For the one who's always there,
Who makes it easier to bear,
The trials and the tribulations,
The worst of earth's manifestations,
Everything that brings me down,
No longer causes me to frown,
Because I have a secret weapon,
Sorrow is forever threatened,
The soothing nature of your presence,
Fills me up with effervescence,
Your gentle ways and happy grin,
Make it all okay again,
And each day brings with it anew,
More energy to get me through,
So even in my darkest hour,
Hope is blooming like a flower,
I'm thankful each and every day,
And take this opportunity to say,
"Thank you for always being there,
I hope you know how much I care."
Light in the Darkness
I wrote this poem for my pet and closest friend, Swift Diamond on FA (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/swiftdiamond), to cheer her up. Typed it up on my phone while at work. However, I think this poem is worth sharing; it would be a good message to anyone who has a friend, lover, family member, etc., and who needs a few additional words to get this message across. "You've done a lot for me, and I love the hell out of you for it." XD
