Mira walked down the street of a now ruined city on earth. She wore a black cloak which hid her face and tail well. The city was long since abandoned the wreckage of old human military vehicles scattered about. She saw the bones and remains of the dead humans and a few furs but she counted more human corpses then furs littering the ground. She wasn't sure why but she had a very strong urge to return to earth. Like the rest of the skull hunters she too as immune to the ion radiation in the planet's atmosphere. She had spent the last few days exploring the area something was very familiar about the city.

She had made her way to the large concert stage. The once lovely buildings lay in shambles a mere shell of its former glory. Vegetation had grown on it. She put a paw on the a broken speaker only for a moment before moving on. Though she had yet to realize it she had made her way back to the town she used to live in with Jaden. Their home town. Mira wandered onto the stage fuzzy images raced through her mind however she was unable figure out what those memories where.

She sat on the edge of the stage. Gazing at the seats. Images of people cheering both human and furs alike flicked before her. She felt like she was starting to remember something but each time she tried to remember she was rewarded with a sever head ache. The more she tried to remember the worse it got eventuality she gave up and left the hall. She made her way to a house. Part of the roof had long since saved in she made her inside. If there was anything of value in the house it was long since gone possibly taken by looters. She walked into the living room where a picture stood she made her way over and saw a picture of her as a kit the other half of the photo was covered in dirt and grime. She used part of her cloak to wipe it clean her curiosity now peeked. When she cleaned it off she saw it was a picture a human boy smiling with his arm around her. Mira recognized Jaden's instantly as the human she saw Rin shoot soon as she saw it memories of Jaden getting shot off the roof flooded her mind and with it a blast of sever pain in her head and chest. She gripped her chest dropping the photo on the floor panting heavily. She growled angrily her fur standing on end. She has no idea why these memories tortured her so. After a few deep breaths she calmed down and wiped the tears from her eyes looking at them confused.

“Why does seeing that mans face haunt me!?" She growled.

The vixen made her way down the street exploring the ruins of the city further. She then made her way to the car. The car she saw Jaden landed on when Rin shot him. Tears began to stream from her eyes again the vixen let out a feral howl striking the car in a fit of rage with her foot sending it crashing a few feet away. She took a breath trying calm down. After a while she finally did relax the fur on her bristling fur finally lay flat though her ears remained flatten against her head. They suddenly perked up when she heard someone coming. She was brought back to reality when she saw Rin walking over.

“Are you finished exploring yet?" Rin asked looking over to see the wrecked car.

That human…...why do I have memories of him why am I tormented every time I am reminded of him.

Rin raised a brow her tails flicking. She knew all to well Mira had vague memories of Jaden she knew how much the two loved one another. She had thought seeing Jaden gunned down would finally make her memories vanish for good but now the opposite was happening whoever the collar Mira wore keep the memories at bay though some small faint one slipped though. She could erase Mira's memory now but that was a quick fix. They would eventually return once more and Mira would find it suspicious that Rin would take a sudden interest in her memories when she never seemed to care before. She had to tread carefully.

“Why don't you ask Shinryu after all he saved you I am sure he can explain why that human filth plagues your mind." Rin suggested.

Mira closed her eyes her tail swaying slowly as she though about it. Rin's ear folded slightly a glimmer of hope pulse with in her. Mira nodded and Rin felt a rush of relief. Mira had rose through out the ranks. Her training with the skull hunters had granted her her 9^th tail. She now stood equal to Rin in terms of power tails. With that Mira made her way back to her ship which sat not too far away cloaked. She stepped inside and took off. Rin watched as the ship vanished in the distance hearing to space. Her ears perked when she ears the sound of rustling debris. She then went to investigate and soon found its source. It was a human woman holding 3 children. The kids stood in front of their mother forming a defensive line. Rin began to smiles showing her fangs.

“Well hello there." Rin said.

“Y-you wont take my kids!" the mother yelled.

“Don't worry. I would never deprive a mother of her children. You shall remain together in this world and in the next." Rin said all 9 of her tails fanning out.

The human's eyes widened in pure terror as massive shape loomed over them. Nearby humans heard what sounded like a the growl of a savage predator and then silence. When they went to investigate all they found was a few drops of blood and a massive canine paw print on the ground.

At the skull hunters base Mira walked down the hall to see Shinryu who was mediating in his room. He was wearing a white kimono blue flames floated in the air orbiting him. Before Mira could knock Shin spoke.

“Enter." he said not once opening his eyes or even moving.

Mira walked in noticing the room was a traditional Japanese style.

“Mira please sit." shin said gesturing to the floor cushion in front of him.

Mira knelt down on the cushion it was surprisingly comfortable. She saw a cup of fresh poured green tea float over to her. She took it and thanked him.

“Now what troubles you? Shin asked.

As Mira told him about her memories and the pain and torment she got when she tried to remember shin opened his eyes the blue flames going out.

“Why do I keep seeing him? Every time I am reminded of him all I get are tears and pain. PLEASE tell me." Mira said trying to hide to desperation.

Shin's ears folded back as he let out a sigh. He feared this may happen. He knew Mira and Jaden were mates it was clear her love for him was strong. He knew her memories would eventually come back but with the collar blocking them he could still control and use her. At least that's what he though. Clearly the collar was blocking 98% of the memories of Jaden the few fragments she does remember are incomplete as a result it was causing her sever mental conflict. The conflict was the source behind her pain But he realized he could use those old feelings against Jaden and the others. Shin sighed looking Mira in the eye. Mira looked back her ears forward giving him her full attention.

“I hoped to spare you this. Its time I told you the whole story of how we rescued you. As you know you were gravely injured on deaths door. What I didn't tell you is this. The human you remember is named Jaden and he was once your mate for quite sometime. However he never loved you he was only using you for money and a place to live he took you away from everything. Including your friends and family all the while deceiving you keeping you blind to his true nature. But then when dragon lord Kira attacked he fled and left you to die abandoning you to save himself. No matter how much you called to him." Shin said.

As shin told this to Mira he touched her forehead giving her with false memories. Mira saw images of Jaden spending all her money, pleasuring her for sex and guilt tripping her when she said no. But the one that angered her most was a memory of Jaden shoving Mira shoving her tot he ground stealing her car keys. The then locked Mira out of the car. Mira banged on the door frantically begging for him to let her in but he just sped away leaving her at the dragons mercy. Shin removed his paw from her forehead.

“I kept this from you because I didn't want you to relive the pain from such a betrayal. I apologize." Shin said faking sympathy.

Shin's lie had fooled her. Mira sat there tears streamed down her eyes. However this time there was no pain no headaches, instead of sorrow a seething rage took over followed by a powerful lust for revenge. A savage feral growl escaped her throat as she narrowed her eyes with a snarl.

“The human is still alive isn't he?" She asked.

Shinryu nodded.

Mira stood up her ears flat a look of pure furry shown in her eyes.

“Then by the pit….For his treachery that human and every last one of his allies will know hell." Mira snarled.

The room began to shake as all nine of Mira's tails appear the fur bristling her bluish green eyes now a fiery red and yellow. Shin smiled darkly.

“Yes my friend you will have your vengeance However we must first liberate Shiva from the Wyvernian prison. In time you will get the prey you seek." he said reassuringly

Mira growled impatiently. She was chomping at the bit find Jaden determined to kill him.

Shiva sat in her cell looking at the calendar. She grinned darkly her ears flat against her head. Only 3 days left till the full moon and phase one of the skull hunters plan.
