Good evening, my loyal subjects...
And Happy Halloween. Almost-Halloween at least, but it seemed like a good time to unveil my costume for 2015. Last year you might remember that I was a cute lil devil. So this year it seemed appropriate to do the opposite and am being all angelic.
More arts to come tomorrow, hence why I am posting this one tonight.

The server knows who you are, or else they couldn't publish the submission under your name. That's what prevents others from publishing under your name. There's a session object serverside that links uniquely to info placed in your browser's temp data which is secure.
So the server knows its you. The server knows the name of your last submission. And the server knows the difference in time between your last submission and now. If that time is less than... oh lets say 10 seconds... its unlikely not to be a dupe submission.
But you can do one better. Since this is a pretty modern site using PHP, these pages are generated on-demand. Every time someone clicks that New Submission button, you can generate a unique id and place it in a hidden page input that's sent with the form. Since the server knows how many of these its distributed to you lately, it will know exactly how many submissions you're planning to upload. And even if they're otherwise the same, it will know the difference. This is actually a really important technology because if you allow it only to know the last request, you can thwart a whole bunch of hacker type man-in-the-middle-type spoofing attacks. Since only the recipient knows the last key, and the key changes every time you look at it .
