Interesting how all the elecphants turn pink in the South! :-)

Joy is the resident pachyderm at the Greenville Zoo and the first animal ambassador that you will meet as you journey through this small but nice zoo.

I lived in Orange Park, Florida from 1964-72, so I am well aware of the red clay of The Deep South. Lord knows, I wore enough of it! :)

It is not a criticism of The South, just a common observation and small jibe. I know that Southerners have plenty for the Damn Yankees as well.

My wife has a growing collection of sands and soils from around the world. Everything from Kentucky south tends to be red, unless I specifially find a locale that isn't. Thats a bit difficult, but not impossible.
