Ash and Fire
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Had the pleasure of doing a commission for Robbo over on FA . Both the character and the area probably end up looking familiar to a lot of people because it's RedXII from Final Fantasy shortly before the end of his journey down to Ash Lake.
Let's just hope he's got the teleport item already, or else he'll be forced to climb the whole fucking tree with the bullshit petrify enemies again just like i had to....
Copyright for the characters portrayed obviously lies not with me but their respective company. Art's done by me though.

Even if FF8 was a better game
Weeks later, I went to my games dealer with a friend of mine (back then we visited the beautiful historic center of our town a whole lot, almost daily) and saw FF7 in the shop window. Since I was all out of games and it looked decent, I bought it. Installed it, and just wanted to try it out real quick back home, and said friend had to drag me away from my computer several hours later.
For me, FF7 is probably the defining point of my youth. Before it, I've never seen a game that understood it just as well to mix up humor and the feeling of impending doom like this masterpiece.
Nanaki was my favourite character, but that's mostly for the furry aspect of course. None of the main characters in this game was in any way bad. Still, to this day I remember the scene on the boat when he stumbles around on his hind legs while wearing a Shinra uniform, trying to be all inconspicuous: i laughed hard, only to almost cry a few hours later in Cosmo Canyon again due to the tragic story.
That being said: thank you for this amazing piece of art. It put a big smile on my face.
