I’d been reading an enthralling fiction story series by MKu1tra (who has since sadly vanished, along with his work) that dealt with some of the harsher aspects of life. As I read the first scene, I suddenly found myself humming a random tune that appeared in my mind. I wrote it down, and before long, it turned into this theme. I’m pleased to say the author and I actually became pals over it.
I’d like to dedicate this theme to the author’s tragically departed cousin. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
Written & recorded with Sibelius; mixed with Audacity.

Also, I've read some of the story, it's a tear-jerker. A very well done piece of literature.
As for that thing you hope never to see or do: well, you’re in the Military, so … it’s kinda bound to happen sooner or later, honestly. =( Thanks for the vote. =)
Just cause I'm in the military doesn't mean I'll ever fire a weapon in anger. Surprisingly, most soldiers never see combat for the duration of their enlistment. The key thing is, I'm prepared for it (at least as prepared for it as you can get) while most civi's aren't. If I ever have to take a life, it'll be to save more lives (kill one enemy, save fifty platoon-mates). That is why a lot of soldiers believe that the military is a life-saving organization, not a life-taking one.Last thing, if you take this whole thing as a rant, I didn't mean for it to come across that way. I've been attacked verbally several times for my reasons for join the military, and this is one of my most used replies. The reason it could come across as aggressive is because it is countering belligerent behavior 99 time out of 100.
