There was only silence as the lycan bound in dark, ash-gray fur stared unblinkingly down to his sinister, red-eyed reflection in the pool of icy water beneath him. His thoughts were running rampant in his mind, questions without answers beginning to claw at him, ravaging his consciousness. The werewolf felt more and more distant from the reflection the longer he stared down to those piercing, blood-red eyes. The lycan had never seen his reflection. It never came to mind until now, where only a hellish fear of the sight was plaguing his thoughts. As much as he tried, he couldn't grasp anything that would pull him away from the beastly face sitting upon the surface of the water.
There was only silence.
