Wolves and guard dogs snarl and bark,
Poachers' arrows seek their mark,
But foxes slyly slip away
To live and slink another day,
Unless they're foxes in disguise,
Too much the hero to be wise,
Who otter know how this might end,
The risk of shark-nip for a friend,
And yield, alas, their eldritch spark
To the belly of a smiling shark!
