(Axel's POV)
I didn't understand what the hell was happening, but when I saw both of Junior's Pokemon fall to the ground, I knew it was trouble. It was exactly like when we last split up, some odd dressed men appeared and attacked us. Except this time, it was a lone man. Apparently this man who turned out to be a woman stepped in between an attack to save Junior. To further aid to my confusion, Junior was a dog hybrid thing and called the white haired woman his Mother. I was as confused as a Psyduck.
The woman held Junior once again when he called her Mother. More tears trailed down her cheeks.
“Yes Son, I'm your Mother. Thank Arceus you at least remember that!" She spoke gently. Her son's canine ears perked a bit but reverted back to their neutral state.
It was difficult to see the woman since she wore that dark robe but what stood out was her face. What startled me was a small scar that went through her right eye. Sure it was just a scar and not an opened bloody wound, but I couldn't imagine how much it hurt. The other main thing, being her hair, was a pure white. It wasn't the typical woman hairstyle of being long and untangled (was that sexist?) but rather it was short. Short enough to only reach to her ears. She was also barely taller than her son, besting him by an inch or so. She also didn't wear any earrings.
After a somewhat long hug, Junior pushed her away slightly. His Mother wiped the tears off her face.
“Junior, it's been so long since I hugged you. You have no idea how happy I am to be this close to you.. I shouldn't have kept my distance, but I had to." She stared down at her feet. Junior mumbled something before looking over at us.
“Junior," I began. “Were you hiding… that all this time?" I motioned toward his head, at his dog features. His ears twitched before falling flat. He slowly nodded.
“S-Sorry Axel.. didn't know how you'd react.. plus, it was out of fear. My team and I agreed to not show anybody because of the slight chance something might happen to me…" Junior informed timidly. Tyranitar whimpered before walking over and patting the worried lupine. What struck me as odd was that it calmed him down. His mother and I chuckled.
“Your name is Robin, isn't it?" The blue haired man questioned. She glared at him once he spoke. The white haired woman lowered her hand behind her and grabbed the handle of a blade, but slowly released it. For somebody who didn't even know his own name, he really made Junior's Mother annoyed. Maybe some tension was between them before he allegedly lost his memories.
“Yes, my name is Robin. Morgan was a name I used to disguise myself. And, may I ask, how you knew it?" He replied with a shrug.
“Like your son, I just… knew. Maybe I knew your whole family as friends… or something. But enough of that," He got closer to Junior and Tyranitar before looking up at Junior's face. A chuckle escaped his mouth.
“Fluffy, eh Fuzzbutt?" He teased. Junior blushed a light red before growling. Now that we knew his secret, the growl really made sense.
“I'll fucking bite your throat out you ass." He threatened, baring his fangs. It immediately shut the guy up and brought a smile to his mother's face.
“Come now Son, let's all leave this damp cave before we end up sleeping in it. You can kill him later." She joked. “But first, hand me some bandages Son?" Junior nodded obediently and handed her some rags. She quickly patched up her arm wound and looked forward. “Follow me, I know of a shortcut."
…
It took us an hour to actually exit the cave. Once we got out, we were in a forest filled area. Oran berried trees covered the road ahead and several Hoothoot and Noctowl arose from their slumber as the sun began to lower in the horizon. The bright orange light it gave off felt relaxing. Almost intoxicating compared to the darkness of that cave.
Junior's Mother stopped and turned to the three of us. A commanding expression plastered on her face.
“You three should set up camp, I'll keep surveillance. And Son?"
“Yes?" He replied.
“Let all your Pokemon out, they all should be healed up from the fighting." She stated. And with that, she jumped up high and disappeared into the trees. Leaves and twigs fell from her interaction. Junior looked up as a singular leaf landed on his snout. He shook it off. I chuckled alongside the nameless man. It felt odd that we both were watching the other. Nobody knew his name and yet he knew both Junior's and his Mother's names. Something wasn't right with him and I was going to keep a sharp eye out. If he stepped out of line by doing anything shady, I'd send Tyranitar or Rhyperior on his ass.
After a couple of seconds, multiple clicks of Pokeballs were heard. Typhlosion, Lucario, Zoroark and Blaziken soon appeared, standing on their feet. The two canines appeared to be healed from their status conditions. Lucario ran toward Junior and hugged him tight. The hybrid returned the hug.
“Cario! Lu… Car?" He barked questioningly.
“Of course, but I feel bad that you and Zorky took those hits.. later I'll make it up to you two, OK?" The two nodded, Lucario released his friend, but Typhlosion immediately took his spot. He twirled his trainer around gleefully. He growled softly but stopped once Junior's mother chuckled above. She hopped down and landed in front of Junior. Feeling threatened, Typhlosion pushed Junior behind him. The other three stood alongside the badger to create a Pokewall.
Typhlosion and Blaziken growled at her, probably saying to back away. She didn't flinch but smiled instead.
“You have great bodyguards Son. They seem strong and reliable!" She stated. Everybody stared at her in confusion when she said son. Lucario closed his eyes. His feeler-like appendages floated with a blue aura before slowly falling back to their neutral state. Looking at the others, he nodded to reassure them. They all let out a large sigh and fell to the floor.
“Blaze, Blaziken!" The dual type commented. The others nodded at whatever he said. Except Junior, who's ears fell flat.
“H-Hey… I'm not that weak.. I can protect myself!" He protested. Typhlosion shook his head in disapproval.
“Ty.. bwah… Typhlosion." He explained flatly. Robin chuckled whereas her son flushed a deep crimson.
“Not true…" The blue haired man chuckled at Junior's embarrassment. Blaziken noticed his chuckle and got back up. He elbowed Junior. The wolf boy stumbled.
“Blaze… Blaza blaze?" He asked rudely. Robin walked toward him and smacked his face. Everybody watched in shock. He stumbled backward and growled at her while rubbing his face.
“You don't talk that way in front of a woman. Have you no decency?" She scolded. The Blaze Pokemon was about to attack her but Junior pulled him back by his arm, with the help of the others. Blaziken just grumbled and sat back down. By that angry grumble, I could easily tell he was upset. Robin chuckled before turning her attention toward her child.
“I need to speak with you Son. It's important you.. that you learn something." She stated grimly. The half wolf nodded but before he could walk toward his mother, a paw pulled him back followed by a whimper.
“Typhlosion.. I, um.. can he come with us?"
“Sure, but only him.." Robin stated. Lucario whimpered because he wasn't allowed to join them. “Cario…." He sadly said. Junior felt bad and walked toward his friend and pat his head in a reassuring manner. The jackal smiled.
Junior, Typhlosion and Robin walked into the forest and disappeared. Once again, I was left behind to make sure nothing happened. I crossed my arms and grumbled. Tyranitar noticed my attitude and nuzzled me. I chuckled.
“Thanks for cheering me up," I scratched under his chin. He growled in bliss. “Love you buddy."
(Typhlosion's POV)
Even if this woman was Junior's mother, I didn't trust her. It wasn't just her sudden appearance, but the fact that back in Lumiose, she hurt him. I couldn't forgive her for hurting my mate.
We walked a fair bit away from the group before Robin stopped. She turned toward us and sat down on a nearby log. Junior and I sat on the grassy floor. The forest breeze felt nice through my fur. Distinct chirps of Bird Pokemon echoed. A flock of small birds flew high above, more than likely to migrate. Everything seemed peaceful but nonetheless, I glared at her. The white haired woman noticed my snarl and brushed it off with a chuckle.
“No need to be intimidating. I know why you distrust me. It's because of the Lumiose incident isn't it?" She nonchalantly stated. Both our ears perked. Junior rubbed where he was hurt before. It was completely healed and showed no remains of a scar.
“How'd you-"
“How'd I know? And how can I understand you? And now how I know what you're thinking?" She taunted. “Simple, with advanced Telepathy." I scratched my head. I didn't know humans had the capability to read minds like Lucario did. Obviously I wasn't the only confused one since Junior tilted his head. His adorable silver doggy ears swayed with his movement.
“So… do I have it? Or is it only for you?" Junior inquired. Robin chuckled before patting my mate's head. He blushed meekly.
“Of course, everything you have is inherited by me.. except you being a Shifter." She stated. That sounded odd. Before we could ask what that was, she started to explain. “Shifters are human-like animal hybrids, but aren't fully of either or." I had a weird feeling about Junior's mom. She seemed sad even when she smiled. Maybe it was my protective side kicking in, I didn't know.
“Shifter huh? Sound alien to describe my… friend as that." I stated. I actually didn't want his mother to find out yet. If Junior wanted to come out about his sexuality then he'd tell her.
Robin's gaze changed upon me saying friend. Placed her hand over her mouth, she giggled. Junior's ears twitched. Not lying, it was really adorable.
“No need for the friend thing." She made air quotes with her fingers when she said friend. “Because I know."
“Y-You know… that we're.."
“That you two are homosexual lovers? Hehe, maybe just a tad." The white haired woman chuckled gleefully. Junior and I blushed a deep red. My mate's ears fell flat.
“O-Oh…" He muttered sadly.
“No need to feel sad son," She scratched underneath his chin. His tail wagged a storm. He likes being scratched there? Hmm.. I thought with sensuality.
“I don't judge. In fact I knew you two would be gay… er, is that offensive? Anyways, if you're happy then I'm happy... And you, Typhlosion." My ears perked and I looked at the woman. At first I thought it'd be a threat because of what I was planning but the soft smile on her face changed my initial thought. “Take care of my son, OK?" She asked sincerely.
“Of course," I leaned to my side and gingerly licked Junior's cheek. He moved away slightly while his blush grew deeper, but it was futile. He couldn't get away from me even if he tried. “I'd never let anybody hurt my little Fluffy. I love him too much." I wrapped my arms around him and buried my muzzle into his neck. I sniffed to get his doggy scent. He obviously groaned but his mother's giggle broke the moment.
“OK, OK, get a room you two, but first, I need to speak with Typhlosion for a bit… alone. Can you excuse us son?" He nodded and pushed me off him. I grumbled at losing the comfort of his neck.
He patted my head before kissing my nose.
“Be good Ty Ty. Love you." He said, still somewhat shy. I blushed from his small kiss. I didn't understand why I was suddenly blushing as often as he did, but I didn't argue. In fact, it felt good.
I watched as my boyfriend (Does he still count as a boyfriend or would it be an understatement?) as he walked through the forest. Once he was out of my lane of sight, I turned to look at Robin. Her happy expression quickly turned into a stern one.
“OK, time to get serious." She began. “First off, and please don't tell him this, but Junior's the only Shifter left in this world." She stated. My ears perked up. I always thought he was the only one, but thinking about it made me realize. If Junior's the last one…then.. oh.. My ears quickly flattened at the realization. Junior was into males. Meaning he didn't want to have pups with a female. Or did he also like females? The question started to itch my brain, but without him here I couldn't get my answer. Also the 'In this world' part confused me too. Was she implying there were more Shifter in other worlds?
I groaned and held my hurting head. If Lucario or Zoroark were the one here, they'd easily remember and understand the whole thing. Sure I wasn't the smartest mon on the team, but at least I wasn't idiotic.
Robin's awkward cough got my attention. I glanced up until looking into her brown eyes. “But you shouldn't worry about his race's extinction. Because of something I saw in the future." Her information made me tilt my head.
“So you can see into the future?" I inquired. My mate's mother nodded. “He can too, haven't you noticed him spacing out a lot? Or having nightmares? Well, that's only a small part of his powers. All of it is known as Beast Sense." I tilted my head. I started to get intrigued by all this information about my canine lover. We started this journey not knowing anything about his sudden transformation, but now suddenly, I knew more about him than Junior did.
“What about the amulet itself? Why did Junior get it from that tiny pink thing?" I recalled. Robin thought for a moment before snapping her fingers. “You mean when Mew guided Junior with Telepathy then gave him the amulet?" She asked. I nodded. I didn't know much of Mew, but from what I did learn she was a powerful Pokemon. Being able to learn any move other Mons could learn. My mother, who was also a Typhlosion, told me and my siblings how legends spoke of the mystical Mew. How she could transform into any Pokemon and walk beside us. How she was our greatest ancestor. And how humans used her DNA to create a clone of her. Honestly, I was surprised I didn't recognize her just from her look.
“So why does Junior have the amulet? What does it mean?" My inquiry wasn't answered however. The brown eyed woman shook her head.
“Some questions cannot be answered. I, however, have a warning for you and your friends." She sighed with a nervous gaze. It seemed like she dreaded getting to the topic she was about to explain.
“Junior has the Wolfen amulet which means things are going to be hard for you guys. It also means that your lover won't be able to control his actions if he somehow activates the amulet's power." She informed.
“Then.. why are you telling me this? Am I able to stop him when he does active that thing's power?" She nodded. Truth be told, I didn't think I'd be of much importance when it involved Junior's amulet but knowing I'm the only one who can help him control his power… well it made me happy and anxious. Robin, obviously knowing what I was thinking, patted my head. Her touch felt just like Junior's, soft and welcoming.
“You needn't worry Typhlosion. You won't need to do anything rash or too difficult.. are you ready?" I nodded. I would do anything to help my mate and no matter how long it took, I wouldn't fail him. Ever.
(Blaziken's POV)
Naturally, I was confused to this whole ordeal. I've been in my Pokeball too long to even understand these events. Fuck, who the hell was this blue haired guy and white haired woman? The woman at least said she was Junior's mother.. which I wouldn't have believed if it weren't for Lucario. I didn't trust the woman and her bitch-slapping me didn't help her cause. If it weren't for the others holding me back, I would've attacked her. Thankfully they were strong enough to withstand my strength because hurting my trainer's mother would have been a one class ticket to the Pokeball for a year-ish.
I grumbled at having only my thoughts to pass the time. The blue haired man smirked at me, more than likely from me being slapped. I scowled.
“Fucker, I dare you to try some shit. You'll be running with your ass ablaze if you do." I growled. His ugly mug only grew more. Oh how he was getting on my nerves. Typhlosion did that exact shit when we were younger but at least I was able to do something about it. With this weirdo.. I couldn't. At least not now. Just you wait, Blue. You better watch your damn back! I thought.
I decided to try idle chat to pass the time while waiting for Junior and the badger. I elbowed Zoroark to get his attention.
“What?" He asked. His ears twitched along his question. Lucario also turned to face me. Albeit, he looked confused, a sense of curiosity and yearning to know shrouded him.
“Just wanted to ask if Junior explained strategies while I was in my ball. Also did you guys beat any gyms during my ball time?" I was genuinely interested if they had because it'd be another step closer to fighting the Kalos Elite Four and Champion. Heck I could've just let them fight the Gym Leaders and I'd fight the Champion's team 1 v 6! And I knew I'd be able to beat six Mons without rest because I knew I was tough! Lucario broke my attention with a single action. A slow shake of his head. I grumbled. Don't think I can do it huh? I thought with stubbornness in my voice…? Thoughts? Eh whatever, you got what I meant. Oh you could, but Junior wouldn't like that. He'd say, and I quote, Teamwork is how you guys win. Not by brains nor brawns alone but with strong bonds and understanding of your comrades. He smiled at me. I grumbled and crossed my arms. I hated being shown up especially by Lucario. Hell I didn't hate him.. but I hated being corrected. It made me feel like an idiot.
“Well…" Zoroark began. I quickly switched my gaze toward him. “No, we didn't… actually Junior said while we wait for the other gym leaders to handle the situation about Pokemon going rogue, we'd be fighting the next town's gym leader. If you want you can ask Junior when he- oh, there he is!" Zoroark pointed forward at the hoodless lupine. Junior wasn't with Typhlosion nor Robin which peaked my interest but it quickly vanished once he smiled at us. His smile was bright and cheerful but the sight of him made me regret not realizing who he was before. Yes, I was still regretting what I did, who wouldn't? I almost killed my friend because I didn't try to make sense of the situation. I didn't deserve Junior's forgiveness, but he gave it to me anyways.
Guess I was accidentally staring at the wolf boy too long because he had to clap his paws to snap me out of thoughts. His clap also frightened Lucario a bit.
“Sorry bud, didn't mean to scare you." He wholeheartedly apologized. A sheepish chuckle from the jackal reached our ears. A quick glance at him revealed his flushed cheeks and flattened ears. I stared at the ground and sighed. It actually amazed me how much Lucario acted like Junior. I always thought Lucarios were strong willed, not submissive pups. Actually that could've been said about us Blaziken too. Except that Blaziken weren't ever weak nor submissive. I knew that for a fact.
“... and that's kinda the gist of it." Junior said. I looked at the hoodless canine, baffled. I was too lost in thoughts to even realized he was talking.
“Wait! What'd you say?! I didn't hear!" My exclamation made Junior's ears perk. Lucario and Zoroark sighed. They sounded annoyed and/or confused but I didn't give it a second thought.
The half wolf nervously chuckled. His ears did the natural routine of perking up. The dog scratched the back of his head.
“You really didn't pay attention for 10 minutes? Uh... well I guess I can sum it all up real quick.." Wolfy coughed before smiling. “Turns out, I belong to a dying race." His happy demeanor looked odd with that sadistic sounding sentence. What he said also intrigued me.
“Dying race? Wait, what race?" I asked. Junior's left ear fell flat but returned to it's natural state. That was new. I thought. Whenever his ears flattened it was usually both ears. The same thing could've been said about everybody else on the team.
“Apparently I'm from a race known as Shifters who aren't fully human nor fully animal."
“No shit. You're a fucking dog!" I motioned toward his dog ears to help clarify my point. Junior nervously rubbed his neck. A quick twitch of his silver ears added to his already uneasy state.
“Well… yeah b-but well.. know what I meant by dying race?" I shook my head.
“I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, but I could be. I don't know. My mother didn't explain much of it." His short explanation confused me. I always thought he was the only one because I'd never seen another half wolf creature before. But finding out that he was a part of something that was bigger and not knowing where to find them… it kinda felt sad to know that. For fucks sakes, Junior must've felt so alone! I actually considered returning the awkward hug he gave me before but Typhlosion and Robin returning ruined my chance to help my friend. Their footsteps crunching the leaves got Junior's attention. His tail wagged before turning around. This gave his mother a light chuckle.
“Son, you seem to be happy."
“Why do you think that?"
“Um… dude." Zoroark tapped the lupine's tail making him jump. “We can see your tail wagging. At this speed it can chop down a tree!" He joked. Junior's face started to turn red. His tail even hid between his legs.
“Well… it wasn't going THAT fast…." He sheepishly stated. The badger chuckled.
“Junior we all know that's a lie. Your tail wags more often compared to Lucario's!" I actually agreed with the other starter. Our trainer did wag his tail too often but I guess it was alright. He did just almost die a few times this past month. That gave me enough reason to wave past the subject.
“So, since that little laughter is out if the way. Son, care to elaborate where you all are heading? And how you met… those two humans?" Robin asked. The softness in her voice really reminded me of when I first met Junior. Dammit! Her huge resemblance to Junior really makes it hard to hate her! I angrily thought. Unknowingly, I had both my claws balled up. It wasn't until Junior tapped my arm that I noticed it. He gave me a glare that I remembered. It was Junior's 'calm it' look. I sighed before slowly reaching a relaxing state.
“Axel… well, long story. The other guy, not that long." Junior flatly explained. The whistles of the wind reached us. Junior's fur blew gently in the wind alongside Zoroark's and Lucario's. The three happily sighed.
“That feels nice.." Junior stated. He stayed quiet for a moment before shaking his head. A blush of embarrassment on his cheeks. “Uh… forget I said anything, Axel?"
“Yeah?" The blonde replied.
“How's… he doing?" Junior asked, motioning toward the other human. He was laying down facing us but Tyranitar watched him. He didn't look intimidating but Junior taught us better to judge a mon by their cover. I growled at him, he just shrugged.
“No need to growl you overgrown chicken. I don't bite, at least not in front of others. Unless that's what you want." He teased. Lucario must've sensed me getting angry because not a second later, he shook his head. I sighed. No matter how much I hated it, he knew better.
“No trouble, but that's because Tyranitar was watching him. Isn't that right buddy?" The younger trainer's attention drifted to his partner. The Armor Pokemon had a huge smile on his face accompanied by a quick nod. He seemed to enjoy watching over others judging by that smile. The blue haired man grumbled.
“Stupid Pokemon, doesn't let me do anything." He complained. He crossed his arms which made me chuckle. He narrowed his eyes at me. A hint of anger surrounded him.
Junior coughed awkwardly. Our attention went toward our trainer. He muttered something to himself before happily nudging his starter.
“What?" Typhlosion asked.
“What'd my mom tell you? Anything we should know?" Wolfy's inquiry got all the Pokemon's interests.
“What did she tell you? Anything else involving the amulet?" Zoroark asked. Not a second earlier, everybody (including Axel and the other man) stared at the pure Fire Type. He chuckled and rubbed his head.
“Well uh.. just stuff involving the amulet. You know… like-"
“That's not important at the moment!" Robin cut in. “Really it's NOT important right now. Right Typhlosion?" The white haired woman seemed to growl at him. The badger shuddered.
“Right! Not important at all! …. C-Can we finish setting up the camp? I'm getting tired." I narrowed my eyes at the badger, registering his reaction to Junior's mother. She sounded like she was blackmailing him. I looked over at Lucario and Zoroark. They also seemed skeptical. What was she up to? I wearily thought.
….
It took a few hours to fully set up the camp. Multiple tents were set up because Junior loathed the thought of us, his Pokemon, sleeping outside. Axel and his team had their own tent. Even the other man got one. If I had a choice on the matter, he'd be sleeping outside tied to a tree.
The fireplace was in the middle of the camp, burning brightly as ever before (especially since Junior asked that we use my fire). I stared into the fire for awhile as the day turned to dusk. I liked the crackling sounds it made. Almost as much as the marshmallows I was roasting.
I twirled the marshmallow around until every side was turned into a golden brown. I stared at it with an accomplished smile. An old memory of Johto emerged from my mind. It was when I tried to cook a marshmallow with my Flamethrower as a Combusken. It didn't turn out well. The poor delectable snack was charred and Junior had to teach me that fire straight from me would always burn it. I also tried to cook my marshmallow while it was on my claws. That too didn't turn out well.
“Like them?" The half wolf asked, breaking me out of my thoughts. He sat down beside me holding a stick before leaning toward me and took out a pink marshmallow from the filled bag. He stuck it to the tip of the stick and cautiously started to cook it. His tail wagged. I mumbled.
“I guess they are. Thanks, by the way." I took a bite into my marshmallow, taking more than half of it. It was really squishy, but in a good way.
“For what?" Junior asked, ears twitched with curiosity. I grumbled.
“For buying these marshmallows. I uh.. never really thanked you. So thanks, and don't tell that badger or those dogs I was being nice. If you do, you'll regret it later." Normally, I would've said 'Or else I'd kill you' but given all the shit hitting the fan it seemed like a bad idea.
Junior chuckled before eating a small bit of his marshmallow. It wasn't even more than a third of it! “I know I know… uh, Blaziken?" My trainer's shy approach intrigued me. I popped another marshmallow into my beak before looking at the pup.
“What?" I asked still chewing. Hey, don't judge me by my manners. He was my friend so to hell with morals.
His silver canine ears fell down to his skull. A strong sense of fear shrouded him. Probably was afraid of the topic he was going to ask me.
“Did, uh… did you go easy on me when we last sparred?" I instinctively shook my head. “I never go easy on you. Because you getting stronger also benefits me to having a worthy sparring partner. Hand me another marshmallow?" I changed the subject and slowly roasted another treat. Truth be told, I kinda did hold back but only by a smidge. If I threw him down at full strength he'd be in the hospital with multiple broken bones. Plus he WAS worthy of being my sparring partner. Unlike Lucario or Zoroark, Junior wasn't one to give up so easily and I admired that. He also had gotten a lot faster and stronger as a Shifter compared to his old human form. But that didn't mean I'd ever let the dog win, hell fucking no. If he wanted to win one of our sparring matches, he had to earn it.
Junior nodded. “Guess it was a silly question." He quietly ate the rest of the marshmallow before setting the stick he was using on his lap. The Shifter sighed before staring up at the stars. I stared at him for awhile thinking of something to say to him.
“Where's that badger of yours at? Normally, he wouldn't leave your side until it's time to sleep." I feigned caring. Not because I didn't care (which was a part of it) but I didn't want to seem rude. Shocker huh? Nonetheless, Junior glanced behind him, at his tent, with a whimper. Damn he acted so much like a bitch.
“He's sleeping right now. He got really tired from setting up camp. But he'll wake up later, it's just a nap." His tail wagged. Truth be told, I liked seeing Junior without a hoodie. Made the ordeal less of a hassle. I yawned before grabbing a raw marshmallow and throwing it into my beak. Junior watched me as I unenthusiastically ate the squishy pink snack. The Shifter chuckled.
“What?" I asked, slightly annoyed. He shook his head and stared up at the stars, staying quiet. I growled and punched his arm. He winced in pain and held his arm. “Oh shut up! You're faking it! I didn't even it you that hard!"
“It hurt asshole! You hit like a fucking truck!" He growled back. Looking at my trainer, holding his arm and growling, well it looked funny. Junior was in no means threatening. Even a Skitty was more vicious than he was.
Either way, Junior started to get up but I pulled him back down by his shirt. I still forgot to hold back my strength and he was pulled down toward the floor with a huge thud. He groaned. “Whyyy..?"
“Because I want you to stay. More fun to eat by the campfire together than alone." I passed another marshmallow to the kid. He unwillingly took it.
“Now eat. If not I'll force it into you." My threat reached him and he started to eat it. I smirked. Good puppy I thought dominantly. Obviously there was a line that if I crossed he'd punish me but as long as I didn't cross it I was fine. Oddly though, his tail wagged. The thought that he liked being told what to do crossed my mind, maybe he even liked it to a sexual level. I chuckled. Knowing Junior, he'd probably submit to his girlfriend. That was if he ever got one being a Shifter.
Once the dog was done he looked at me with a smile. Tail wagged fast enough to chop down an Oran berry tree. I decided to humor him and started to pet him. He grumbled as his ears fell to the sides but he didn't command me to stop. I would've kept it up but a rustling from inside a tent made Junior pull away. It was Zoroark, he yawned and sat down next to Junior. Without any words he grabbed the stick Junior was using and started to cook his own marshmallows on it. We stared at the intruder for a few seconds before he turned to face us.
“What? I got hungry…" He declared. “Oh, and Junior, Lucario said that he'll take first watch. If that's OK with you." The silver dog nodded his head. Zoroark smiled, ate his marshmallows and went back in the tent. Junior glanced at me. He gestured to the tents before getting up and entering a tent. As odd as it looked, Junior entered the tent Typhlosion was sleeping in. Probably because there was only 5 tents so Junior and Typhlosion had to buddy up. Same with the two canines. The only reason Axel and blue hair didn't get paired up was because they hated each other. I had my own tent because I wasn't the type of Mon to share a room. But nonetheless, I jumped to my feet and headed to my tent. I was actually getting kinda tired. Before I got inside, Lucario exited his. He stretched with a soft sigh.
“Goodnight Blaziken, you're up on last guard OK?" He said, not even looking at me. I waved away before laying down on the red blanket. The soft material assisted me into a much needed quick sleep.
