I guess the answer is rather boring, though ... a lot of practice, time and always learning new techniques.
Using photo references usually helps a lot. :)

Appreciate the responce and honesty, usually everyone gives me the same old Practice practice practice speech. Ive been practicing for close to 13 years now and went to art school and I still suck. I blame poor education, lack of funds for supplies, and lack of computer know how
