Winter Warning
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Winter was one of Keith’s most chilled out eeveelutions, as was to be expected from him typing. Rarely did the ice type pokemon bother with doing anything that Keith didn’t command of him, and by all rights that was fine with the eevee pokemorph, after all, besides training and fighting against those who came to his gym for a rainbow diamond badge there was nothing that the glaceon was needed for. And thus why it was very easy to find Winter snoozing his life away on the living room sofa. And on the odd chance that other could not be found Keith would send Vapor out to locate the other, the water type eeveelution and he being brothers and all.
At current the Winter and Keith were waiting for Max and Sparkle to come home for the evening, the pair’s run having taken them longer than the eevee pokemorph had thought that it would.
“Hopefully they enjoy the last of the cake that you guys scarfed down.” Keith teased his glaceon, who in turn yawned back at him before licking its chops tiredly. “Sleepy butt.” the gym leader said before reaching over to grab the specially made brush meant for short haired pokemon. Running the bristles across the flanks of the smaller pokemon Keith smiled tenderly as he noted how much Winter enjoyed the attention that he was receiving.
If it was one thing that the ice type was a professional at, it was in the art of accepting affection. From gentle pats onto the head, to soft rubs and cuddles, Winter thoroughly enjoyed being underneath the shadow of someone else’s love, even if said someone was’t human. The times when Keith had caught the ice type eeveelution trying to cuddle up with his brother or Peter made him chuckle. Of course this made both of their own mates somewhat jealous and so it wouldn’t be anything to see Winter shyly slinking away as either Blazer or Panacea came around to try and hog attention away from the whimpering ice type. Keith had tried to work at getting the glaceon to open up and not be so afraid of the others but whatever had happened to him before he had been adopted by the former human had scared him pretty badly.
The memory of how long it had taken for Keith to even get the other to accept food from him as an eevee was something that caused the normal type pokemorph to sight wearily. Winter looked up at him at that.
“Don’t worry, it’s nothing.” the anthro eevee gently. A sudden howl made both of their ears perk upwards. “Huh, that’s an unfamiliar howl.” Keith said while unconsciously clenching the brush within his hand hand enough to cause the wood to crack.
In moments the enter living room was filled with all of the eeveelution Keith owned, with the exception of Sparkle.
When the knob to the front door began to turn everyone was on their feet ready to strike. The sudden introduction of a jolteon into the living room called a halt to what would have been a very powerful display of elemental fireworks.
“Sparkle…?” Keith asked curious while slowly calming down his racing heart. The electric type barked its species name several times up at its master before Blazer padded up to him and then began sniffing him over.
A moment later a six foot four lucario walked its way through the front door of the house.
“And suddenly Max.” Keith chuckled to try and swallow down his nervousness.
‘I scared you.’ the fighting-steel type pokemorph mentally admitted while closing the door behind him.
“Well, not you in particular. Did you hear that howl just now?” Keith said as he watched his lover limp his way over to him.
‘I did.’ Max said as he reintroduced himself into his mate’s personal sphere of space. Before Keith could say anything more he found himself embraced by the larger pokemorph.
“Is something the matter? You’re shaking.” the anthro eevee asked while curling his arms up around his mate’s broad back.
‘Something is out there. Something that may actually be dangerous.’ those words were followed by several barks from Sparkle.
“What?” Keith asked as his long ears tucking down across his head.
‘I don’t know.’
