KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Mavra and I are in New Town, I've been following feedback on blacksmiths from the general populace to see if I place an order. As for Mavra she's acting as my bodyguard and she's also looking to get some supplies for helping me learn more advanced fire spells.

Up ahead I see the place I've been looking for, the shop has a stack bellowing harsh, black smoke, we enter the shop which has basic iron tools to one or two examples of plate armor and many weapons on display.

A horse comes over to us, his topless form caked in sweat and his coat a blackend brown that shows traces of ashes, he looks at both of us he says "I am Jakob, welcome to my shop. How may I be of service?" as he wipes some sweat off his brow and having a light smile.

I give a light smile of my own, I say "I'm Adam, pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm looking to have a custom sword forged." as I present to him a sketch of a sword.

Jakob takes my sketch, his eyes scanning it and he says "Quite an exquisite-looking long sword and the materials you have listed here will certainly have it be a formidable weapon. I'll take your order but I'll need a down payment."

I think 'I knew you would say that.', I pull out two gold coins and I say "Two aureal should be enough." with a light smirk.

The horse puts on a look of surprise as he eyes the coins, I guess he wasn't expecting me to have such funds and he simply nods. We get my receipt in order with some information on future payment which I can cover and we leave the shop, I hear someone yell towards us, I look and I see a bandit and he looks like he's from the group that attacked us.

The wolf says "You two! So this is where you went!"

Mavra says "You again? Come on, we sent you running last time." as she crosses her arms in a smug.

The wolf looks to me and he says "Our leader sent me here to see if I can find you, if I take you down I'll get a promotion!"

Mavra goes to put her hand on her sword but I cut her off, I look to her as I ready my long sword, the vixen nods and I step forward, "I'll deal with you myself bandit!" as I get ready.

The wolf pulls out his sword with hungry eyes and we go at eachother at the same time, I swing which he fails to parry but my sword glances off his armor and he stumbles back, I go for another swing but he just stands there with a smirk at the last moment, I hit him pretty good this time as my sword cuts deep into him and bypassing his armor just over his liver, he swings his sword in anger but I dodge it.

I think 'Enough of this!'

I raise my left hand and quickly cast one of my spells, fire ignites the leather but he tears it off and charges me, with a swing I knock his sword away and cleaves into him again, he brings down his sword but once again I counter it knocking it away with a blocking spin, I flip my sword around and thrust it into the bandit, I hear air leave his lungs in a gasp,I pull my sword out of him, I hear him fall to the ground, I turn to face him with my sword raised but he's motionless with his eyes wide open.

I glance around as I use my fire spell to get rid of the blood on my sword to see if any other bandits are nearby, but I don't see any, just scared and curious people, I thrust it into the air as I yell "VALOR AGAINST THE ODDS!!!" in triumph.

People start to cheer and I see Mavra with a proud and relieved look, I go over to the fallen bandit, I close his eyes and I take his sword, it's all rusted and pitted but it'll make a decent first trophy at the very least. The crowd soon dies down with Mavra and I heading to where she needs to go.

Mavra says "Danica has done a great job of teaching you how to fight and you use of the fire spell to get rid of his armor was excellent strategy." with a light smile.

I say "Truth be told, I was trying to set all of him on fire. But now we have a problem."

Mavra puts on a curious look and she says "What's that?"

I say "If the wolf doesn't report in, whatever is left of the bandits will come here.", I glance to Mavra and I say "How many bandits did you and Serilda see?"

Mavra says "We eliminated around ten but in total we saw about twenty flee plus their leader who you injured."

I say "We need to talk to the Don and Donna when we get back."

Mavra nods, we quickly go to the wizard college for supplies and make our way back to the Don's residence where we are met by Serilda with her arms crossed.

Serilda says "I heard what happened. Are the both of you alright?"

Mavra says "We're alright Serilda, Adam handled it pretty well." with a light smile.

I say "We may have bigger issues though, we need to see the Don right away!"

The three of us head to the main hall where the Don and Donna are, they instantly notice my concerned look and quickly become curious.

The Don says "Good Adam, what's the matter?"

I say "Forgive the intrusion mi lord, but we may have a situation. A bandit attacked Mavra and I in New Town, I took him down but he was from the same group of bandits that attacked us a month ago. And I fear if they don't hear from him they'll all come here!"

The Don looks to Mavra and he says "Is this true?"

Mavra says "Yes mi lord."

The Donna says "This approach sounds similar to the Keen Claw Gang, a group towards the north who raid small settlements, though they have never attacked cities before."

The Don says "But we must never underestimate our enemy, they are a large bandit group and their leader has a knack for razing what they can't take. Adam, if these bandits are a threat then they shall be dealt with. Therefore I am assigning you to deal with them, assemble who you want to take with you and any supplies you need. If you succeed the reward will be great."

I bow my head "I accept mi lord."

I ask Mavra to go get Maeve and I ask Serilda to come with me to the cathedral, if we're fighting bandits then we're going to need some healing factor. We enter the cathedral, priests instantly look at us, I ask to see Sister Lalaine.

The familiar skunk comes over to us "How may I help you good Adam?" with a bright smile.

I say "I have a mission from the Don himself to go after some bandits and I need a medic, is it possible you can come with us? It wouldn't hurt if that person also helped with morale."

Lalaine puts on a surprised look and she says "Hmm, I'm not sure. I must talk to my superior. I"ll be right back."

Lalaine walks off, I sigh which catches Serilda's attention.

Serilda says "Your first mission, but I'm surprised the Don decided to send you and not Danica or his arms."

I say "The guards and military aren't going to just leave their posts and this is something that needs to be dealt with, if we're fast enough we can catch them off-guard but we must hurry."

Lalaine comes back over and she says "I can accompany you good Adam, I just got permission."

I say "Welcome aboard Sister.", I look between both ladies and I say "Now we need to meet up with Maeve and Mavra, there is only one thing left to take care off."

We meet Maeve and Mavra in front of the cathedral and head to a different black smith shop in New Town where I get equipment for Maeve given her background as a ranger, I get her a longbow, short sword, dagger, 7-league boots, leather armor and 30 arrows, her dress replaced with more practical clothes but she keeps the dress by putting it in a backpack. We grab supplies at a store near the northern gate and we head out with Serilda and Mavra at the front, Me and Lalain in the center and Maeve in the back.

After a few minutes we hear "Hold up!", we turn and we see Danica running towards us.

I say "Danica?" as I blink my eyes.

Danica says "What are you guys doing? I heard what happened and my brother told me about the mission... are you guys insane!"

Mavra says "Danica, you, myself and Serilda maybe Adam's teachers but he has a right to make his own decisions, besides take a look at who is with him. Myself and Serilda who are magic users, a preist for healing and Maeve is fully equipped when it comes to her training. Not to mention we are properly supplied for the task at hand."

Danica scans us with her eyes, I can feel the heat coming off them as she comes over to me "Then I'm coming with you." as her scowl changes to a smirk while also saying "My brother asked if I could go with you and I accepted. When I found out you had already left I chased after you as fast as I could, I figured you could use another sword."

I nod "Exellent, all of my teachers are with us! Not only will will accomplish the task we'll do it without a hitch!" with a confident smile.

The now six of us continue with Danica joining pace with Maeve and we all go silent for a while but Lalaine breaks the silence "Quite an interesting group Adam, one guy amongst a group of women." with a smile.

Maeve says "Though he has learned how most of us fight, the only two he hasn't seen en action is you and me."

Lalaine says "I'm a pacifist and I don't know how to fight." with a shrug.

I say "Lalaine is our medic, so we gotta do our best to keep her covered and she's also our morale officer."

Lalaine says "In Helloise's name, I won't let you down." with a warm smile.

Serilda says "Nervous about this at all Adam?" as she glances to me.

I say "To tell you the truth I'm nervous about what may come at us. Like the Don said, they may be bandits but don't underestimate them, that's a fast route to the grave."

Night creeps in but we've made pretty good time according to Danica, I find myself looking at the stars as I think back on the past month, my first real mission... nervous and enthusiastic at the same time.

I enter a small dug out that Serilda and Mavra had created with their magic, I pull over some loose grass to cover the hole and I remove my armor and equipment before sitting on my sleeping bag. I look to the campfire as I hold my hands out to try to warm up.

Lalaine comes over and she says "Mind if I join you?" with a grin.

I say "Not at all." with a smile of my own.

Lalaine sits next to me and pulls out her religious text, I glance to her, her white robes reflecting light from the fire, smiling as she reads.

I say "I haven't started reading the book you gave me yet, I've been too busy with my studies."

Lalaine looks to me and she says "If you want I can help you study."

I think 'It wouldn't hurt, besides I wouldn't mind having another friend here.', I say "I would be gratefull Sister.", I go to grab my backpack, I go to check my books and I make the discovery "I forgot it?" as I double check.

Lalaine says "We can share my book for the time being." keeping her smile.

...................................................................

Mavra and Serilda look to the human and skunk with warm smiles, in about a month he's learned how to fight and weild some magic, Danica smirks with pride, that Adam had bested an opponent after many hours worth of practice and Meave smiles at the scene, to see Adam huddled near a skunk where few others would dare to tread. Though he does still have a lot to earn and he is reckless, if they had to guess he's trying to prove something more to himself then anyone else.

Mavra whipsers "Hard to believe a month ago he fell from the sky."

Serilda whispers "I'm glad we're the first two he encountered, who knew what would've happened."

Mavra whispers "If the bandits nabbed him then he would be in the thralls of a slaver by now."

Serilda whispers "He's still a novice, but besting bandits is a good start."

Maeve opens her backpack, she looks at her purple dress, she glances to Adam, of all the people she could have ended up with, it was him, a human who has a fresh perspective instead of a slaver who would've likely used her as a toy. She looks at her equipment, she was back in her element, armed and ready to fight, she silently thanks him as she gets her pack ready.

................................................................

I say "Sister, if I may ask, where are you from?"

Lalaine says "I am from the lands of the Avoirdupois, it's a little rough but nothing too harsh at least where I'm from. How about you?" with a curious smile.

I say "I'm from the United States." with a light smile.

Lalaine puts on a confused look and she says "United... States?"

Mavra says "Adam is from a different world, some teleportation spell happened and next thing we know he bumped into us." with a light smirk.

Maeve says "I wasn't there, but it makes sense as there are no records of humans en any record I could find." with a smile of her own.

Lalaine blinks "Helloise... and here I thought you were just from a distant land we haven't found yet."

Serilda says "Well... your half-right Sister." her smile becoming more amused.

The rest of the night goes on without much happening and the next starts off early as we continue to trek, Serilda and Mavra have an idea where the bandits are operating from but they aren't too sure of an exact location. Merchant carts and travellers pass us, their looks of surprise and curiosity are ignored but some of their guards give us that look, the look of understanding what our mission is, but given that the bandits are roughly three days worth of time away from Triskellian by walking it'll be about a week before we get back to the city. With a glance to the sun it's already mid-day so I decide to tell everyone we're taking a break and to have something to eat, much to everyone's delight. We find a spot under some trees and break out rations, for most of us it's some kind of meat with some patatos while Maeve breaks out some dried fruit.

I decide to break the silence after a few moments "What information is known about the Keen Claw Gang?" and I take in some water.

Maeve says "They are ah group of marauders who go from place to place, up until now they've only operated in the lands of the Bisclavret, there have been times where they adorn their colors in the places that they strike but they are far more likely to wear disguises, which wasn't the case when you were attacked. They typically take what food and valuable loot there is, take captives if they can and raze the town to the ground... but if they are moving into Triskellian, it's very concernin."

Mavra says "But they don't have the numbers to do that, maybe a raid and that's if they catch the city by surprise... even then they can be wiped out easily."

I think and I say "Something isn't adding up here, but if they do decide to make a move on the city it could result in serious damage, not to mention a lot of lives lost."

Lalaine says "What if they surrender?" as she blinks while eyeing me.

I say "If any surrender, then we tie them up and bring them to the city where they'll be tried."

Maeve says "That's just it... they won't. Those who have been cornered put up last stands."

I say "It's up to them if they want to die or not, maybe if we show them enough force and bring their leader down they'll give up then. We wont know until the fight happens."

Serilda says "Speaking of which, what's our battle plan?" with a raised eyebrow and this gets everyones attention.

I say "We'll break up into two teams, on one flank will be Serilda and Danica, Mavra and myself will take the other, Maeve will cover us from afar and Lalaine will hang back with her, if she goes out she'll be a prime target. The trick is applying overwhelming force in the shortest amount of time, that means we need to cause a lot of chaos and casualties near instantly through a combination of spells, arrows and steel... if need be even our own teeth and claws."

Maeve says "So, we'll start off as take no prisioners and if any surrender before the fights over?"

I say "Since Lalaine has white magic, that means we can patch them up too, go for the legs so that they can't run and once the fights over we tie them up, get them healed and we bring them back to the city."

Mavra says "Sounds pretty solid to me, with a mage on a two pronged attack and two fighters charging into the fray covered by an archer on a decent field, we'll have the edge no questions asked."

I say "That being said, we don't know what terrain their camp is set up in."

Maeve says "I can fly ahead at night and see what I can find." as she shows her left wing.

I say "An excellent idea, we'll hike until sundown and set-up camp, Maeve take what you need and recon what you can see. The more information we have the better." with a light smile.

After a few more minutes we get back to trekking and as said we stop with the setting sun, Maeve removes all of her gear save for her sword, soon the sun is all but gone, we wish her luck and she takes off as we set up camp in the middle of a cluster of bushes. Mavra ignites a small fire and we start to break out some fresh rations, I decide to keep my ears open as I eat, even if we're a day out I just have a feeling we may not be the only ones out here, I hear a light snap so I stop eating instantly. Everyone looks at me, I slowly put my meal down as I look where I heard the noise, I get up as I glance to the others who nod as they get up.

I ready my sword as I make my approach, a male fox jumps out with his arms up, his clothes look to be that of a farmers, I hard stop myself to avoid having my sword cleave him.

The fox says "Wait, I mean you no harm!"

I say "Are you crazy!? I could've killed you!" as I put my sword away.

Serilda approaches and she says "What are you doing out here?" as she crosses her arms.

The fox says "I'm just a farmer, p-please you have to help! Bandits are attacking my farm, my family is trapped!"

I nod as I think, I look to the ladies and I say "Mavra, you and Lalaine stay here and guard the camp, Serilda and Danica your with me!"

The fox says "Thank you!" as he waves to have us follow him with a grateful smile.

We run and up ahead we see a farm that's burning and about five bandits that match the group we're chasing have a vixen and what looks like a kid tied up.

I quickly pull my sword out and I yell "OVER HERE BANDIT SCUM!" trying to get their attention.

The five look at us as they ready their weapons, Danica readies her sword and Serilda's hands start to glow a ghostly green. One of them comes charging straight at me with his sword drawn, I feel my adrenaline kick in, I swing my sword which cuts into him pretty deep as his cloth armor gives no resistance. He backs away from me as he raises his sword with a very scared look, I swing and he gets out of the way and he braces with his sword, in a moment I'm right on top of him, he tries to block but with a slash I cleave him pretty good, I hear a gurgling sound as he simply falls. Another bandit comes at me, he fumbles which opens him up for a counter strike and I do just that, I cut him so deep he just falls to the ground gripping his abdomen in sheer pain, I look and I see a bandit scared as he backs off after being hit by a magical attack from Serilda and another is scrambling from Danica as he clutches his chest, the fifth one just stares at us and he yells for all of them to retreat.

I yell "DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY!" as I run after him.

The bandit and his rabbit legs keep him just out of reach, I quickly reach out with my hand, he ducks to the side and my spell catches a wagon on fire. I try to keep pace with him as best I can, I decide to try again and this time I get him as his leather armor and his back fur ignite, he screams as he tries to still run away but he's starting to slow down but I'm almost out of breath, though I am now in striking range, I swing which cleaves deep into his back, he falls in an instant and whatever I cut is bleeding pretty badly, I quickly move the fire off of him and throw it on the dirt. I grab him and I start to drag him back to the field of battle as he cries out his surrender, the two wounded bandits who didn't get badly hurt are still standing as Serilda and Danica watch them and the family is alright.

I yell as loud as I can towards our camp "MEDIC!!! MEDIC!!!"

Lalaine runs out from the woods, she becomes horrified at the sight but she gets to work on mending the injured. The rabbit is in pretty bad shape even after being healed and the wolf gets patched up, the other two are injured but don't require any medical attention and the first bandit I struck is dead. We get the fire under control and the farm is mostly undamaged, thankfully the fire damage isn't that bad. But now we have a whole new problem... actually four of them.

Danica says "Well, we can't just leave them here."

Serilda says "We can't let them go either." with a sigh.

I sigh as I take the situation in, a choice needs to be made and I say "Danica, you and Serilda escort them back to the city, with any luck you'll run into a prisoner caravan or something and try to regroup with us. The rest of us will proceed onward."

Serilda nods and she begins to tie them up.

I go over the family and I say "Is everyone okay?"

The man says "Y-Yes, thank you young man!" with a tearful smile as he holds his wife and kid.

I nod with a smile, I look up and I see Maeve, I wave her down and she lands in front of me.

Maeve says "Looks like you guys got here in time." with a relieved smile as she takes the whole situation in.

I say "We'll be down by two because they need an escort. Please tell me you have good news."

Maeve shakes her head and she says "The bandits are held up in a cave with only one way in and there are 14 of them."

I sigh as I go over the numbers in my head, we'll be down to four and the enemy is in a fortified position.

The male fox comes over and he says "Excuse me sir, what's your name?"

I look to him and I say "I'm Adam."

The fox says "I'm Fredrick, as a show of our appreciation, how about you and your friends bunk with us?" with a light smile.

I smile and I say "We would be grateful Fredrick, thank you."

Serilda and Danica start their escort while the three of us go back for Mavra, we pack up our camp site and we head back to the farm where we're each given a room, Maeve tries to squeeze in that she has duty to rest with me but I whisper to her to let it go. Thankfully I sleep so well I don't even dream and after quite a breakfast, I decide to leave Fredrick and his family some money to help them get their farm sorted out and we proceed on our mission.

I say "How far out is their hideout Maeve?"

Maeve says "About fifteen miles from here."

Mavra says "Their that close?"

I say "We still need the flanks covered, Mavra you're on left and I'll still take right."

Lalaine says "Maybe we should wait for Serilda and Danica."

I say "If we wait too long they'll come out looking for their guys and we can't fight all of them at once."

Maeve says "I'm with you, but we may have lost the element of surprise."

I say "I doubt it, bandits like to revel in the destruction they cause, but we won't know until we get there."

Mavra says "I say we continue with the momentum we have, if we strike now we may have the upper hand."

We walk for however long and Maeve let's us know we're close, she brings use through some trees and we see a cave going into a hill that looks artificial, thankfully while it is fortified, hopefully that means they can't reinforce fast. We put the plan into action, Mavra moves into position with me doing the same, Maeve takes her post with Lalaine staying with her, I look to Maeve, I raise my left hand and I start counting down from five, after one I swing my hand down. Maeve gives a loud scream that lasts for several seconds, within moments a few bandits run out, I inch forward, I swing but his armor stops the blade, though he's stunned, an arrow strikes the front most in the neck, Mavra fires a lightning bolt from her grasp which blows through the third guy. The bandit swing around to face me, I quickly deliver a strike which wounds him and now he's in sheer shock, I swing but he dodges, he swings but I quickly knock it away and stab him pretty good, he yells as he comes at me, I knock his blade away and with the pommel I hit him square in the face which staggers him, I hear loud foot steps coming, I get an idea, I look at him, his swing is just short but with a gesture I light his chest aflame... but barely, an arrow suddenly hits him and he falls.

I sigh and I hear breathing, I quickly spin around and three more come, one of them laughs and charges me, I swing and he dodges as a few more come, I raise my hand but the bandit and the one behind him duck, my flame sparking on the rock face. Mavra has a gust of wind some and send two of them into the rocks, Maeve fires an arrow which does miss. The bandit attacks me, I go to black but I'm too late, his sword goes into my armor but it only lightly cuts me skin as I feel the blade mixing with crimson. I yell as I stab my sword through him and toss him aside It's a very slow process but we are widling them down, but then I hear a loud roar, their leader comes out, his axe ready.

The bear says "You've put up a good fight, but I Malleus shall end it!", he aims his axe at me and he says "Your mine!"

He's suddenly towering over me, I quickly swing my sword which hits him good, I dash to the side as brings his axe down, I counter him again by getting another hit in but he isn't slowing down, if he hits me though I know I'm dead.

I say "Come on bear, is that all you got?!", I charge as I yell "VALOR AGAINST THE ODDS!!!", I go for another stab, tries to get me but he's too slow, my sword goes through the armor and through his torso. I look into those eyes of his as I keep pushing the sword, he puts on a look of surprise, I yank the sword out of him, crimson flows from his wound at great speed.

Malleus says "You... beat me?! A puny, shrimp like you?" as he begins to collapse.

I say "We can provide you medical aid, just surrender."

Malleus says "We never surrender!", he lightly laughs and then he finally falls backward.

On that the other bandits look at their fallen leader and they surrender one by one, out of all the carnage here eight of the bandits survived our attack, Mavra begins to tie them up as Maeve and Lalaine join us.

Lalaine sees my wound and she says "Adam! Are you alright?!"

I say "I'm fine, it's just a flesh wound." as I stare at the bear for a few moments before joining Mavra.

Mavra says "We've got a long trip back." with a tired sigh.

I say "Then let's get started." and I begin to lead the way as I put away my sword and hold the bears axe.

The walk back to Triskellian is all blurry, I'm so focused on getting back I don't really pay attention to anything else but we do stop for breaks every now and again, we reach the city where Serilda and Danica look to be heading out but they see us and stop.

Danica looks to the axe and she says "You did it!" with a proud smile.

Mavra says "I can't wait to sleep." as she yawns.

I say "We're almost done. I just have to turn this in to show we accomplished the mission.", I look to the ladies and I say "You all did amazing, I have to take care of this and I'll get the pay secured, go get some rest you all earned it." with a smile.

We all pretty much head towards the Don's residence with the exception being Lalaine who heads to the cathedral, I present the axe to the Don and Donna who look at me with pride but they can also see how tired I am.

The Fabrizio says "We'll send the reward to your quarters good Adam, it'll be up to you to divide it. You did very well, we're proud of you." with a smile.

I say "Thank you mi lord." as I bow my head but I'm so tired I almost lose my balance.

I feel someone catch me, I look and I see it's Alcalee, I say "Thank you mi lady."

Alcalee says "Go get some rest good Adam." with a warm smile.

After moving through the halls I get to my quarters where Maeve is already laying down but she isn't asleep yet, I lay with her and I embrace her, Maeve wraps her membranes around me, she looks to me with tired eyes of hers.

Maeve says "I think you handled the mission pretty well."

I sigh and I say "I'm just happy I got all six of us home and that the city doesn't have to worry about a potential attack."

Maeve glances to my right and he says "Your sword arm is shakin."

I look at my hand as I have it move between us, sure enough it is shaking... I think back to a few of those I had put down, most of them just stood there in shock while I brought my sword down like a guillotine... at the time I just past it off as 'they had a choice', but so did I. The bear however sticks out the most, I delivered quite a blow that ended his life, I showed mercy, compassion when I informed him I was willing to have him healed, but he laughed it off as if it was a joke. Sure we saved that family, but... I'm not sure if I can even call myself a hero. Maeve moves her left hand to where she's holding it gently, she looks to me with an understanding and comforting look.

I say "How do you do it?"

Maeve sighs and she says "To be honest, warriors heart is something that sticks with ya. I remember when I first killed a man on patrol, he was a raider who struck people on some of the more out of the way routes, sometimes he would let them go but most of the time they were slain. Fer five days I tracked him, he was getting ready to attack another group, he and I fought for a while but in his last moments I'll never forget his eyes that went from the fury of a predator to that of someone afraid to die, eyes that wanted mercy. That kind of scene is one you'll encounter more often then you'd like ta see, but what it comes down ta is how not just you handle the situation, but what kind of situation you were in at the time and how yer opponent was. Bandits maybe yer typical enemy but some can be forced into it by circumstance or by the will of another, but what comes down to in a fight is that it's either you or them, if they are still standing there with their weapon drawn, scared or not they are willin ta use it, even a fleein opponent is still a threat because ya don't know if they could bring help or somethin else. Only when they truely surrender and willing to be taken do you know fer sure."

Maeve gives me a light kiss on my forehead as I feel some light tears leave my eyes, my emotions finally coming out and soon I fall asleep.

.............................................................

Lalaine is praying in front of a statue of Helloise, she finishes her prayer and she starts to head to her room, eager to get some sleep for herself as it was quite an adventure for her.

A mans voices catches her attention "Sister Lalaine."

The skunk looks and sees a rabbit wearing a pure white robe approaches her and she says "Father Coniglio." with a light bow.

Coniglio says "How was the mission?"

Lalaine says "It went well, we stopped the bandits and under Adam's intervention we even saved some farmers who came under attack." with a light smile.

Coniglio says "Did you find out where he came from?" with a raised eyebrow.

Lalaine nods and she says "Adam is a human from another world entirely, there are no lands here that have his species."

Coniglio puts on an intrigued look and he says "Lastly, has he read the book you provided him?"

Lalaine lightly shakes her head as she says "No.", she straightens herself out and she continues "But we did some study from my book and I think it now has his attention."

Coniglio puts on a look of deep thought, he closes his eyes for a moment as he nods and he says "Please come with me."

The two head into Coniglio's office where he closes the door and the two take their seats, Lalaine is surprised by this, but it seems the father wishes to address her with something.

Coniglio says "What I am about to say to is from some ancient texts that we decrypted about two decades ago, it is called the Age of Resurgence. Some of the pages were destroyed over the ages, but the prophecy talks about someone appearing in our world to reignite the presence of Light, this Adam may be that person."

Lalaine puts on an expression of pure awe and she says "Helloise..."

Coniglio nods and he says "What I said can't leave this room, for we still don't know. How well did the both of you get along?"

Lalaine says "We got along very well, he didn't care one bit that I was a skunk." with glee.

Coniglio says "Hmm, quite chivalrous." with a light smile of his own and he says "How would you like to be his confessor and spiritual adviser?"

Lalaine says "I would be honored Father."

Coniglio says "Hold up Sister, first we need to approach the Don and Donna and not just get their consent but Adam's as well, we don't want him to think anythings being forced onto him. We'll head over the day after tomorrow, that'll give you and him plenty of time to get some rest and relax."

Lalaine says "Thank you Father." as she tiredly bows her head.
