towards the alicorn "Equestria.... has been replaced by the Solar Empire, Celestia has become a being called Daybreaker, a nightmare entity." his expression and tone grave "Mom, she has changed just like how you have."



Nightmare Moon becomes shocked as her wings flutter involuntarily, feeling her heart take a hit as she takes a step back "What... what are you saying?" trying to process the new information.



The Prince sadly sighs "Mom... the sister you know, is gone. She has given into her more darker side and changed. Equestria is no more and now the Solar Empire has taken it's place as a supremacist power like us and our changeling allies."



Moon staggers as she cannot believe what she she is hearing, she shakes her head as tears leave her eyes "N-No... no, that can't be right. Celestia would never... she wouldn't give into her darkness like I did..." hoping this is all a bad dream or something.



Adam hugs his mother gently to try to comfort her as she breaks down sobbing, feeling a sense of betrayal as the loss of Celestia sinks in, she looks to her son as manages to speak "My sister... my sweet gentle Celestia... what happened to her?" her body shaking.



Adam sighs as he tries to stay strong for her "I don't know, our Lunar Revolution and the formation of our Empire alongside war with the Changeling's must have pushed her. To where she decided that in order to protect her throne and those under her, she decided it would be best to increase her power unchecked." my own heart trying to comprehend this turn.



Moon takes in a shattering breath as she tries to compose herself "I... I understand her desire to protect, truly I do. But to abandon everything she stood for, to become a tyrant... it's unthinkable." she looks to her son with eyes full of desperate hope.



"I am sorry mom." her son says as he clears her tears "But how else can we explain what has happened? The new uniforms, that tactics and her new flag is over there behind me. Celestia is now Daybreaker, a darker and more powerful version of the sun." his own composer starting to crumble.



"Daybreaker..." Moon says bitterly and her tone shaking with anger "She's... she's taken my path hasn't she? She's become a being of pure light, just as I am of pure dark." her eyes hardening with determination.



Adam gently lets her go as he looks to the map, the map replacing Equestria flags with those of the Solar Empire, he approaches as the gears in his brain kick into high gear "We need factories for the new equipment built, panzers, planes, guns, everything." he looks to his mother "I am not going to lie mom, I am not scared... I am terrified. But that is not going to stop me."



Nightmare Moon gives a nod of resolution, her expression becoming more steely "No it wont, if Celestia has chosen this path, then we have no choice but to meet her on the battlefield."



Adam nods at her words, but as his gaze goes to the map his eyes become wide as he takes a step back "The dragon lands, the buffalo trails." watching both territories become slowly absorbed by the Solar Empire.



Moon gasps in shock as she watches this take place "By the stars.... it's happening faster then I thought."



The human's eyes dart around as he watches the unthinkable unfold before him "I need to get to the front." he looks to his alicorn mom "Get in touch with Chrysalis, inform her of what is happening. Send me and the other forces information and targets as we go." on that he gives his mom a gentle kiss on her cheek and he runs as fast as he can to his army.... to try to preserve the Lunar Empire.



Nightmare Moon watches him go, her heart heavy and worried with fear, she knows how important it is for her son to get to the frontline and coordinate the Lunar Empire's forces in it's defense against the onslaught of the Solar Empire and it's forces, she whispers to herself with maternal worry "Be safe, my child." she then uses a communication spell to open dialogue with Chrysalis.



Eventually Adam reaches where the 13th army has gathered up, getting use to the new equipment as they examine it, the human reaches his Panther Ausf G, it's colored in a dark blue with iconography of the Lunar Empire. Along with with it, numerous tanks and other armored vehicles including Panzer IV Ausf H's, Tigers, JadgPanthers and many others are also present.



The Prince climbs ontop of the tank, he looks at those in front of him "13th!" earning their attention instantly "Get everything ready! We need to get to the Equestrian front now!" his expression one of determination mixed with some panic "Only.... we are no longer fighting Equestria." he pauses as he hears his mothers voice through a telepathy spell she is using, that Chrysalis has been made aware and will is working to reinforce the front on her end, that situation is desperate, he continues speaking to his forces "Equestria is no more, Celestia has changed into her nightmare form, she is now Daybreaker and has changed Equestria into the Solar Empire. She has brought to heel the Crystal Empire and is now destroying the buffalo and dragon lands."



Hushed murmuring spreads throughout the ranks as the revelation sinks in, the soldiers, tank and aircraft crews along with support staff exchange worried glances, their faces etched with both concern and determination. A unicorn mare steps forward, one of her eyes having been replaced by a cybernetic one "What are your orders Commander?"



Adam gives soft nod "We must help preserve and secure the Lunar Empire. We will meet Daybreaker's forces head on! My mother Nightmare Moon is with us, our Changeling allies are with us! The Solar Empire will come at us with everything it has and we will do the same!" the prince straightens himself out "We are the 13th! And we will fight this new threat! We will stand tall! We will... WIN!" he adds some more bravado towards the end to try to drive his forces on a morale front.



With a thunderous roar, the forces of the 13th chant in unison, their voices echoing with conviction and determination "FOR THE LUNAR EMPIRE! FOR NIGHTMARE MOON! FOR VICTORY!"



The human gives a nod and salute "Good luck to everyone, may the night be with us all." on that he gets into his Panther Ausf G and the 13th Lunar Forces quickly begins to make it's way to the front against the newly forged Solar Empire.



As the 13th moves out, Nightmare Moon watches from a castle balcony, her heart swelling with pride and trepidation, she waves her hoof in a gentle farewell, her voice resonating with fierce determination and maternal love "The night is with you my son, with all of you."



The 13th advances across the lands of the Lunar Empire, with determination he guides his forces from the front, the mighty panzers, halftracks and trucks moving in tandem as the new aircraft take to the sky. As scared as the human is to face Daybreaker and the Solar Empire, his fear for losing his home is far greater, his duty as the Prince of the Night and as a loving son clear for all to see. Adam has been on the front since day one of the conflicts that have gripped Equestria, his mother having done her best to try to shield him from such a fate, but he wanted to do his part to help secure the Lunar Empire.



The 13th makes it way towards the front in the direction of Canterlot, soon the sounds of war creep in, from the few Lunar aircraft present Adam gains some intel on the battlefield, becoming amazed at how aggressive the forces of Daybreaker are as both sides clash with Equestrian equipment. After the 13th joins the fight they spring instantly into action as they put the new arms to use, mg34's and mg42's are put into strong points along with mortar and howitzers, self-propelled guns open up, brummbar and stuh 42's unleash their payloads. Adam's panther moves into position and fores it's 75mm gun, the mighty round finding it's mark and wrecks and Celestia heavy tank, the thick armor having been defeated by the high-velocity armor-piercing round.



Adam sounds into his personal radio "Get a tiger tank into a strong point! Get heavy weapons set up with flakk!"



His orders are quickly carried out as engineers get flak 88mm's up along with autocannon emplacements, they begin to fire upon the Solar aircraft that dominate the sky. Meanwhile a might Tiger 1 rumbles into it's spot, it's mighty 88mm gun finds another heavy tank and fires, shredding it and cooking off the stored ammunition.



A Breezie light tank comes Adam's way, it's machine gun opening fire at the Prince, he quickly ducts into his tank as bullets travel overhead, he looks to his tank gunner "HE ROUND AND FIRE!"



The ausf G's main gun swerves around and fires another powerful round, the devastating shell finds it's mark and annihilates the flanking light tank.



Adam pops back into his spot, he prepares the pintle-mounted mg42 "Tanks! Artillery! Infantry! FIRE AT WILL!!!! FOR THE LUNAR EMPIRE!!!"



The forces of the 13th clash hard into the Solar forces in front of them, a few 2cm autocannons joining in supporting the infantry, heavy shells smash into the advancing Solar forces, the tigers, panthers and other war machines tearing through the Equestrian designs like a hot knife through butter.



The prince opens fire with his machine gun "KEEP HAMMERING THEM!!!" unleashing a full barrage at anything that moves, his tanks other weapons joining in the den of war.



Lunar Panzer IV's rumble onward, their long barreled 75mm's fire upon the Solar forces upon Adam signaling their advancements, the combined arms of the 13th begins to turn the tide of the battle, pushing the Solar Empire forces back as they really start to heavy casualties, seeing the Solar forces begin to break and retreat, the Prince of the Night orders his forces to halt but to keep firing. The Lunar forces put up a relentless barrage, hammering the retreating Solar Empire's forces without any mercy. As the enemy flees, Daybreaker comes flying in, riding upon a blazing chariot pulled by four flaming pegasai.



Adam sees her, he stops shooting as he raises a signal "Halt fire!"



The weapons of the 13th fall silent, the eerie silence having replaced the cacophony of war, Daybreaker's golden chariot comes to a stop as it hangs in the air, her blazing gaze showing anger and frustration as she glares at her nephew from across no-ponies land between the two forces. Adam looks at her as he tries to catch his breath, taking in his aunts new appearance as he soft form is now adorned by malevolent flames, as he does he replaces the barrel of the machine gun.



"Is that the best the Lunar Empire can do?" Daybreaker taunts, her voice echoing across the broken battlefield.



Adam puts on an uneasy grin "Funny... I was about to say the same about your Solar Empire."



Daybreaker becomes enraged "Very well." giving a snarl "If brute force is all you understand, the so be it! This is far from over, Nightmare Moon's little pet. Mark my words!"



The human shakes his head "Daybreaker!" trying to get her full attention "You art still my aunt! We can negotiate peace! The Solar, Lunar and Changeling Empire's can create a unified super power of an alliance! The three can be at peace!"



Daybreaker gives him a sneer as her eyes flash with contempt "Peace? With the likes of you and the changelings? Never. The Solar Empire will rise again and when it does it will crush both the Lunar and Changeling Empire's beneath it's hoof!"



Adam leaves his panther and takes a few steps forward towards her "Do you even recognize me?" tears streaming down his cheeks "It's me! Adam! Your nephew! Please listen to me!"



Daybreaker hesitates, for a moment her expression becomes softer as she takes in his distraught figure, but then she hardens her expression once more as she shouts "Silence! You are no longer my nephew! You made your choice when you aligned yourself with that monster Queen Chrysalis!"



Adam freezes in shock, her words hitting him hard "You are still my aunt no matter what!" he falls to his knees "You are still my family and moms!"



"Enough!" Daybreaker shouts at him, her voice sundering the clouds "I have heard enough! Remember this day, Adam, for it is the day you sealed your own doom and that of your precious Lunar Empire!"



The Prince gets up "If all you did was pass laws that made lives for batponies easier and all, none of this would be happening!"



Daybreaker snaps at him "Spare me your empty words! The Solar Empire will prevail and when it does, there will be no mercy for traitors like you!"



Adam screams at her as he tries to keep to whatever composer he has left "You are a traitor yourself! You betrayed Equestria and turned it into the Solar Empire!"



"I did what was needed to bring light and prosperity to Equestria!" Daybreaker counters "Something you would know nothing about, walling in the darkness as you do!"



More tears leave Adam's eyes as he looks at the corrupted alicorn of the sun, both sides watching the exchange as he falls to his knees again "Please... my aunt... there must be a heart that will listen to me that is still inside you!"



Daybreaker's face flickers with emotion again but is quickly overturned with a mask of cold furry "There is no heart left for you Adam. Only the unquenchable fire of vengeance!" he words completely cold towards him.



The two go back and forth, Adam's resolve crumbling with every exchange, it's slowly being drilled in that there may be nothing left of aunt he once knew, he finally breaks down "My mom, your sister Nightmare Moon... she never thought you would become this!"



Daybreaker crows triumphantly "And yet, here I am. Your mother's naivety was her downfall, and now, so shall be yours! The Solar Empire will not rest until the Lunar Empire is reduced to ashes and the changelings are wiped from existence!"



He gets up instantly "My aunt... is taht really what you want? Take a look at the battlefield around us that was once a town." his tone becoming a begging one as he tries to paint a picture for her.



Daybreaker's powerful gaze looks upon the surrounding area, her expression is however unyielding, she states coldly as she looks back to Adam "Collateral damage, the price of progress."



Adam cannot believe at all what he is hearing, he just can't comprehend Daybreaker's words and stance, he never thought he would hear his aunt say such things. He decides to really test her, he pulls out his P38 pistol and slowly pints it to his head, right against his right temple.



Daybreaker's eyes widen in shock as she watches this unfold, for a moment she hesitates, her expression flickering with something that could be considered concern or remorse, but then her expression hardens once more as she snarls "Do it Adam."



The human places a finger on the trigger while he clicks the safety off, anything to try to get her to react in a better way.



Daybreaker's gaze cuts into his "Go on." she coldly urges him "Pull the trigger, end your own life and spare yourself the pain of watching as the Solar Empire destroys all you hold dear."



That's when it hits Adam hard... the aunt that he knows... is gone forever... he slowly pulls the pistol away from his head "I guess I have learned all I needed to know." he holsters his pistol "but, we can still form that powerful alliance, please at least think about it." knowing it is futile but he is desperate for hope.



The alicorn of the sun becomes increasingly frustrated with Adam's continued attempts, she gives a derisive snort as her expression fills with disdain "You still don't get it do you?" sneering at him "The Solar Empire does not need an alliance. It will rule supreme and any who refuse to bow before it shall face annihilation."



Adam wants to give the order to attack, but he knows that she alone can easily wipe him and the 13th out, he puts on a more determined look "Look at those I lead my aunt! Take a look at the faces of the 13th! Batponies! Earth ponies! Pegasai! Unicorns! And more! look at them!" his blue eyes giving her a defiant glare.



Daybreaker's gaze sweeps her nephews forces, taking in the diverse range of ponies and others among his ranks that are united against her, for a brief moment she admires and feels a sense of pride over it but she quickly suppresses it "Impressive, but ultimately futile."



The human has finally had enough, he shouts at her "Is nothing sacred to you anymore?!" crying out at her.



Daybreaker's expression darkens as her voice drops to a low growl "Family. Love. Friendship... they are all weaknesses." she hisses "The Solar Empire will crush any who cling to such outdated notions."



Adam delivers a venomous counter "We just proved your notion is false! Like my mom, the 13th is more then just a force, they are my friends, my family and the love we share helps to keep us strong!" he narrows his eyes as he stands ready "And we crushed the army you sent out! Your view is misguided!"



The alicorns expression contorts with rage at his words "Enough of this!" her words bellowing across the field "Your pathetic attempts to appeal to my better nature have failed Adam. Prepare to die, along with your precious 13th legion!"



The Prince of the Night quickly gets back into his panther tank, he radios "Mom, I need your help!" he looks to his forces and signals to everyone to get ready to make a stand as he keeps relaying his mother Nightmare Moon "My aunt is at my location! She won't listen to me!" tears leaving his eyes "Maybe she'll listen to you. I love you mom." he cries out... knowing this could be his last transmission.



Daybreaker throws back her head as she gives an otherworldly shriek, signalling her gathered forces to attack Adam and his forces of the 13th, her horn igniting in pure power "Farewell Adam." she mockingly calls out to him.



The human yells "Everyone! Open fire! FOR THE LUNAR EMPIRE!!! WE MAKE OUR STAND HERE!!!"



The battlefield erupts once more into pure chaos, tanks and mighty guns exchange fire, artillery rocking and shattering the ground. Ponies on both sides fire upon each other, close combat with hooves also taking place as some unicorns wield prototype magical weapons while casting protective and offensive spells. From her horn, Daybreaker fires a powerful solar beam from her horn, it sweeps among the Lunar ranks, reducing entire groups of ponies to ashes.



Adam does his best to stand his ground, hoping his mom is on her way "I need a tiger to fire at Daybreaker!" desperate at this point.



A mighty tiger aims it's 88mm gun at the solar alicorn and fires, but she effortlessly swats the shell and sends the mighty round into a stuh 42, destroying the medium self-propelled gun, even taunting her nephew that his mother is still not there. The forces of the 13th and the other Lunar forces keep firing, both sides exchanging heavy fire as the Lunar forces can counter their zealous Solar counterparts, Daybreaker with her powerful magic cuts many of them down with swaths of beam, bolts of her magic destroying heavy tank after heavy tank, despite it all the Lunar forces do not concede, Adam keeps leading his forces and so many others, his panther tanks guns firing at anything that moves. Solar tanks storm towards him, Celestia heavy tanks along with Timberwolf and Twilight cruiser tanks come steaming at him. Their guns hitting his panther, but the tanks front absorbs or deflects the damage, all while the 75mm gun targets and knocks out the attacking tanks one by one.



Daybreaker growls as she looks at his panther, she prepares another magic attack, ready to smite him, Adam notices and cries to driver "FULL REVERSE NOW!!!! EVERYONE BRACE!!!"



The panther moves and a moment later Daybreaker fires her bolt of magic, the strike doesn't hit the tank but just in front of it, the tank lefts off the ground due to the shockwave, it's zooms backwards and the back smashes into the remains of a house, the engine of the panther stalls out as Adam and his crew whether the hit. Aside of being shaken up pretty good they are not injured, but the panther is effectively out of the fight.



On that a blue energy beam comes and hits Daybreaker before she can do a follow up strike, sending the alicorn flying back, Nightmare Moon comes screaming towards the warzone, hovering over sons tank "I am here Daybreaker!" growling at her sister.



Daybreaker picks herself back up, her eyes blazing with fury and hatred "Nightmare Moon!" she snarls as her voice drips with venom "You meddling old fool. You think you can stop me again?" she prepares to unleash a devastating attack at Moon.



Nightmare Moon glares at Daybreaker "I know I can, but we can rule alongside Chrysalis! My son and his army are still here and they are slowly turning the fight in their favor. Have a look for yourself!"



Daybreaker hesitates on the action, but she looks around and sees the Lunar forces are starting to turn the tide, even seeing her nephews tank restarting and while wounded it rejoins the fray, it's 75mm fires, striking and taking down a speeding Twilight tank, causing the tank to spin and topple, crashing into the ruined wall of another house while it starts to burn.



The solar alicorn growls as she grits her teeth, clearly torn by the choice, she gives a reluctant sigh as she looks to her sister "Very well."



Nightmare Moon nods "I hope we can be a family again. chrysalis, myself, you and my son given he is the Prince of the Night will sign a treaty and all of the that." her gaze never leaving Daybreaker.



Daybreaker softens slightly at the mention of family but she overall remains cold and calculating "A treaty... very well." agreeing with Moon "But know this Nightmare Moon... if you betray me, I will raze Equestria to the ground and scatter your ashes to the winds."



Nightmare Moon shakes her head "Look around, you destroyed Equestria already."



Daybreaker's ears flatten as she blinks her eyes at the reminder of what she has done, "Touche." she sneers "But I meant what I said. I will not be crossed again." she turns her gaze to her nephew as he struggles to climb out of the hatch "Very well, I accept your proposition."



Adam looks up at Daybreaker as he struggles to get out of the panther, Nightmare Moon lands next to him as he lands in front of the tank, barely landing like he should, wrapping a wing around her son as she looks to him, after seeing his condition she looks to Daybreaker "Come and see your nephew, what you have done." her gaze cold and sharp as steel, doing her best to stay calm.



Daybreaker cautiously approaches, her eyes never leaving Adam's face, as she draws closer she sees signs of past injuries, bruising and some small scars here and there, she becomes shaken as it really hits her now, her old self starting to come back through as she looks to her sister with a mix of curiosity and wariness "He's... grown."



Moon narrows her eyes at the solar alicorn "Of course he is, but look at his eyes! How tired, angry and sad they are, how they have no light left in them." containing her fury at this point.



Daybreaker's gaze returns to her nephew, her features finally giving in as she sees how worn Adam really is, his blue eyes wary as anger shimmers just beneath the surface and the sadness that has claimed his heart in a heavy grip. Adam is weeping towards his aunt as he is barely holding on, the days events having shattered into him pretty good as his body shakes.



Nightmare Moon tightens her wing embrace on him as she looks at Daybreaker "I didn't want any of this for him, do you really think we wanted to fight you? We didn't at all. I have tried and failed to protect my son as this war has dragged on. And I know for a fact he would have tried to talk to you, to try to calm the situation and see if he can get through to you. You broke down your nephew, even while all of this was going on he dreamed of us being together again and he hoped we were still a family as he continued to express his love for both of us." her eyes narrow into a maternal glare at Daybreaker "And in a way... you killed him!"



Daybreaker recoils as Mon's words hit her, her eyes widening in shock and a flicker of pain, she looks at her nephew again, really looking at him, seeing how broken his spirit really is behind the brave face he uses, tears form in her eyes "I... I didn't mean to..."



Adam looks to his aunt, his body shaking as he finally speaks "Shining Armor, Cadance, Twilight and her friends..." fear trembling in his voice "What happened to them?" heavy tears leaving his eyes as he tries to brace himself "Please, tell me the truth."



Daybreaker swallows hard as he throat suddenly feels dry "They're... they're dead, Adam." she looks down at her hooves as she is unable to meet his gaze "I was so consumed by my hatred, so blind to anything but my desire for revenge..."



Her nephew freezes up as he stares at his aunt, his heart feeling like it was just ripped stright from his chest, unable to take anymore, he begins to sob and storms off without saying another word, leaving the two alicorn mares behind.



Daybreaker watches helplessly as she watches Adam run away as his sobs of anguish echo across the battlefield, she starts to follow but stops herself, unsure if her chasing after him will just make things worse. Adam gets into a staff car and speeds away, a puma armored car and a 222 scout car following him.



Moon places a wing on Daybreaker's back, trying to contain her emotions further "Give him time." her tone soft but her fury tinting her words, she looks to Daybreaker "But we will never forgive you for any of it." her features filled with anger "They were our family too and we know they would have tried to do what Adam did. He even helped change Chrysalis and her stance for the better, that is the kind of person he is."



Daybreaker nods as she hangs her head in shame "I know." she painfully whispers "And I will spend the rest of my days making amends, if he'll let me." looking to Moon with determination in her eyes.



Nightmare Moon shakes her head at her sisters words "It's not that he'll let you or not, you are the one who has to show him you are willing to. That you are willing to try and salvage a relationship with him. If you still love him and willing, that is a start, but it is going to take a lot of work. Adam may forgive, but he never forgets."



The solar alicorn nods respectfully, now understanding the full gravity of the situation "I love him, with all my heart. And I will do whatever it takes to earn his trust back, even if it takes forever." she takes a deep breath, steeling herself for the difficult road ahead, but more then willing to try to mend things with her nephew.



The lunar alicorn gives a nod of her own "We will meet with my son after he calms down, I already know he won't be willing to meet with you on his own after what has happend here and since the start of the war." her gaze goes to Daybreaker again "And one more thing sister." her gaze giving a glare as she gets in front of Daybreaker while she uses her magic to remove her helmet.



Daybreaker braces tensely for whatever Nightmare Moon may say or do, she tries to unflinchingly meet Moon's glare for reprimand or consequence "Yes, sister?"



Moon maintains her glare "If you hurt my son in any way again..." she moves her face a little closer to Daybreaker "You will not survive the consequences!" giving a growl, her maternal instinct on overdrive.



Daybreaker shudders at menance and malice in Moon's voice, her determination flatlining in the face of her sisters maternal ferocity "Y-yes sister." she stutters "I understand." she swallows hard, cowed by the lunar alicorns display.



Nightmare Moon slowly nods as she maintains her glare "Good, I am glad we are on the same page." she slowly pulls her head back and readorns her helmet, she then takes a breath "Let's make it clear to our forces to cease fire and both of us will pass word to Chrysalis so that her forces will stand down. After my son is squared away then we can form our alliance."



Daybreaker nods, relieved that the tense moment has passed "Agreed. I will immediately order my forces to stand down and cease all hostilities." she looks to her sister and softly adds "And... thank you for your understanding sister."



The two mares get to work relaying the stand down orders as Nightmare Moon sounds she is worried about her son doing something rash... especially to himself. Daybreaker becomes concerned and even placing a gentle hoof onto Nightmare Moon's foreleg to try to show her sister some comfort and affection. As for Nightmare Moon, she looks where her son went as the entire ordeal sinks further in...



Some tears leave Moon's eyes "I saved him from a world full of strife and war, I brought him here to give him a chance at a better life... he deserves so much better. I tried to spare him from this fate and it happend anyway, I tried to keep him away from the front, I really did."



Daybreaker tries to comfort her sister "Adam has always had a sense of duty and whatnot, he was fighting to protect you and his home." she looks down as she sighs "You have been a wonderful mother to him, you always have. Even in this form, you have never lost sight of your maternal stance, your instinct that has always been there. You brought him here when he was young, to where he has no knowledge of the human world and he has turned into a marvalous stallion."



Nightmare Moon gives a weak smile, appreciating her sisters comfort and words "Thank you, I just wish his childhood ended on a more positive note, he just had his 18th birthday last week."



Daybreaker nods "Now that this war is over, we can make it up to him." she gently nuzzles her sisters cheek "Let's go check on Adam, he needs support more then anypony right now."



With that the two take flight, zooming towards Manehatten to try to catch up with Adam, but thanks to his knowledge of all the shortcuts he is already near the castle... many seeing his grief stricken face...
