The Little Runecaster
Before discovering the hidden power of the Runes, poor Loki was subjected almost daily to his father's agonizing training. The little arctic fox was pathetic with a staff, a cudgel, any weapon wielded by the forest-dwelling tribe of the northern lands of then-unnamed Midland. And though his bruises would remain for weeks, it would not be long before the future servant of the Crimson King learned how to cast the Runes with more grace and strength than any of his father's stone and wood weapons.
