Although sooner or later they need bathing and then the stink comes as wet dogs smell worse than dry ones.
Something I wanted to ask.
Since the dogs aren't shy and most have long fur is clothing optional or only needed in communal areas?
In my story they only wear collars, that serves as both clothing and ID (The anthros are held in the same standing as ferals).
I'd take them outside to do their business and roam around the backyard while I went around the corner to check on the pool equipment. Suddenly, I'd be aware of the silence, and neither of them was around ... So of course, back to the pool, and there they were sitting in the water on the top step looking over their shoulders at me smiling like, "You really think we WEREN'T gonna do it?!" ... "Who do you think you're kidding?! ... Now come on, get in your trunks we want to swim!"
Oh how I miss them and the rest of my family.
Guess if these guys ever encounter "space otters" they might find themselves more amenable to playing in the water! :P
It's never late to adopt another dog. After all, they are family as well :)
