The transition to color worked well for this image!
You know, I always wondered how canines could walk around on their pawpaws when I, a human with huge amounts of warm blood, can't step on ice for two minutes without crying out in pain.

Thanks! What I used partially for this pic was a combination of color pencils and markers in layers, to get more uniformly strong colors. I already ordered more markers in different colors so I can do more of that. I even made an attempt on digitally coloring the linework, but while it took me just as much time, it didn't look anywhere near as good as this one.

And as for the stepping on ice: part of it might be we don't have leathery soles, and another part is surely we all being massively spoiled by wearing shoes all year long XD I can imagine we might be able to get used to walk barefeet, maybe even in winter. I would like to have pawfeet, but not so much because of the ability to walk barepaw in snow, but rather because they look imo so much prettier than boring human feet :p

And faster! And lighter! But also less capable of holding up heavy weight on just two limbs... There is a reason we are plantargrade as opposed to digigrade.

I guess there would be obvious downsides to digitigrade pawfeet indeed, but I would accept that just for the erotic aspect it would have at least for a pawvert like me XD I imagine it would be like walking in high heels all the time...
