Jedi Knight Isaac
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Where his secret visit to the jedi temple of Coruscant had been not only an enlightening one but also an event of hope that his planet could at last be at peace in the ways of the force, now Isaac found his hopes being constantly dashed with every second that passed by. Observing from the balcony of his private chambers as a guest, it'd barely turned dusk for the citywide planet when the he-otter had noticed the armies of clone forces approaching the magnificent temple from all sides; east, west, north, south. Even from the air, landing in their giant shuttles, the clones had descended to lock down the launch bays and public land pads. And during all of that activity, seeing how armed the approaching troops had been, Isaac had experienced a feeling of uncertainty.
If he had known himself better then, if he had been trained better in the ways of the force, the he-otter would have recognized his uncertainty as a disturbance in the force. The dark side had sent a chill down his spine then; the dark side radiating from a jedi turned sith, leading the Republic's clones into the temple to begin an Order 66. The dark side that was now muddling Isaac's sense, slowing him down, making him sloppy in the ways of the force as he currently - making his way through the grand hallways around him, hearing the sounds of battle everywhere - attempted to understand what was happening to the world around him.
Something wasn't right. To Isaac, even through his hazy senses, that much was clear. What other conclusion could he come up with? With his heart breaking inside his chest, he witnessed all of the shot up young jedi - students, padawans, even pups - as well as dead clone troopers that littered the floors everywhere he turned. It could be said that there was a rebellion taking place. Yet, who was rebelling? With all of the deceased young jedi he was seeing, Isaac got the feeling that there was a wrong being committed against the jedi; the supposed protectors of the Republic. What could they have done to their people to cause this kind of massacre against them? For this was what was being done here in the temple tonight. This wasn't a fight. It was a dying resistance against impossible odds.
And if he did not act carefully, if he didn't get out of here soon, Isaac had the nagging feeling that he would end up as dead as the little jedi around him. Indeed, he'd had the terrible feeling like he was being hunted since the first sounds of battle had begun outside of his room. During then, he had stepped out of his quarters to find a sizable group of clone soldiers standing over the smoking bodies of the local jedi guardians; sentries and protectors of the guests of the jedi. They'd been good kids, attending to the needs - no matter how trivial - of the guests. They hadn't done anything out of the ordinary nor dire enough to be executed or shot by the Republic's armies! It hadn't been right!
When the clones had in fact spotted Isaac making his way away from the guest rooms, they'd not asked any questions or ordered him to stop. There was an exclamation that he, one of the guests, was leaving and just after that... he'd just made it around the corner as blasters had begun firing in his direction. Following his instincts, knowing there'd been too many foes for him to handle, Isaac had picked up the pace of his retreat from the clones while tugging his hooded robes closer to himself. Since that incident by the guest rooms, he'd stuck clear of the sounds of battle. Maybe some would have seen him as a coward. But his loyalty wasn't to the jedi. Not yet. It was to Felldew, which he had to find a way back to so as to alert everyone - including Norlinth - as to what was being done here. And he wouldn't be able to do that playing hero; which would likely get him killed.
There was a terrible feeling in this temple now. Whereas there had been bravery along with hope here just hours ago, now the air felt desperate, fearful, saddening. There was a great tear being torn here. There were injustices being done with every second. The balance of the force had been turned... towards darkness somehow? In the very heart of the Republic? Of democracy where freedom was the first priority?
Shaking his head, doing his best to not let himself cave into distress like the dark side was attempting to do to unknowing him, the otter warrior kept his pace a quick if not cautious one. There was a chance that he could make it out of this alive. He didn't know about the others; about the Norlinthian pilots/soldiers who had been his escort to here. Perhaps they'd been killed trying to get him out? One way or the other, he was still stuck in the temple and the landing pads were locked down. There was no way of getting out of here by air. No, he needed to find himself an alternate path. Maybe a side door or route? The main entrances as well as exits would be swarming with patrolling clones; too many for him to talk with much less cut through and survive.
Secrecy. Subtlety. Caution. The Force. These were all the allies Isaac could count on now. His powers with the force were not as great as he would have hoped during all of training with other jedi of the temple for the last month. Still, they were enough for him to sense coming enemies. With a wave of his hand from his hidden spot in the shadows, he even had the ability to make a trio of clones move down another hallway when they'd been coming towards him formerly. While they moved away, he heard the three troops speak more about an "Order 66" announced by the chancellor. The chancellor of the Republic had started this then? One way or another, staying focused, Isaac continued to try to find his way out of this nightmare... when he ran smack dab into five clones around the corner!
"Halt!" The lead clone had just begun, bringing up his blaster with his fellows. "By the order of his lordship-"
Isaac, having already guessed what was happening due to his mistake and what needed to be done to ensure his life, had powered up his lightsaber before the clones had even raised their blasters. As the green light from his blade blinded the soldiers for a moment, they realized too late that they should have fired first and ordered second. By the time they began firing, their captain had been beheaded, another soldier had force slammed and a third was impaled through the chest! The remaining two clones were firing like madmen, not remembering their training at all in the middle of battle. It made no difference in the end. Isaac reflected their blaster fire back into their bodies, leaving burning holes in their dying bodies as they collapsed. It was only after the adrenaline of battle had worn off that Isaac swore to himself.
He could have gained some answers from one of the clones about why he and his four companions had shot up the young jedi nearby. That and what was happening in the temple... if he had left one of them alive and not killed them like an idiot, anyway. One way or the other, what was done was done. And now, down the hallway, it seemed he'd attracted some unwanted visitors due to all of the commotion from the fight!
Looking around, keeping his cool, Isaac noticed a nearby door to the right. It's panel for entry was burnt, bashed, yet still operational. It looked like the clones had been intent on getting inside. Until the he-otter had shown up out of nowhere, anyhow. Surprise, surprise for them. Either way, using his own force powers and knowing hacking the door panel would take too long, the door opened easily as well as locked itself behind the otter knight when he entered. What he found inside of the said door explained why the clones had been trying to get in. There were pups - children of the Republic - hiding as best as they could in what seemed to be... a jedi training room. And when seeing the door open, they'd been expecting the worst. Their attitudes instantly changed when seeing Isaac though. They looked more than happy to see someone superior in the jedi order.
"It's alright. Stay quiet, all of you. Clones are coming this way." Isaac quickly said to the younglings, gesturing for them to stay hidden as he turned back to the door behind him. He flipped his saber hilt in his hands, trying to calm himself and be one with the force.
The clones had gotten to the door and from behind it, the otter knight could hear them discussing how to get inside. Obviously the dead clone soldiers and burnt panel to the door alerted them to jedi presence. Thus, powering up his green lightsaber again, illuminating the dark training room in emerald light, Isaac prepared himself for another battle for when the clones would break through. Only this time, he would be fighting not for his life but for several others watching him. Once he felt ready, to the surprise of the clones outside, the otter knight swept open the training room door and leapt forth! What came next... he couldn't say, until he stood over the smoking, lifeless bodies of six more troopers.
Isaac was unwounded. As were the awed younglings inside.

This design of Isaac the Otter - Nyrina's cousin - as a jedi knight was very fun and very unique to think up and work with. And as for whom I worked with, as for who brought this very impressive character life, that was thansk to the grand talents of Holtzmann who could use some more commissions on FurAffinity:

I just recently watched Episode III where Order 66 was triggered. Never did like the scene of Anakin turning on the younglings. I have been noticing how you've been improving in your own writings, bud. I hope I can keep up with you in style, ha ha. x)
I am glad to know that my writing has improved, and I assure you yours is nothing to scoff at. I always enjoy your artistic flare. I do miss the stories you have stopped, though I know you have your reasons. As always I wish good luck and good health to you my friend!
I look forward to when next we speak!
