She titled this image "Laiya Waits" when she posted it, without knowing anything about what I had planned for the character, and it fits perfectly!

She waits for her father to appreciate the daughter he has, instead of the son he doesn't have.
She waits for a mate that will love her, and not just desire to use her as a path to the throne.
She waits for the King of Atlantis to appear.
wait a minute... does.. you know, Atlantis appear when Rob enters the world of Furtasia? i mean... is it in ruins or does it still stand proud as a civilization at its highest peak?
If Rob was in the area of Furtasia where the leopardra live (the leopard woman who stabbed him), then he's many weeks' journey away from New Atlantis.
Most likely, his first view of New Atlantis would be through a TV monitor, watching telemetry from a UAV that the science team sent up to do air recon.
Because Rob is that kinda guy, he would go for that adventure. Even a spear through his heart aint gonna stop Rob!
First, Rob would have to make his way out of the jungle where the portal seems to have appeared (and where the base camp is). Then he'd trek across hundreds of miles of savannahs and grasslands. He might come across the ruins of Doranith; the felixne kingdom there. Would he seek to make peace with the felixine, assuming it was a misunderstanding, or would he condemn them as savages, and make war on them?
Then there's another couple hundred miles of red-rock deserts with towering mesas; home to the kruub; a race of orc-daemon hybrids that are superb martial artists and warriors. Would Rob try to pass peacefully through their lands or try to fight his way through?
Then there's a towering mountain range he must cross over... or under. Will he have to fight his way through hordes of goblins (there's no peaceful solution with them), or will he encounter some friendly dwarves? Or will he inadvertently make enemies of the dwarves, and have to fight them as well?
Then there's a vast, wild, timber forest beyond the mountains, and a series of huge, interconnected, fresh-water lakes that make the Great Lakes of North America seem puny. Along the shores of one of these lakes lies New Atlantis.
